Finally showing Masa's mods to everyone
Masa the MVP
They have so many useful features that can replace other mods, like bounding boxes of structures and shulker box preview windows.
Here's hoping we get Shulker previews in vanilla with 1.17 -- seeing the way they preview bundles gives me hope they'll apply it to Shulkers as well.
@@ImSquiggs I'm using a combo of shulker preview and a mod called quickshulker that let's you open a shulker box or an ender chest in your inventory as if it was placed down. To me that makes a big difference in inventory management, but it's not the ultimate solution to the underlying problem that there are just too many different blocks and items in the vanilla game now.
More like Masa the Messiah
ya. been using these for a while and they are godsend.
I think it bears highlighting that the most under rated feature of Masa's mods is superb enhancement of the menu system. Having a GUI that's clean, usable, searchable and detailed with hover-text explanations really sets these mods apart.
Yet the funny thing is that the menu is probably the worst part of (at least some of) these mods in the current versions... :P I've worked on a ton of improvements to them over the past months, which should hopefully come out within the next few months.
@@maruohon at least they are consistent, look good, and is somewhat easy to use. Other than Tweakeroo which is kinda confusing, I think the menus are fine.
@@dillanagarwalla6100 Both Tweakeroo and MiniHUD have the issue that config options that basically belong to the same feature are spread over multiple categories. This was due to implementation limitations in the older malilib versions, where I couldn't have multiple options on the same line basically. I completely rewrote the menu systems and code this past summer, and currently the only mod that hasn't yet been fully updated to the new code is Litematica. But there are countless other improvements and often requested new features on my todo list that I would also like to include to the next round of bigger updates, so it will still take probably at least a couple of months before those are done. And since main development still happens on 1.12.2, then I will have the huge task of updating all that new code from 1.12.2 to 1.13.2, 1.14.4, 1.15.2 and then finally to 1.16.4. So I'm kind of hoping I could do the next updates around the end of the year, but that may bee way too optimistic... usually stuff takes a lot longer than I would initially estimate.
@@maruohon may i ask
the 1.16 and 1.15 version is it using forge or fabric?
since i have a modpack that i have been made and i am strugling to searching slime chunk since the world generation is overhauled, and i think your mods might be helfull for it
@@ShiroCh_ID There are Forge versions of Item Scroller and MiniHUD for 1.15.2, but not yet for 1.16.x. All the 1.16.x versions are currently for Fabric. 1.16.x Forge versions are planned, but I'm only making those ports after I get the next bigger updates for Fabric done, and that will likely be at some point in early 2021, hopefully. However for slime chunks specifically nothing has changed ever since they were first added. So you could also use an online slime chunk finder. But also I think the Bounding Box Outlines Reloaded mod might have Forge versions for 1.16.x as well? And it also has a slime chunk overlay. But like I said MiniHUD will also get the 1.16 Forge ports maybe at some point in January or February.

Should've mentioned that some of the showcased things need serverside carpet support (for example block rotation and bounding boxes) or need the world seed (for example slime chunk display)
he said it about slime chunks: 13:15
@@tochka832 My bad on that, missed that bit. Though it wasnt mentioned when he showed them on the "Custom F3 text" thing for minihud, or whatever you'd want to call it.
could you please tell me what does that mean? :0
@@saaros If you play on servers, your servers need to be running a server side mod called "Carpet" and needs to have the support for these enabled. (Very unlikely that this is the case if you're playing normie servers)

I bet a lot of people have been waiting for this
So nice to see some great features of these wonderful mods! Masa is a great developer but there are so many features in these mods that I don’t know how they work or how to use them, so it’s nice to see how some features could improve gameplay
I love how i just asked you this a few days ago and now you upload this. I know it is not because of me but i feel special anyways.

I've been using these same mods in my SP world, and they just make the game so much more enjoyable.
Okay wow. A lot of these features are things I've been looking for for a long time and never knew how to do them. Thank you mango
Masa is awesome, in addition to doing awesome things in game, he does mods incredibly customizable and so frequently updated, and is always super helpful when you ask him question about is! All in all, I think I wouldn't play without his mods, they help so much avoid the grind of the game that I don't mind keep playing after 10 years :D

Thank you! I've been wanting this video!
Hi! Could you also do a video on lag prevention?
You are definitely one of the best experts on that subject, and many servers would definitely benefit from advices!
The miniHUD features that I use most are the shulker viewer and the light level display. It makes mob-proofing an area so simple even I can do it!
Last month I've been trying to find what mods u use and now u post this, THANK YOU!
Having the gamma override is so nice for videos. A lot of UA-camrs don't notice how hard it is to watch on YT because it's still viewable on their screen. It's nice to see UA-camrs use gamma override to just get rid of that problem.
a seperate showcase of tweakaroo would be awesome!
Hooray for Masa. Thank you both!

Bro I have been wanting this video for sooo long
I was asking that on your Discord and the smart boys helped me, tho thanks for making that video this is very useful!
Bro I’ve been wanting this video forever
Yess! Was hoping for something like this!
I actually searched 2 hours ago “Ilmango’s mods used” for 20 minutes without any luck, and then I see this video uploaded several hours ago. Today is a good day. (Thank you for the upload!)
Ive been waiting this for months! :D
Finally! I've wanted to know how youtubers do that Item Scroller thing for ages!
Thanks a lot, I recently switched to a Fabric server because I was using a lot of the scicraft community mods and I couldn't figure out how to mass craft items with item scroller (crafting 500 dispensers for a farm broke every part of my motivation)
I stongly advice technical minecrafters to use carpetmod this is a must have, it only took me a morning to figure out the rates of all my farms making test in a copy of the world in creative and I did a very fancy Google Doc with every detail about the productivity of my server.
To anyone who would like a good explanation of litematica LogicalGeekBoy has a great video on it.
Yeah he did a very good detailed explanation recently - good call
I started using MiniHud and Tweakeroo after you and can't live without them! xD
The tweakeroo tutorial would be great. I use a lot of it already but i cant help but feel im not using it to its full potential
Best way to do it is to learn first-hand. Scroll through the huge list of toggles, and learn about each one. Then it's just a matter of assigning good hotkeys that you'll remember, and you're good to go.
Unless you need help with the adjacent/offset/rotation placement. That's just getting the muscle memory down, which, like everything else, takes just practice.
pog
WoooW
can adjust most stuff like the grid and after clicker with the scroll mango!
grid fast placment is insane also remember rotation and fast placment on and farm done in no time!
i use grid placement sometimes to mesure an area, like i place blocks every 10 block and get a nice perspective of how much space i have to work with
the diagonal is usefull to place ice blocks at the bottom of the perimeter and flod it!
thank you i have been waiting for this (mainly light medica i know i spelled it wrong, i couldnt find it when i went to get it originally)
Masa's mods are the greatest. I will never regret donating a good meal for their work.

You forgot to mention the material list feature of litematica which tells you exact ammounts of blocks you need to build your structure and how much you already have/missing.
I’m so happy this is a thing!
A video where you explain the options of twekaroo would be great :)
Thanks ! Random hotbar looks cool.
Great Video ilmango! A detailed one would be highly appreciated.
One of the features that can be really useful in tweakeroo is the one that disables client side entity processing (or something like that), allowing you to fix a terrible mistake like having 5000 entities in render distance
Before I watch:
Yes, I wanted this for so long! (Although I already use these mods myself)
How did you get it?
@@GoodByeWorld895 I found most of these mods by searching myself. I found Litematica, by searching "blueprint mod minecraft java", and I found miniHUD when searching for a mod that could display a despawn sphere. I found item scroller and tweakeroo along the way.

Tweakeroo and the other mods is exactly what I always wanted! I was using a hacked client for that stuff till now but I wanted something that I could use in any server
Danke für dieses Video!
FINALLY I ASKED FOR THIS FOR SO LONG
Every technical player should be notified about these
This video was so interesting! I'd love a tutorial on some of the mods!
HOW HAVE I BEEN LIVING WITHOUT THESE !?!?!?!?
Random tip for people who dont want to use mods, you can basically do the same thing as the gamma override by going into your "options.txt" file and setting gamma to like 5 or 10
These mods are insane. As a big-time player, thx
For your tutorial (and maybe even SciCraft) videos, can you drop a link of a download for the schematic of the build in the description? If not, please try to make a channel in the SciCraft Discord for them. Thanks!

A clientside mod suggestion: AppleSkin
It displays how much hunger and saturation a food will give both when you hover over the item (currently bugged) and when you are holding it. It also displays an estimation of your current saturation. If the mod is also installed serverside, it will be able to show exactly how much saturation you have as well as how much exhaustion (the progress to losing a bar of hunger or saturation) you have.
VanillaTweaks has a similar resource pack
Oh mee god FINALLY :D
Thanks !!
Thanks so much. I would love a tutorial on litematica. Specifically all the tool features available in creative. I still can’t figure out how to properly use them all.
There are pinned messages on the SciCraft Discord. But basically the Fill, Replace and Delete modes are similar to the vanilla /fill command, but they just use the Litematica area selection boxes as the areas (plus they prevent all block updates in single player). The Paste mode directly places the currently selected placement's schematic to the world, in single player again without block updates. You "trigger" all of these action with the executeOperation hotkey, while holding the "tool" (stick). For the Fill and Replace modes you use left Alt + middle click (and left Shift + middle click) to select the block to use (and what to replace).
Big shout out to Masa for these awesome mods. Thank you so much! Of course you too ilmango for bringing these to to the forefront.
Thanks this was helpful
