We miss you, JJ. Terminal intermediate players like myself fully appreciated your approach to lessons. If you don't possess the basics then move on to someone that tells you "place your 3rd finger on the 4th fret...". You're truly missed, James.

As long as you're doing Ronson, Width of a Circle is an obscure Bowie gem.

This is so good , I remember being blown away in '72 watching Bowie/Spiders at the Liverpool Boxing Stadium. Fantastic tuition.

The best guitar tutorial on UA-cam. No muss, no fuss…pure meat and potato instruction. The way it should be. Much appreciated. 🤘

Great idea about flattening your fretting fingers in those first 2 chords. Makes it so much easier to play. Thanks.

Love the Mick Ronson "trip" ........ FAR OUT as the lyrics say in Moonage Daydream. Could you please go on a Randy California "trip" and do a lesson on Spirit's version of Like A Rolling Stone from the Spirit of '76 album.Keep up the good work and keep those lessons coming. Thank you.

Really awesome, always wanted to play the classic Bowie/Ronson tunes, I will be digging on these for awhile. Hey, while you're on the Bowie kick, would you mind throwing in Panic In Detroit, please?

James you win on guitar today, maybe it's my new headphones, more range, I'd say you nailed this one, as you were jamming there were times when it sounded like an epic rockin live performance, ya know, sometimes things are live and everything in sync, gives ya the ' wow' effect

Great interpretion of the song. You have the knack of putting a structure to lead guitar within the pentatonic boxes which makes it easier to play and teach. Well Done

I reckon this is the Ronson interview you mentioned? (The whole interview is captivating, but my favorite part begins at 38 minutes when he talks about how he came up with his sound "Well just plug in, turn it up and away we go... " and when he demos Jean Genie he does it just the way you play it here.) ua-cam.com/video/tIIDwjQpFyo/v-deo.html

I love all your videos, so I hate being at all, ummm.... critical(?). But I am pretty sure Ronson is playing choppy down stroke E chords during the verses - kinda like what you are doing here. But he's just opening the D string on each fourth chop to achieve an E7.
Could be wrong, but I remember hearing him do that, and thinking to myself, "Oh! That's what he's doing!"
But I came here because I knew you'd be able to show me the correct playing of the, "Let yourself go! Go!" slide up the neck.
