- The title is really out there but regardless I'm hoping this vid doesn't attract some weirdos. I simply watched Aamis 2019 directed by Bhaskar Hazarika and was so amazed that I knew I HAD to make a video essay about it, and I thought that using c@nnibalism (and Hannibal) as kind of an intro, I would be able to make the topic more accessible and reach a wider audience to convince y'all to watch it! I think another title for the movie is The Ravening, in case you're trying to find it to watch or rent it for yourself.

Anyone who's hesitating to watch Aamis, it's nothing like "Raw". It's a unique love Story and kinda sweet (please don't think I am messed up or something like that) and worth a watch. Also great video as usual.
I watched aamis right after finishing this video and I do not regret it. it's so good and it gave me a lot to think about what cannibalism and desire for meat could mean in a story. thank you for recommending this gem. (also the trope of a woman eating chicken straight out of the fridge was used pretty effectively in it)

when this popped up in my recommendation , my first reaction really worried me. I was like "yeah like why is it so interesting?" 👀
It's so interesting the various metaphors and allegories that can be teased out from such a taboo subject. I guess that's why I generally like horror movies.
at the end of the second season of hannibal rn was thrilled by the title 👨❤️💋👨
