I have a 4'-0" mahogany wood cabinet encased aquarium that I want to upgrade my fluorescent lights to Led lights. Can the Aquasky Led unit be screwed to underside of wood lid via retro fit brackets where fluorescent light was?
I'm thinking about getting one of these to replace a T8 light unit. Does the sunrise/sunset programme work if the phone is not in the house? e.g. does the phone need to be within range for the lights to work? Just wondering how this works if away on holiday etc.
I’ve got a Eheim Vivaline LED 240 which is 4ft long. Looks like I got a choice of 30w 99cm-130cm or 33w 115cm-145cm. Would you recommend getting the longer sized one to give maximum light?
great thx for this movie! You save me a lot of strees, cause shoop when I almost made order sell 1.0 version with description from 2.0. And i was curious why there is no single difference between old and new, except price. So thx to You i know that they cheet nad there is no option to make dealls with them.
The older versions are not waterproof, mine filled with condensation five months after purchase and now stopped working. Sent the unit back to fluval for a replacement one, hopefully I will get a Bluetooth version
I have exactly the same problem. I have two 39/51" Aquasky v1 fittings on my Juwel Rio 240 tank; both have suffered water ingress and both are now faulty. At £104 each that's an expensive fail after only 18 months.
Hey dude... Was just wondering, is one led unit powerful enough to light entire tank.. I really hope so, as these units are abit expensive My old unit is bust and I need a new one ASAP.. I just came across these and been trying to find out if one is strong enough as the cheaper models and kinda crap Beautiful tank by the way dude Oh I have a 180 litre tank
I pick up a 48-60 Aqua Sky 2.0 Bluetooth 2 weeks ago. I have had nothing but trouble. the App installed OK but it will not stay connected to the Aqua Sky 2.0 light ( I have a Pixel 3 phone). I have tried everything from plugging and unplugging the light, uninstalling and reinstalling the app. I even signed up with Flu-val at its web site to help work it out. I should say the Flu-val did respond fast one day, but there best answer was not even the answer I had asked. They told me that even if the Bluetooth is not connected it will run the exported program I set up in it. that would be great it I could get the phone and light to talk. I had set it up the very first day and got it to work for about 3 hours. it disconnected showing the Bluetooth sign not connected. and have have hit or miss the next few day, then nothing. The only way to turn the light off/on is to use the plug. I would say ( Poor product and App ) $120 down the tube. will try Current USA led lighting next I have seen some good reviews. To Bad Flu-val has great filters but light sucks and so does the App
I know exactly how you feel, purchase the same light and have tried everything to get it to work. Still waiting for Fluval to help me out it’s been 24 hrs and no response. Money down the drain I agree great pumps bad lights.
@@Mystic222 you can only adjust the settings in it when you're connected via blue tooth. Any settings you set will stay set whether you're close to the light or not
@@Zumone1one Was thinking of getting this light. Could you answer a question for me please, I can't seem to find the answer anywhere. So if I program it in the pro mode, does my phone have to be constantly connected for my settings to work. For example, if I set my light periods and I was away from my house for a holiday, would it still run my settings without me(and my phone) being there??
Hi I have fluval Roma 90 60cm x 35cm x 72cm (L x W x H). I have some soft corals under t8 (30w total) lighting and a couple of Lps. Doing surprisingly well. but looking at new lighting. Do you think 2 of the 16w versions would be enough for my corals? So 32w total. Just worried because fluval themselves say they are fowlr tanks only.
Does the fact the actual light unit is smaller in length effect it? I'm looking to light an 8ft tank. Will the 91-122cm version cover 4ft well enough? Or would I need the longer unit?
I acquired 2 of the older aquasky units with a used tank setup but there is no remote, when plugging them in the RGB LEDs don't light up, only the white LEDs light up, before I bother with buying a new remote could you tell me if this is normal, many thanks
Did you actually work with this app? There are A LOT of bugs. Did you know, if your phone loses power the light defaults to your midnight setting and you have to reconnect to light the light again?
Does it include an external power supply? Or an internal? Or do I have to buy a power supply? Or do I connect directly to a 220 (or 110V) outlet? If there is an external power supply included, does it have interchangeable and included international plugs with auto voltage (like a MacBook, or a wireless router or many other electronics) or do I have to buy one specific for my region (like a phone charger or a toaster)? It's currently being sold in the US and Canada, and in the UK. I haven't seen them in any European shop, so if it has a fixed UK plug, we won't be able to use it without a bulky adapter. Why isn't anyone showing this in their review? There is no info about it in their website either!
I just picked up one of these in the 48-60" version. Got it on sale for $159 CAD, which I think is a pretty damn good price for this light!
Good review ive got this light today and really happy with it
After seeing this I've decided to order one. Thank you.
If you program this on your phone and then take your phone out of Bluetooth range will it still go through the program ? Thanks

Just set it and forget it. Only thing is if it loses power you need to reset it via the app
I’m thinking about this but I’m afraid that a new version will be coming out. It’s my first tank. Any news on that? Thank you!
Haven't heard anything

I'm not sure about dipping it in water because mine got condensation inside to the point where it stopped working.
Hope you sent it back to the supplier

Good review, i like this light myself and find it works well for low light planted tanks
Once the light comes on at sunrise, can the light intensity be changed to mimic cloud or is it constant.
How do you get two lights to work together one of them comes on the other goes off
Would this light a 55 gallon 100cm 50cm 50cm

Can i use my aquasky with t5 lights for a reef tank?

Where can I get one ? Amazon only has the small old version. Cheers .
