Straight forward, but with the perfect amount of detail. I love seeing the settings used at the office and especially appreciate the focus on encouraging people to tinker with their settings. Thanks for the shout out Team Fluval and keep up the great products and videos!
Bentley was the one that convinced me to buy a 3.0 too. His indepth review of the product and it's capabilities as well as the great info on proper basic settings for different scenarios really helped me dial it in too. You're very lucky to have somebody like Bentley take the time to give us such in-depth info!
I had 2 of the Planted 2.0's and after seeing Bentley's series on the 3.0 I purchased one for a tank I was setting up. Glad to see he was recognized on the content of his videos. I am a Fluval fan!
That was exactly what I was looking for - yes I agree that this is a complicated subject to cover in a helpful guide like this, however well said and explained but kept in mind the key points. For myself, I am starting a new freshwater living aquarium and had no idea about any advice on what color of the RGB spectrum to focus on more (would not have guessed red). I gave this a like, comment, and subscribed! Just got my Fluval Aquasky 27 watt kit and ready to set my pro-mode up :)
Good stuff Fluval! Bentley is an honest reviewer of products and a huge asset for anyone looking to learn more about planted aquariums. Also, is that a Thievery Corporation track at the end of your video? Love those dudes!!
I don’t have any real plants in my aquarium but installed the Plant 3.0 Light as a heat source for my Reeve’s Turtle. She seems to be enjoying it and she is finally basking. Installing the Plant Light under my aquarium lid, sparred me from having to make a hole on my aquarium lid, for an exterior Reptile Lamp.
Great app but I wish there was a desktop version. Dragging the little nubs around on a phone screen trying to get exact times or percents is not always easy. Or instead of dragging, also allow you to just input/write in the time or percent.
Hi Graham, we're sorry to hear about this. As we mention in the video, if you're a beginner and you're looking for basic tips, we recommend starting with a preset profile (or any of the ones shown in the video) and then making modifications over time to best suit your tank and maintenance schedule. If you're looking for a more comprehensive guide about the use of our Bluetooth LEDs, we have several other videos about that topic.
I am also an absolute beginner. Watched several videos and am no wiser now. I can slide all I want but how do I START the auto mode selection? I can set the times and in auto mode but no matter what the lights don't change. I have now wasted several hours!!! not happy after spending my hard earned $s! By the way.... I can't believe I bought a unit that doesn't even have an on / off switch! I have to unplug it if I don't have my phone? WTFH?

What would happen if i tuned down? Would it not be in the right spectrum for a reef tank? I always hear to tune the red way down! Sure wish I had not of bought these lights! Makes no sense!
I think me and others missing info on how to set and use the various color possibilities - why do the guy in the video refered to say 5 % for blue.. what is the reason for blue so low and so on. Which colours is affecting which besides colours we all can see
Hi Rich, algae can still easily grow with just the white LEDs on! We recommend instead dimming the LED so there isn't more light in the tank than there needs to be for viewing purposes. Also, be sure to not leave the lights on for too long!
I would like to know that as well! Never seen an led with pink and his sample shows it at 100 pecent! I sure hope he answers me since he didint answer you! Makes no sense and now wishing I had not of bought these and past the return date!

I have a 6ft scaped tank and am thinking of running 3x 3.0 led nano plants on it. Could i run these in series? Or are they all individually hard wired?
Hi Laura, each of the LEDs is individually wired, but you can create a profile for one LED and export it to the others so the three lights all run simultaneously, with the same settings! 👍
What are the settings to turn off the lights on SAT and SUN and on for M-F. Mine don't seen to have it nor does its clock survive a power loss which is crazy.

Hello, thank you for your comment! the only thing people in reef2reef moan about is the par at the sandbed. I'm with a 60x24x24 and working out at 19 inches is at the bare minimum par for lps. I'm hoping fluval make a strong led bar for those who have rimmed and hooded tank's.
Is it possible to change the times that this light turn on and off, and if so how do I do that? I currently work nightshift and work 12hours then total drive time is 2 hours. So I turn my aquarium lights on right before leaving for work and they end up staying on for about 14hours. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can have this light or any light turn on later in the night while I'm at work and turn off not long after I get home? Whenever I'm not working, I like having my aquarium lights to be on when I'm up so I can enjoy my fish tank instead of my fish being on the opposite sleeping schedule than I am on. I would prefer for my fish tank to be running on the opposite schedule to my current time zone.
The FluvalSmart app (which controls all of our Bluetooth LEDs) allows you to set exactly when you want the lights to turn on and turn off! You have full customization and control available at your fingertips. 👍
Hey Rebekah So I just wanted to know if you or your fingertips were able to program the light to your preferred times ? I hope you get the best of both worlds and the fish and if you have plants in your aquarium or anything else will be happy to get a set schedule with the most important a healthy and dark schedule and the peace and quiet 🤫
Any chance you guys can update the app for the Aquasky 2.0 so that manual mode can have sliders for each of the 4 colors and allow for 1% increment changes for each??? That would bring it close to the other 3.0 offerings control wise and you already have the code for that kinda control because it’s how you control the 3.0s in manual mode. The weather controls could still stay because those are pretty cool but just in the color section of the screen it could be 4 sliders instead of the up and down buttons for each color with 20% increments. Those just make the manual mode feel a little clunky when it could be very easily refined to be so much more dynamic and adaptable. Please please make this already great light even more amazing for all of us loyal customers.
