Fr on the "if men had periods" bit. There definitely wouldn't be a luxury tax nor would birth control be as crappy as it is. I've read that when they did trial runs of men's birth control, it was considered "inhumane" to release it to the public because of the side effects like nausea, mood swings, decrease in sex drive and all the other side effects that women already commonly deal with! Yet that's written off as inconsequential when we bring it up, lol

Andrei Radu Infertility, cervical cancer, chronic depression, birth defects in babies and causing the endocrine system to burn out are side effects of the female birth control pill. It is recommended once you start you should never stop even after menopause because it has been shown that the hormones don’t recover so it then acts as hormone replacement therapy. There are no studies that prove that it is safe to use it and then stop.
Emily Rose I mean as a trade off for all that, we get fucked in court when it comes to divorces, child custody and support. You get to deny paternity tests from us in some countries. Whenever we voice our opinions about women in the workplace we get fired immediately etc.
The court system is highly skewed towards women, men die at work far more often than women and have a much higher chance of being physically assaulted... yet thats written off as inconsiquential when bring it up... lol

And if it wouldn’t be an issue anymore than tampons wouldn’t be taxed as luxury items. So yes it is woke. It doesn’t have to be rare for that. And also people in power are still not changing it, so it should be talked about.

Raika Parzella I agree, being woke means being aware of something that not a lot of people are aware of, a lot of people are aware of sexism, the people who ARE sexist are aware of it, they’ve just decided to be that way. I would say he’s definitely correct in what he’s saying, though knowing sexism exists isn’t some form of mind blowing enlightenment. I’m guessing they used the term loosely/ jokingly.
