@@SmoothTerumi Or you could watch the other RAW episodes and see that other comedians with the same types of jokes get better reception than this guy. Stop being so damn generalizing.
Yes, they're in Sweden so there's probably a mild language barrier and definite culture difference. I assumed that's why the crowd were a bunch of stiffs. They seemed to only laugh at jokes they fully understood.
Oh my god,how come I never heard about him till randomly seeing his special on netflix?? But thank God Kardashians are all over media and a guy with pure actual talent is not. This guy is amazing.
Was there a language barrier, or a cultural barrier there? This obviously wasn't the right venue for this comic. He's actually quite good, despite the rather quiet audience.
@@EngForArabs Actually RAW usually have Comedians that are either the same or worse than this guy. And they get good receptions. I think it might be his delivery tactic and maybe the acoustics in the room.
A considerable amount of hate towards the audience in this comment section.. This is Scandinavia for you.. We're not that loud really. Doesn't mean we're not enjoying ourselves. DOn't have to be laughing yourself hoarse just to appreciate a comedian.
Haha yes. My moms from Finland and we visit a lot and we went to a theme park once with lots of roller coasters and my dad got on a really big one and it went upside down and everything and he was literally the only person screaming. Like they were all just sitting there 😂😂
Every time it pans to the crowd you can see they're enjoying it, ,just because they're more quiet and polite than us Brits doesn't mean they hate him 😭
Celine Palacio Sept. 11th 2001 is a date most memorable in the United States. Some Al Qaeda terrorists hijacked passenger planes that ran into both of the World Trade Center's twin towers in New York and the Pentagon. Another plane was hijacked that was meant to be flown into either the White House or Capitol building (I'd have to look it up again), but ultimately failed and ended up crashing somewhere in Pennsylvania I think.
Crowd was quite silent, but then again, most of my references are either Dutch crowds (who are about as quiet) UK crowds (kinda louder) and American crowds (airhorn-to-the-eardrum.)
Just because they're not laughing loudly doesn't mean that they didn't find it funny. It's a thing in Sweden, and I know plenty of people have commented this already, but we do tend to keep our emotions to ourselves a lot more than america for example. We have a general fear of standing out and being viewed as odd. We have a thing that's like a "fake law" that basically goes like "you shall not think you are better than me" sort of... it shows in everything we do
That whole "swedes/scandinavians stay more quiet" thing people in the comments are going on about is true to some extent. But everyone is different and if there had been another crowd it could have been extremely different. I think the main problem here is that while Sweden is a bilingual country the level of knowledge about English varies a lot. My generation and younger know English quite well, but the people in the audience seem to be around mostly 40-50 and while English was taught in school during their school years as well, it wasn't in the same extent that it is now. Therefore the reason the crowd is rather quiet is more likely to be because of a language barrier than because swedes are "more quiet"
it propably from americans who think a crowd is shit if it's not hooting and screaming and dying of laughter at every word, maybe the canned laughter conditioned them to do so
Then what kind of comedian would do well in Sweden? He probably would've killed in the Netherlands, we like our comedians as politically incorrect and offensive as they may come. We have a lot of comedians like that, guys like Louis CK would also do really well here :p
This is actually incorrect. I think what happened here was the language barrier. Swedish people are awkward in general, throw in some english there and the awkard lever rises.
Man that chivalry wasn't dead joke could've had a much better punchline like say, Gran: Chivalry is dead! Dan: No, people who want to get into your pants are!
As a fellow swedish person i can tell you all that not all swedish people are like this, just the people from stockholm. I'm born and raised in Stockholm myself and this is the reason i rarely ever go into Stockholm city, the majority of the people are awful there and they get offended by almost everything. This is the reason why swedish comedians are just terrible to watch, they can't joke about anything that might be seen as offensive, so they do bits with childish humour that might be entertaining for children to watch. I get embaressed watching swedish comedians trying way to hard to please crowds with awful comedy, Sloss deserved way more appreciation for his genius bits and awesome punchlines.
For those complaining about the crowd...he is performing in Sweden one of the most feminist and political correct countries in the world. What the fuck did you expect.
I think he got nervous because people weren’t laughing and then it was hard to deliver his lines well. That’s not nice of that crowd to just sit there.
I think it's a bit of a cultural difference for you. They were quite obviously enjoying themselves in all of the camera shots. They just didn't laugh out loud as much as opposed to smiling and giggling. I think it looked better from his perspective, but via UA-cam, if you don't hear them, "they're not laughing" apparently
Watch his HBO special. All new material. I'm sure when he was younger it was easier to have like 10 solid jokes that he could recycle with new jokes mixed in
thank you Mr. Sloss for reminding me that women helped kill chivalry because men don't pay women compliments anymore because now we're creepers for doing that. 😁
he was nervous spoke too fast for being in a foreign place, the people were trying to engage but they couldnt pick up everything...lol so Daniel is basically just a typical adolescent boy
This guy doesn't like noisy sex? He hasn't had good sex then. If It's really good, the noise is involuntary. If it's extremely good, you'll surprise yourself with the noises you make.
Language barrier+easily offended= us swedes. I find this bit funny still(I've seen this routine 3times now) but I don't suffer from the two above listed mental disorders.. because I learn shit!
he can reuse that opening joke u till hes 36
Hahahaha i was calculating this too
he did
This is at a swedish comedy club though and our age of concent is 15.
Still some what fround apon though tbh.
It’s still creepy being 36 going out with an 18yo
I've heard that opening joke probably five times by now and I still love that "tends to be frowned upon reeeaalllyyy"
hahah samee
How is this "Raw" when the audience is all over 50? Dude is hysterical.
Probably the only ones who could afford it...=)
You couldn't handle the sort of raw being over 50 brings, you ignorant twat.
Fuuuck.. imagine this crowd if he did the whole Josie dying joke
Brilliant 👍😂
What a horrible crowd.
Well it is Sweden...
they were pretty quiet but they seemed to be enjoying themselves

thats sweden, Dark weather, dark humor but cant show it
Nordic audiences are quiet even when they are enjoying themselves. They don't want to interrupt the person preforming apparently.
Being from Norway, a part of Scandinavia I can tell you they had a good time. As commented earlier we stay pretty quiet even though we enjoy the show
Robert Cartier No, we Swedish people think it's funny we have just been thought from a very young age to puch all signs of emotions deep down.
I didn't find him that funny :/
“Making sure that no woman in the audience ever wants to sleep with me” dat foreshadowing…..
"Statistically"
"Don't worry they'll never find her"
Aditi T I do not understand how that didn’t get laughs 😂😂😂😂
no one laughed at it for some reason
Tough crowd
Swedes.

@Alex he also talked quite fast and with a broad dialect. If you struggle with english, you might not understand him as well.

Same with Steve Hofstetter, he's another comedian you might like =)

Bra med sådana här långa klipp!

This guy sounds like a teen Dan Howell 😂
Yeah he does
I'm never gonna be able to listen to him again without thinking that😂😂
More like Bill Hicks to me. He even got his mannerisms, but with a more high-pitched, "girly" voice.
I love this guy
I'm telling you Daniel Sloss in all honesty should do a legit Sitcom this guy is legit funny
He's great, the audience sound different from UK and US but that doesn't mean they didn't enjoy themselves!
Svennar vi har en ny legend komiker
Ive never seen a pair of tights look so relieved xxx
I would imagine he's an awful friend, but great comedian!

In Poland you're b-day would be cool. September 11th is actually our Independence Day. This year it will be 100th anniversary of it
Poland, the only country in Europe with a backbone.
Its November 11th XD
Weronika Ahahahahahahaahaha
In catalonia it's national day so it would be cool too :)
Noa Lavigne key Word *independence*
Takes guts to do standup in Sweden. They like to enjoy it internally in the words of the late, great Frankie Howerd!
I've seen him perform 3 times here in Sweden and trust me. We definitely enjoyed it externally too

He's just, so fucking funny and attractive. I love it!
