"Disable the alarm" is a fool's errand on most cars.
Is the installation process the same for every race chip?
No, every engine is different. Each video here will have the models it covers. The product itself will come with vehicle specific instructions as well.
Vibrating and hot parts pretty much describes the whole engine bat.
I know what your are getting at, but can you please be more specific about how much heat and vibrations that will make the RaceChip fail please...?
You don't want to put the chip close to the turbo or exhaust and keep it away from the fan and pulleys.
Do you need to adjust the race chip level after installation or you just take it out for a spin.
Hi racechip, if i connect C cable to engines that doesnt require should that be okay or should i just leave it unplugged?

Lol I looked at the booklet and there was 2 diagrams for cars. I knew I had the harder option and won't be able to do it myself. I dont have a car jack
I just got a 08 gti with one of these installed. It has P0238 P0089 P008a P0106 P0234 codes. On it is everyone getting these codes or just this car?

I think it does because it says MK7 1.8t or 2.0t. I am still debating on whether to do this, certainly a lot cheaper then the ECU and TCU tunes I’ve found
@@coreyh9679 Yes its the same. Have a 2017 1.8t sportwagen with 4 motion an the install was very similar.

I like it , it's interesting video. I do a lot of VW Tiguan maintenance videos and have 1.4 million views and 8000 subscribers. Yesterday I received my RaceChip RS for my almost 1 year old Seat Tarraco 2.0 TSI 190hp 4x4. After installing for the 3rd time with an VAG engineer the box gives errors after starting the engine...Everything was looking good, ignition check no errors, starting the engine a lot of errors came on the boardcomputer displays: - Start/stop functions disabled, engine limited till 4000rpm, motorengine light turned on, turbo was not working. Looks like after installing the box that the car program goes on emergency state of the engine. Still waiting for a solution with the customer service on this, probably bad programming of the software parameters or a faulty box???...to be continued
This can happen if the process described in the beginning of the video is not followed precisely. Also connecting the plugs in a wrong orientation (turned by 180 degree) can create error codes, but this is usually not possible. Of course, also a wrong software on the RaceChip can cause such an issue. Please let our customer support team solve this for you. support@racechip.com
@@RaceChipInstallationVideos problem has been zilver. On cable-C thee was 1 cake loose in the connector. We've fixed that and it's working perfect now!

Yeah but it depends on your engine type if you have the manual 1,4 l engine with the 150ps you can watch any of the seat, vw or audi viedos with the same engine type...
The enginecode of the 1,4l jetta,golf is CZDA etc and engine name is EA211, Since i have the mk7 golf sportwagen tsi with the 1,4l Turbocharged version it is the same installation method as similar mqb viachles... but if you live in North America you might have a different enginecode name but the same engine installment method for the racechip as mine.
Just look up your cars manual and check specifics if unsure.
Installing the racechip aint hard no matter the car really.
What I received for Audi S3 has only A and B. It doesn't have connector C linked to the cam shaft. Is that a wrong wire harness?
But the GTS black screen does light up after I start the car. No error codes show.
@@rexzouyang As you can see at the 50 second mark in the video, the C connection is NOT included for every application.
How do you reach the turbo sensor without the a jack

I noticed you applied 2 different ways to install the point A in another video, without jack up the car to remove the turbo boost sensor. The Passat 2.0 vs Golf Gti Please advice. Thanks
It is just an issue of access. The GTI is easier to get to with it on jacks but we have found that it's not required on the Passat.
Do I need to jack up for Jetta GLI？
It is possible to reach down from above but it is much easier to access from below.
I just ordered a GTS for my 2013 CC, I don't believe I will need to jack it up. Would you happen to know if I would for this vehicle?
The CC is a little easier to access, and you should be able to reach your hand down from above to locate the sensor.
