Did the chip stay reliable and cause any problems?
@@nathanjohnshepherd9864 not one problem and be warned it's really aggressive when on race mode lol by the time you hit 3rd it's hold on for dear life ;) fitted mine myself and it tweaked for about a week needing reset with the app to level 0 and then cranking it up in each mode 1 stage at a time till the system learns the parameters then it's all good to go for the rest of the duration and would highly recommend my friend.
Love the chip but the Bluetooth on the chip itself sucks for me it constantly needs to be re-sync to my phone to connect and disconnects after 2 weeks
I can't wait to do this with my '24 GTI.

I installed mine. Everything was working until Weeks later,
sometimes when I accelerate, it makes weird knocking, ticking, weird sound, hesitation, car shakes and losing power.
Any ideas? Fake scam? Or something needs to fix?
P.S: I uninstalled Racechip and everything went normal again.
you chip is set to a standard map which is on level 5 .I believe they recommend to change it manually up or down using buttons on the chip + - itself if you have experienced any knocking shaking etc.
Would you do the same review with UK made TDI-tuning box ? I’ve heard good things about it too.

our MB GLS 550 engine light keeps coming on did everything in the instructions and the app on the phone and still the engine light is on getting ready to return the unit it does not work can you help us

Not running an AFR on the dyno makes no sense. Why not run that as well? See if it’s leaning out dangerously.
Doesn't the ecu have to 'learn' the race chip first before giving accurate results?
At that age Get more driving experience before fitting more power, the stock 'R' should be enough, insurance premium as it is??

I still find it strange that you need to have so many settings..... have you heard about good drivers with manual shifts and 0-100 in 2 seconds? That's a chip I'd get....

I installed one about a week ago no problems so far. You need to change plugs and probably get oil catch can and better intake also

Once the app connects, it should give you the homescreen on your phone with the adjustable settings.

Just curious why you wouldn’t go for a full stage 1 from say APR. Would the APR stage 1 make the same figures?
Probably for warrenty reasons
@@Sdwiked but this would definitely void warranty as well. It would still show a TD1 and boost timings, injector sequences would be off.
Even once removed? I be honest i don't have a clue i was only assuming as it was removable that would be the reason
This is a plug and play option, For when customers don't want to go for a full ECU tune. Yes this is removable and we haven't had any complaints of a TD1 so far.

Can I have a question. You said at the start "...then we'll take the car to the dyno and we'll do some stock runs and then some comparisons with the 7 different setting on this module..." - you said seven and the product brochure says "7 fine tuning mappings" also. OK, but then you measured stock + eco, sport and race, that is only 3 power modes. What is 7 ? I dont understand that sry.
There are also options in each settings.
Can it be fitted without a car lift?
This can depend from car to car.

Dark side tested the race chip and a few other tuning boxes and they were all producing less than they stated.
These cars are known to come with more power than factory claimed. So I wonder if that had an influence or not.
One side shows good results on the dyno and another company shows negative information about tuning boxes and they tested them on the dyno as well
We've got real world testing coming up soon at a drag strip. No alterations just simply switching the racechip on and off and running 1/4 mile and 0-60 runs. We'll find out the difference soon!

Darkside were testing the Diesel tuning box, which they concluded only altered the fuel pressure. This is a petrol car and the box has three connections so it can control far more.

@@hamza3p342 no, I just fitted my Racechip S to my 2015 VW Passat TDI 6MT and it had 3 connections as well. Boost sensor, fuel rail pressure sensor, and cam timing sensor.

so do i change the settings on the app only or do i have to change it on the app and also my driving mode? For example - driving mode sport and app sport?
if so what if i stay in eco in my car and change the app to sport?
The most aggressive setting will be sport mode on car and app, the cars modes do not change via the racechip only the racechip sensitivity and output
Reality is soon as you drive off the check engine light comes on you panick and disconnect it but your check engine light still won't go off you take it to the dealership and find out your ecm is damaged and they won't warranty it so you call race chip in Germany and find out it's really made in China and there's no refund you're ass out😅😅😅😅😅😅
Your a halfbreed these actually come with a 5k engine warranty. And these are dyno tested broke clown
