This one is very similar to my A3 1.8 8V but without the camshaft sensor. Definitely faster. With Race Chip GTS highest setting my car ran a 15 second at 93.6 mph 1/4 mile from 15.7 at 89.2 mph stock and 6.7 0-60 from 7.3 stock. Stock specs from Motor Trend. It does have a turbo inlet and exhaust modification.
anyone else had issues with the DSG not shifting properly at WOT with the GTS black? I can't find any info about it on the racechip site but it's made me put my car back to stock because the shifts are so bad.
I drive a Mk8 GTi with a racechip installed. Fantastic! But can anybody tell me why the pop’s and bangs when letting of the throttle sometimes isn’t there ? 😅😅😅
Is your car at operating temps when you try to get it to make pops and bangs? I believe the pops and bangs won't happen until the oil temps, trans temps, and coolant temps are around 180 degrees Fahrenheit. I have a mk8 as well. How are you liking the racechip? Did you get the gts black? How was the install?
@@joshuawhite3765 my initial thoughts at first but this morning it did pop right after start A got the gts and it is a big difference. Only positive feedback. I don’t do any work on my car. Professionals only 😅
@@A_Guy123 I’ve added the racingline air kit and with 98 octane it flies. A little bit of turbo lag but still. But a good tune would have been something tho 😊
@@smulansimrishamn if you could go back would you still buy it or just wait the little extra bit for a tune seeing as tunes are coming out across Europe (assuming you’re in the states)
The Boost pressure sensor at the bottom of the car .. was it a 3 pin or 4 pin ???? This is very confusing to me ... if its a 3 pin how can i get this harness.. I ordered a racechip and got a 4 pin for A connection when my car has a 3 pin at the A location
