If you want an Xbox 360 model that provides maximum reliability and the lowest chance of getting the RROD, avoid all early models from 2005 to 2007 at all costs since those have the worst red ring of death rates. If you're searching for an original model, hunt down the late Jasper v2 aka "Tonasket" or "Jasper Kronos" models manufactured from 2009-2010. For the slimmer models, hunt down the Trinity models (S models manufactured from 2010 to mid 2011).
@@pokiblue5870 fixing the red ring of death is doable but often times, it's temporary. especially on the earliest models from 2005 to 2007 due to their flawed design.
@@PackBrewBadgeWI4 thanks I am currently looking on marketplace for an xbox 360. I will make sure to avoid early models. I’ve seen many asking for 30-40$ for early model
@@pokiblue5870 here's my rankings for each iteration of the Xbox 360 from most reliable to least reliable based on experience maintaining/repairing them and how often I see them break down from the red ring of death and other hardware related issues: 1. I still have my WiFi-less 360! And it still plays games! Although I had to buy the WiFi adapter to update the console in order to play some backward compatible OG XBOX games
I pick up every black Jasper Elite with a good appearance that i find in the wild. I love the og style, and it looks perfect standing beside my seriesX
I bought a 250 GB Xbox 360 S last month. I was never planning on buying one until one day when I randomly thought to myself that I really should purchase games from the Xbox store before it shuts down next year. I'm very glad I did. Bought a lot of games that are still not playable on the new Xbox consoles, and there are plenty more that I'm going to purchase soon.
yeah I mentioned it in the video - I'll be making sure it's the main focus in the next one. Shame because there's a lot of cool games that will be locked to the store.
Jasper models and the Kronos are probably the best ones to get still and are probably the most reliable. S and E are fine as well but the 4GB storage models seem to failing now so I’d avoid those
Been playing Skyrim occasionally for years and didn't know I could yell to use shouts.. Slightly better than my rage of throwing the controller. In all honesty I picked up my Kinect for the Star Wars game. Those creepy parody songs got me on my feet.
My first one was an arcade that I eventually sold to a buddy, now I have a slim and an elite. Still one of my favorite systems ever. Funny enough the ones I see at thrift stores the most are the originals with no hdmi port. Thats a hard no from me every time
Yeah I use a script/teleprompter for all my videos. I changed the location of my camera so I'm a bit closer to it so the eye movement is a bit more obvious. Makes it infinity easier to edit

This system broke my heart. Got the red rings of death. Was still under warranty so i sent it to get fixed. Microsoft sent it back and said it wasnt under warranty anymore! Pretty sure it was id only had it a year! 😢😢

Very nice!
IIRC the XBLA Marketplace for the 360 will be shutting down in April, so if you want to download digital titles and DLC, you don't have much time.

360 is a great system to collect for. Super affordable, especially in Europe because nobody cares about Xbox over here.
yeah I think might snag a couple more games for the 360 while the getting is good.
Hi. I’m from the future.
Everyone’s dead and Xbox 360s and games will never be this cheap again.

Great info, but the Arcade models were called the “Core” models before the rename in 2007.

Yeah I wouldn't chance it either. I found a slim for $50 and it works like a charm!
Are you reading a script? I see eye movement 😂
One of my favourite consoles, it would be nice to hook up an older model up to a CRT.

Where should i buy a xbox 360 from
I still have my Halo 4 limited edition 360 console w/controllers.
PS3, also no SSD upgrade?

Toshiba’s HDDVD had a tough road against the PS3’s built-in Blu-ray
yeah having a built in blu-ray was an advantage even if it took a bit for the price to come down.
