  • Kyphosis is the exaggerated forward rounding of the back and forward head posture. As shown at the beginning of the video, poor posture such as slouching, carrying heavy backpacks can lead up to this condition.
There are other more serious medical conditions that can cause Kyphosis as osteoporosis, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy and is more common in older women.
For those who are working desk jobs, it’s important to be conscious of your posture and making sure you have a ergonomic work station. You might even catch your chin tucked toward your chest and your upper back slouched while reading this post!

Truly uplifting intro! 🤩 Loved the joy and determination encapsulated in that effortless "let's fix this!"
Consistency and believing in transformation are utterly important in improving postural kyphosis, therefore a glimpse of optimism works wonders for building motivation. I think this is a wonderful invitation to a workout which can be for some the beginning of their journey towards better posture.
What better way to celebrate the end of a good workout than by (finally) taking a satisfying breath- a treasure which is unfortunately denied to some of us due to chest tightness.
Thank you for your videos and wish you all the best! ❤❤❤

Look up Connor Harris and his posture videos. This video does nothing to address breathing/the ribcage/hip positioning, which is the main culprit. Tight pecs and weak back muscles is the result of improper breathing etc. These exercises are nothing more than a bandaid that doesn’t fix the root cause.

I always worry about a foam roller on the back. Maybe mentio that it should be placed high enough that there are ribs underneath? For those who don't have large muscle development.

Yah unfortunately that’s not it. I did TKD for 6 years I understand the differences from soreness and the chronic pain I feel now. I have scoliosis, lordosis and kyphosis. Except unlike most people my kyphosis and lordosis are not fixable there chronic. So I experience back pain ever day almost all day. Especially when I try to stand up completely straight. Which is actually impossible for me to completely straighten my back. And I’m only 17 years old. And the only way to fix it is surgery. Which back surgery is super risky. And I’ve seen way to many people have worse problems after surgery so that’s a no for me.

Quick clarification: Kyphosis isn’t a problem. People are meant to have a natural curve in their upper back/neck. Hyper-kyphosis is what starts causing issues.
Don’t think your posture is bad just because you aren’t a straight line.

      Kyphosis is a problem actually
I have mid kyhosis and it causes serios problems for an 15 yr
For people that want to workout kyphosis is a server problem because you can't do push ups cause it applies a big heavy weight on the back and this back problem leads to breathing issues, problems with nerves that can actually lead to paralysis on the entire body. + It gives an very bad impression on you and your reputation
I have kyphosis and that's all I occur daily

I Gotts the Ankylosing Spondylitis, but without the hla-b27 gene. I’m 47yo male >5’6” 175lbs I was 5’8” before. My hyper kyphosis has me bent forward to where I can’t even see where I’m walking. And have zero head movement. Have had total hip but can’t sit 90°. I don’t even think I can get on the floor and if I did It would bring on lots of nerve pain. For those with condition like mine I really don’t think there is anything out there that can give any useful improvement. I see many videos claiming this, but there is never any follow up showing them standing any straighter or any improved range. But strangely I remain optimistic, and have hope, like there is something out there that will help but just haven’t found yet. Like a miracle calcium dissolver pill or bizarre concoction discovered. something to break these chains that bind me haha 🤷🏻‍♂️ 🙏

grab the person you want to fix by the shoulders standing behind him. extend your arms and deliver a straight kick to the middle of the back. that will fix it
