The position of the pelvis should be considered as you said, in a kyphosis there's less room for the rib cage to expand and the diaphragm to contract but normally during breathing without exertion it's mostly gentle quiet diaphragmatic breathing. Accessory respiratory muscles are usually only recruited in people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or severe kyphosis or other conditions with chest wall weakness. The lower ribs are genuinely pulled 'down' in people with emphysema.

Once you are past the panic attack phase start figuring out / working out why you get them / are stressed. Usually has to do with work / friends/ personal situation. Long term need to do something to the source of the fear/stress/anxiety.
Good general mobility program but the big dogs have proven that the only way to decrease a thoracic kyphosis is with fulcrum traction under load, over time. The change in kyphosis is the shrinking or tightening of the anterior longitudinal ligament primarily and the only thing that has been proven to change the length of a ligament is loaded traction ... as per the CBP protocols (Deed Harrison). Good luck with it ..... its all in Spine, European Spine Journal and Journal of Manipulation and Physiological Therapeutics. Enjoy.
Is it normal to feel muscular pain and fatigue for a few days after doing the exercises? I feel a positive result, and the practice is amazing!! But I was wondering.. should I pause the practice because of these symptoms?
Hello. I have sway-back posture that is leading to hyperkyphosis - hunchback. You are mentioning the sway back at the start of the video I just dont understand if I should follow these exersises in my case or they work no matter the pelvic tilt sway back or anterior tilt. I have also the all of the other common syptoms as these kind of postures follows - forward neck, rounded soulders. Can you provide me with a suggestion as a kinda order of what I should address as a cue.
You explain things ngs amazingly but I'm a visual learner and can't tell a thing with the first exercise. Wish you'd used someone in leggings and a sports bra versus tshirt and sweats
I love it, but I dont understsnd why this happens to me. when I do the shoulder rotation exercice, I get the full range of movement but I get a click going down and a click going up. How do I fix that? Thank you very much for your generosity.
Ok, these exercises are great, but how can one do the particular motions mentioned here with a stiff knee replacement, with a shoulder injury on one shoulder and a torn biceps tendon on the other? Asking for a friend 😅
Technically, you are very nearly correct. However, the propensity for one to reference their skull as oneself, and use as a midline reference the skull itself versus as you say, “the midline of the body.” So, at least two reference points: 1) I strive to keep my head “upright” versus, independent of my body, 2) I strive to keep my head upright and over my body. Ones body can be fairly straight or crooked but the head can also, the two are not necessarily aware. We all know people with slouched or injured posture who under or over compensate, deteriorate, and improve. Some cultures do not approve of the very open chested, uprighted head, straight ahead or uplifted gaze. So, “posture” itself has many cultural meanings and interpretations Personally, the movements of trained ballet dancers show what is a very open breathing mechanism.
You won't read this but this is first time I've seen any reasonable mechanical explanation that didn't involve "you have weak x muscles you just need to exercise your back" so called experts are completely unable to think about this issue because they don't realistically care about it. Question: what are your thoughts on the trigger/ catalyst for this being a structural weakness in one or more of the vertebrae in childhood, causing the body to compensate in the different ways? I have noticed a point in my spine that appears to be able to bend more than the rest of the spine. And body attempts to use muscles elsewhere to stay upright, over time it fails to stay upright impacting other areas
@Conor Harris your content is amazing!. I'm about to start shoulder no BS program. I have an issue with my elbow snapping and crunching when I rotate my forearm. It is definitely tied to a shoulder issue and spine as I have a limited external rotation and a lot of click when I do scap circles from protraction to retraction. Also my neck and trap muscles on those sides seem really tight. Any suggestions, do you think the shoulder program will address this? I'm also will be doing your anterior pelvic tilt program. Thanks!

05:40 iswhat happend to me. trouble breathing, obstructed throat. Nightmares, super tight pecs, panic attacks, emergancy room visit. Went to hospital 2 times and 3 times to doctor. None of them thought about having a look at my posture. And attributed it simply to tired muscle.
Exact same issues. They said its just panic attacks, gave me pills and said goodbye. They probably think the issue is in my head.
Did this or anything help you solve the issue? I just found this video. If anything helped please let me know im suffering like never before.
@@dakk3 ended up being actually panic attacks /stress
@@BuildItAnyway And what did you do to solve it? :o Im laying down a lot, im relaxing, im walking a lot, sometimes even running + im taking some pills that are against panic attacks and the problem seems to get worse rather than better. I can't even properly sleep on my sides anymore because of shoulder pain
@@dakk3 Short term read this: Badass Ways to End Anxiety & Stop Panic Attacks! long term, actively stop the habit of your brain taking you down negative paths -> Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones
basically first book comes down to stop fighting it, and just say let the worst happen, you are afraid of the panic attack basically. brain becomes super sensitive for this after a few times. basically a very bad habit once you become "afraid" of it. Once you are past the panic attack phase start figuring out / working out why you get them / are stressed. Usually has to do with work / friends/ personal situation. Long term need to do something to the source of the fear/stress/anxiety.
why is this guy not doing the open mouth breathing out as you are explaining, this is a real thing and I do suffer from this
wow lat stretch is amazing!
Why do these exercises seem so hard to follow?
How long and how often do you do them?
Are they comprehensive?
Planning on doing this along with upper cross syndrome exercises, how often should this be practices along with that?
Good general mobility program but the big dogs have proven that the only way to decrease a thoracic kyphosis is with fulcrum traction under load, over time. The change in kyphosis is the shrinking or tightening of the anterior longitudinal ligament primarily and the only thing that has been proven to change the length of a ligament is loaded traction ... as per the CBP protocols (Deed Harrison). Good luck with it ..... its all in Spine, European Spine Journal and Journal of Manipulation and Physiological Therapeutics. Enjoy.
Thank you so much
Wow, you are wild! 😙 thank you ❤
Thank you
Is it normal to feel muscular pain and fatigue for a few days after doing the exercises? I feel a positive result, and the practice is amazing!! But I was wondering.. should I pause the practice because of these symptoms?
Hello. I have sway-back posture that is leading to hyperkyphosis - hunchback. You are mentioning the sway back at the start of the video I just dont understand if I should follow these exersises in my case or they work no matter the pelvic tilt sway back or anterior tilt. I have also the all of the other common syptoms as these kind of postures follows - forward neck, rounded soulders. Can you provide me with a suggestion as a kinda order of what I should address as a cue.
Did u figure it out? I’m struggling myself
how many times should one be doing the first excercise? like for how many minutes or for how many breaths?
Great content
You explain things ngs amazingly but I'm a visual learner and can't tell a thing with the first exercise. Wish you'd used someone in leggings and a sports bra versus tshirt and sweats
Explanation good
Display and camera work severely lacking.
Yes genius again very pro as always gg
Smart stuff, keep talking
I love it, but I dont understsnd why this happens to me. when I do the shoulder rotation exercice, I get the full range of movement but I get a click going down and a click going up. How do I fix that? Thank you very much for your generosity.
I used to have anterior pelvic tilt, then I trained my glute Marius and Maximus and now it seems like I have kyphosis
Ok, these exercises are great, but how can one do the particular motions mentioned here with a stiff knee replacement, with a shoulder injury on one shoulder and a torn biceps tendon on the other? Asking for a friend 😅
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 interview
Where are you based? I’m trying to help my son with his kyphotic posture and feel he’s do better with physical coaching
Great video,such a common issue ! Ty
Thanks for watching!
Thanks
Technically, you are very nearly correct.
However, the propensity for one to reference their skull as oneself, and use as a midline reference the skull itself versus as you say, “the midline of the body.”
So, at least two reference points:
1) I strive to keep my head “upright” versus, independent of my body,
2) I strive to keep my head upright and over my body.
So, “posture” itself has many cultural meanings and interpretations
Personally, the movements of trained ballet dancers show what is a very open breathing mechanism.
Hi! Would you advice some specific exercices for scoliosis please? Thank you! :)
Thanks!
I am wondering how many reps of these breathing exercises should I do per Day. I mean minimum?
