I am a 68 year old retired hospital doctor who ran diabetic clinics for years. I find this an excellent educational presentation.
Thanks for your confirmation❤😊
Thank you for your valuable input. ❤
ABSOLUTELY! And why others seem to be unable to do it likewise???
This UA-cam is titled Things Your Doctor Will Not Tell You. Hopefully this is UA-cam generated click bait, since this is all basic knowledge to physicians. While true that not all docs are equal in terms of efforts in education, I fear that this presenter describes self as a biochemist, and while providing helpful education, gives no history of clinical experience, yet is rendering clinical advice, a little over her skis.
If all MDs are familiar with this, why did my primary physician never mention this to me. Why has she stopped fasting glucose tests when it used to be a standard test. Why has my physician asked me why I wanted a fasting glucose test. Why did I have to learn about this from a biochemist instead of my MD as a matter of course? I don’t know the answer, but it seems to me that more civilians are obtaining more effective health information from biochemists than our own physicians. . . a thing to ponder on a rainy day.
I’m a Registered Nurse and mother of 3 boys. I’m so very thankful to have you & your knowledge in my life!!! Your teachings have been life changing for me! I love your teaching style, very easy to follow and retain the info because you have a great way of explaining processes in a simplistic way so that we all can understand it! Thanks for all that you do for us❤
Besides sharing such a high value knowledge, your great speech fluency and clarity are much appreciated for non-native listeners 🙂
Where have you been all my life. I was almost pre-diabetic. I want to say it is never to late to eat properly. I am 75 and this morning I tested at 104. So I had cauliflower, then my eggs and then my sourdough bread with low sugar jam. I tested my blood sugar at 2 hours and it was 94. A 10 point drop from fasting. That is amazing. 3 hour test was 89.
Update: Blood sugar 84 this morning.
At 69 years old, I’ve been on a Keto and fasting regimen for the past three years, maintaining a 30+ lb weight loss and vast improvement in health. I have a well visit with my PCP tomorrow and was trying to prepare, thinking about what tests I should have. Then YOUR VIDEO pops up on my UA-cam feed! EXACTLY what I needed! For the past three years I’ve watched countless videos and done tons of research to try to educate myself. I must say that yours is the most invaluable one I’ve seen, with the most succinctly presented information…and free PDF’s to boot! Thank you from the bottom of my heart. New …and eternally grateful…subscriber! 🤗👏👏👏💖🥰
She is not keto. She makes you eat starch
Hello Jessie, I’m super impressed with your brilliant presentation! Will try my best to follow your hacks regularly!
Thank you so much Jessie!
May Jehovah God bless you always!
Mabuhay ka Jessie! 🙏😇❤️👍👏

@@AnavonRebeur She doesn't MAKE you eat starch
@@barbaralee3072 yes. She does. Lying about that crazy BS that cider vinegar neutralizes starch. Why taking vinegar if you dont eat starch?????
My mom is 56 she reversed her type 2 by cutting carbs sugars fried foods etc along with physical activities and she's doing great she gets her blood work done every 3-4 months her levels are always under 6
She may be interested in the tips on lowering the glucose food order. First eat: Green veggies especially salad greens, vinegar in water, then protein and fat, and if eating grain/root veg, consume them at the end.
71 here, T2D, on medications, managed to drop HbA1c from 8.6 to 6.8 in 3 months by switching to more carnivore diet. Your topic is excellent; please continue.
Try a plant based diet. You will be a lot healthier.
@@Angela-zv1fw Take Zinc to lower copper levels
@@waxeye6488please explain how a plant-based diet is going to lower her A1c
Stay blessed Jessie, you are a wonderful lady when it comes to teaching medical science so easy to make people understand
Her graphics are the best!
I agree and am grateful
I love watching her videos, slow and calm…and she’s so beautiful, inside and out. ❤
Agree!!
Fasting glucose level
HbA1C
Fasting insulin levels
Thanks
and then calculate the HOMA-IR ratio. All this is in her free pdf available in the description.
Thank you so much. It's amazing
I have one question. How often do I have to drink apple cider vinegar every meal period or once a day?Hope to hear from you
@@mesfinyersaw6289In one of her vids I watched yesterday, she says 5-10 minutes before eating a meal with carbs in it. Once a day.
Ty❤❤❤❤❤
she got always the coolest outfits.
…how about you?
Aw, thank you!
French women understand flattering fashion very well. Tres chic😊
Subscribing just for the shoes 🤩 But also, I love biochem, lifestyle prevention, & diabetes education.
So agree
Important clue might be, if you start to feel like sticked, glued, slowed down both cognitevitely and psyhically and you are only after your 30s or 40s or even earlier you should immidiately change your lifestyle and diet. Your doctor usually will tell you its normal especially when your results are in range. It s not. It s total bs. A lot of ranges covers people around 60 years old. It should be changed for age spans but its not. You should change your lifestyle and habits to feel like 20-25 years old and try to preserve this till you are above 60s or 70s.
Feeling sticked glued sleepy means your cardiovascular system is getting broken your metabolism slowing down , you need a lot of antioxydants, protein and fiber, iron, vitamins b, magnesium, vitamin d, sleep and move your body. Diet should have very little amount of processed food or none.
So smart! I feel like the pcp healthcare Im getting is such a sham and a scam. It's funny that instagram and fb are our fallbacks to save our lives, and Im grateful!!! 🎉
And no seed oils.
Absolutely
Why are we not taught this in schools. ❤ very grateful here
sex and gender education seem to be more important than health - evil !
Because the school is not trying to sell you glucose tests and supplements
@@HalKWthings can coexist
You are taught to read. So read. You have a brain and body - learn how it works. smh
@@clarifyingquestions yeah every 12 yo kid will pickup a book on glucose 😂
Wonderful visual style and deliberate light hearted delivery of important information that would otherwise be too boring to listen to.
I appreciate your professional skills and your sincere desire to help people ( like me) understand that it’s not too difficult to take control of one’s health when one is adequately informed. Thank you .
A spotlight in my world of darkness. Thank you. I'm 67 T2D for 20 yrs and in you have taught me more than all the doctor i had encountered.
Eg i didn't understand why one vinegar was better than the other yet all the doctors on UA-cam promote one brand. Thanks a million
Nice episode. The CGM reference was the highlight for me as I was aware of the rest. Glad to see you feeling more comfortable in your new studio.
This is some incredibly precious information !! Thank you Jessie I've discovered you through Steven's DOAC podcast, bought your book, been following you since that day and you quite literally changed my life thank you
So appreciate how you educate everyone! I learn so much from you. THANK YOU
So glad to hear you're learning a lot! THANK YOU for being here! 🌟
Thanks for such an informative video
I loved your video. I read your 2 books already, excellent! I learned so much!! 🎉
This is gold Ms. Glucose Goddess 😇 Thank you. Love that you are sharing this in a way that is understandable and condensed. keep up the great work
I always love the way Jessie is explaining technicisms
I am so extremely happy I have found you!!! Thank you for all you do!!❤
Finally some advice our bodies. Have been waiting for a long long time . Thanks for serving us with this information . Appreciate it very much .
Lovely minimalist yet impactful presentation. What I have learned from you, as long as you have the tools to control imbalances, don’t need to become obsessed with a specific diet.
Incredibly clear information. This content is right on point. Thank you so much.
Great video, packed with information and love your studio and love the striking orange jumper and shoes 😅🙌🙌
My goodness Jessie, I'm always thoroughly impressed with your teaching techniques and how you simplify everything that you explain. I would've loved to have you as my Pathophysiology professor in nursing school, better yet, as my teacher for my entire academic career. Also I wish medical doctors were taught more about nutrition and preventative care models and not just how to treat the health problems after they have occurred.
I'm a nurse and I never would've thought to ask my PCP for a Fasting Insulin level. Definitely a Fasting glucose level. But not the Fasting Insulin level. Now I absolutely will request for one at my physical especially since I've gained a lot of weight in the past year since leaving my workout class last year and I'm also predisposed to diabetes.
This is so perfect, love the editing!😮
You are a lifesaver. I’ve been listening to your podcast and the more I listen , the more I am determined to get my glucose levels under control. Thank-you for your educating and giving information to lead a healthier life style. 😅
A big thank you for the free information. I have now watched multiple of your videos and the informtion is eye opening and giving me a much better understanding of how to help myself. Your presentaions are brilliant! Thank god ofr people like yourself, you are saving us.
I’m 73, (74 next month😊) and I went on a no carb diet in my mid thirties. Stayed on this diet for about twenty years. I just loved it. So I’m thinking of going back on it, because it is so easy for me. And I don’t want to enter my golden years with problems.
Thanks for your work! 💜🤍In January 2023, I did a blood test and my fasting glucose was 96, doctor did not say anything, but I did not like it as I am disposed to diabetes. In summer 2023 I discovered you, bought your book and adopted your hacks. I did blood test last month and glucose is down to 92 🦾. My goal is to bring it down below 90 🙏🏻
What did you do
You are a Glucose saint but goddess is OK with a small g. Amazing...Thank you so much. When I heard your credentials , I can automatically trust you completely. Plus what you say makes so much common sense. You are one of my greatest UA-cam finds. Most of my wife's adult life, she had most of her pancreas removed due to insulin producing tumors. I'm trying to care for her now close to the end of her life. She has done such a great job being her pancreas. Wish we knew this info 50 years ago. I'm sharing with all my family. God bless you!
Thank you for sharing all this knowledge Jessie. Amazing. 💕
This is the most helpful video I’ve ever seen! Thank you Jessie! I’m scheduling an appointment to get these levels checked today!
I have seen you on a few podcasts and loved the dialogue, but this series takes it home in such a beautiful way and covering the topics clearly and concisely. I am a nurse, and we are not taught this. I am struggling with insulin resistance and its effects on my health (PCOS, fibroids, automimmune) and just got these lab results and now know how to interpret because the doctor only calls when the ranges are out of high range. I am going to finish your series and take all of these "hacks" into practice. I want to reverse this and get my health back. You are doing such great work. Thank you.
These videos are incredibly educational - thank you so much!

Too good explanation dear .I had very high insuline 70
Was lucky enough to identify and reduced to 7 in 4 months with dietician .
Really this video is worth to understand everyone .Thank you so much 😊

Great great video! I didn't mean to stay in the video, but I've watched all of it. Love it ❤
You explain these scientific concepts with such ease... Thank you so much ... ❤
i love this 😍with your hacks from my fbs of 226 now whenever i test my glucose two hours after meal my highest was 132 on the first day. On my 2nd day glucometer reads 123 after breakfast and after dinner (2 hrs after) glucometer reads 117. the third day and fourth day my glucometer reads 121 2 hrs after breakfast and dinner time (after 2 hrs) glucometer reads 116 now for almost a week my glucometer in the morning and after dinner was 120 to 111. I'm glad i followed your hacks. this morning my glucometer reads 96 i'm so grateful to you Jessie looking forward for more people with pre diabetes and type 2 diabetes can recover from their present condition through your help. And hopefully more people will start taking care of their health if they have no issue with their glucose yet.
You're an answer to prayers. Thank you for tour work! Downloading your pdf and printing your hacks! I've got work to do. Conquering gluconation! 🎉
Thank you very much, Jessie, to share your knowledge and for your generosity... Greetings from Brazil.
Thank you so much. My both parents have diabetes and the doctors never mention about insulin levels measurement.
Thanks for helping us all.
Keep up you amazing work !
Keep inform us too :))))
Many doctors operate under "The Standard of Care," which more correctly should be referred to as "The Standard of Don't Care."
Stay blessed jessie, you're wonderful smart young lady, thank for educating us ❤
With your methods, I went from a fasting glucose of 93 down to 87 😅 in only a few days 🎉
Just got both of yours books and loving everything about the books. I started the 4 weeks hacks and it is working well for me. Thank you🎉
Wow, now I know why I have CVD. Several years ago my doctor told me I had metabolic syndrome. My fasting glucose was just above 100 for several years. He told me to loose some weight. He never told me how to loose weight! Had to figure that out for myself. So now I’m 20 lbs lighter. A1c from 5.7 to 5.3. Low carb diet did the trick.
I had two insulin level tests done within the past year. Two different labs and two different units of measurement IU/ml and uIU/ml. I used the IU/ml to calculate my HOMA-IR. Not sure how to convert one to the other.
I enjoyed your presentation. I look forward to more.
Thank you soo much fir educating with crystal clear explanation
I have been watching all your videos
To quote you from this episode, WOW WOW WOW. Your information is fascinating. Also, super impressive that someone with your level of smarts can present the information in a way that a mere mortal like me can not only understand but enjoy learning. WOW WOW WOW!
I love these videos! Even more information than in the book, simply explained. Thank you so much for the work you do Jessie! And also the neon orange match was freaking fabulous 🧡
She is smart and very helpful. She makes perfect sense.
My dearie, you know what you are teaching very very well. More grease to your elbows. You are God sent to the needy . More blessings will be coming your way. You are a true Israelite, in you there's no deceit. You are a good person.
Just wow😮you are amazing. Thank you so much. I have pcos and I have learned from you so many things. You are doing great job 👏🏻 ❤
Yes I also like and appreciate your information . I didn’t see any PDF just a form for an e-mail newsletter.
I ll replay the video and write the formulas down as I don’t need more emails .
Thanks again for the wonderful advice and information!
Peace always 🙏
Thank you for your good, helpful video, and for the tip about the fasting glucose and fasting insulin tests. I am going to have them done.
🙏🏽Merci beaucoup, muchas gracias, thank you so very much for sharing all of your insights! I’ll be requesting these tests at my next physical exam. 🤛🏽💪🏽
I’ve been following your eating style and hacks - order of food, savory breakfast, etc - and am feeling pretty stable. Yesterday I went on a very long bike ride and followed it with a beer and basketof fries. WTF! Two hours later I was exhausted even after a nap. I dragged myself around for the rest of the day thinking about glucose spikes and glucose crash. I will not be doing that again. Thanks for all your great communication regarding food intake.
OR...start with a salad with a vinegar dressing and then your beer and fries won't exhaust you!
Really? Beer and fries after a long bike ride? Man, I'm laughing, here. Glad to know you learned not to repeat. Beer and fries?
You are amazing! I have Reactive Hypoglycemia and I have learned so much from you and your hacks. I am better able to manage my blood sugar and I can't wait to try your Anti-Spike. Thank you for all you do!
Excited for you to try Anti-Spike!!! Thanks for the support 🥰
It's all such a 'bummer!, but personally, symptomatic explanations abound, after hearing your work and quite a bit to be done in order to establish the reality.
You've done the really tough ground work. Thank you!
You make it always so easy to understand . Thank you
I’m a 71 year old T1.5 diabetic and have an A1c of 5.5. Six years ago I started following Dr. Richard K Bernstein’s book “Diabetes Solution” and started a Low Carb High Protein lifestyle and changed my insulin regimen. I’m using 86% less insulin now & lost 70 lbs. to boot. A “Normal” human has a BG (blood glucose) of 83. I strive for this goal and it works, but it only works with a lifestyle change; away from the SAD (Standard American Diet) and going Low Carb.
Amazing info from a professional!! Thank you!
Super simple and you are so sweet too.Thank you lots.Much Love
Thank you for your excelent educational book, videos and advice, we should have more scientist like you helping people with their health problems, I will continuo learning all your information, thank you once again, take care.
Great presentation! Love your books and all of your info!!!
So thankful you emphasized on the fasting insulin test. Unfortunately, many doctors do not know the importance of this test.
Thank you so much for discovery !!❤
Thank you for your helpful video.
A year back my fasting glucose was 104 and Doctor told me of there is chance of taking diabetic tablet from next year.
After hearing this i continued my exercise little vigarous and diet plans etc. Now, after looking your this video has given unforgettable informations.
This year it is 100glc
Thank you 😊 so much!! It's very important to know how to make the difference in my 💜❤️ health as an older woman 👠 after a certain age!! I believe the way she is explaining the process of chemistry on glucose and levels of change taking place and changes happening that we don't fully understand and need further health care in professional guidance to better choices to keep glucose levels down!!
Thank you Jessi, very interesting, my numbers improved significantly.
How did you change your numbers ? I changed to Carnival with some fruit mostly in the morning have some sweet potatoes pumpkin .No sugar no more wheat or wheat products or corn 🤔 bread is the hardest sometimes I do have 1or 2 slice of sourdough bread

I'm picky. I like your style and content. Thanks for the teaching and sharing, and all the work that you put into your efficient ahd effective presentations.
Thank you. I'm not diabetic, but there are lots of people around me taking metformin. Simple lifestyle changes can reverse type 2 diabetes. You make that clear. Thanks again.

Many thanks for this great stuff. I have been using some of your hacks in a half-hearted fashion for a couple of months now and I was astounded to see a huge drop in A1c according to my CGM. So now I am going to getserious. BTW is there an optimal A1c?
Thanks for this list! I'm a 70 y/o male, 69" & 216 lbs, with fasting glucose low 90s and A1C 5.1. So doing pretty well in spite of being Class 1 obese. Now I know which specific tests to ask for for my upcoming lab work and physical. Liked and Subscribed.
