CCE generally works well in many parts of NZ, and it also has a lot of "second cool" as well. That said, most camo patterns work if they are being used correctly. It's not the pattern; it's the way that it is used. And movement is a huge part of that. BLUF: I love CCE, I have some myself, I've recommended it to others, but it's not inherently superior to DPM or M81 or Flecktarn in NZ conditions. Good video.
I'm glad I ordered from you guys because I found a East German pfenning and cap badge along with some torn East German documents inside of the strichtarn trousers I bought from you!
I actually like French CCE better, it's colour palette seems to blend in forests better with the greens not being as bright in my opinion it works to its strengths with the changes made I see it an improvement over woodland.
@@armyand_Outdoors The DGA Direction Générale de l'armement designed the camo and selected the colors based on the Fontainebleau Forest close to Paris a typical continental forest. Thats probably why the CCE matches well natural colors. We used both at the same time the CCE and the FR variant of the multi. The CCE "won" hands down in a forest environment.
I was able to get three of the F2 CCE tops - New, in my size (XXL/120-30), and two F2 CCE pants. Very cheap because no one realized what they were. I don’t like the French patrol or boonie covers. I was able to find a U.S. style CCE boonie in Lithuania. I'm hoping to find the 8 point USMC utility cover in CCE. If anyone has seen any please advise.
CCE is an effective camo for the medium and long distance, due to its large segments. Less effective in the < 25 meters/ 28 yards range. Very effective when you stood in front of a tree trunk.
Currently have my new m81 shirt on the roof to lighten it up a bit

the good ol' bonus surplus 'freebies' - always nice to get some historical context with your trousers haha!

the key for me is the browns being more natural. US Woodlands tan just never sits right in any woodland environment for me

@@hugtango thanks for that, interesting tid-bit.

I half picked you once, you would have dropped me!
Good camo
