I’m have one of these and the pockets are serious. No kidding I fit a large bottle of La Fin Du Monde and extra gloves in the lower pocket. I love the hood and the fit across the shoulders. The MTP pattern is pretty useful. My only complaint, this could be because I chose a large, is how it feels around my legs. If I have to squat or take a knee it feels restrictive. Other than that it’s a great piece of kit. It is one of my favorite smocks. Living in Michigan there is a short period of time before an extra layer is needed because of the cold. I am considering a hoodie woobie as an option I love the detail you put into your reviews
A quick modification. Rank slide. Inpick the arrow end. Then resew seam on each side seperatly. It will now fit a smaller Sumto compass. Adding a layer. Standard buttons. Sew them in both sides inside of Zip and one inside each arm. Now just add in a M65 field jacket liner.
@@SurvivalScout2024 I've thought maybe welcome as well for smaller items but can't think of anything I'd keep there lol. My Smock is an earlier issue. But likewise, you could easily sew an extra pocket over the interior pen pockets if you had a need for it.
@@SurvivalScout2024 Mine is a bit modified allround though, tailored dpm pattern inside, made sleeves removeable and the like. Half smock, half daysack, all British haha!🤘🙂
Great review, just what i was looking for including the arm cut. Very indepth. I saw the front access zippers but does it have pit zips too? Thanks for your review. Subscribed!
@@tylerewing8511 I’m 6 feet, 183 pounds. This smock size fits good and has enough space to wear a good sweater for cooler temperatures. A sweater with a fleece is too tight on the arms.
I wish more videos would elaborate on this point. Most of us dont have access to try these surplus items on before purchasing. Shipping from over seas prevent cost effective returns. I got a mpt gortex british surplus jacket recently in a 180/112 and its kinda way too big. Even using i over a plate carrier/gear it still seems a bit big. I'm 5'11" 200lbs. Looking at buying one of these smocks in a 180/104, but now questioning the size reading survivalscout2024 post on his sizing... Seems to fit him good for width, but way too long in my opinion. Wish I had a place to try these on first before buying.

@@Grief_Bacon762 That’s awesome! The British make some great kit!

I keep a small light in there.

@@Devin_Milford I believe it has pit zips as well. I might have missed that point.
@@Devin_Milford Thanks for subbing brother!
@SurvivalScout2024 my mistake. I was showing my wife your videos and you did show the pit zips. Thanks again for the info!
@ Awesome!
Uh Oh missed this one!👍👍
Right on! 😁
I bought one of these but haven't yet used it. IMHO MTP is better than Multicam, even though they're very similar.
@@maltaconvoy MTP in the Multicam family is one of the most effective patterns out there. I agree!
What are your height and weight if you don't mind me asking? I'd like to know how the 190/112 fits
