    Just a useless fact, DPM is the british equivalent to woodland, what youve got there is MTP, Multi Terrain Pattern, which is basically multicam except darker, its like, you can have my homework just dont copy it exactly 😂 i prefer the MTP purely because it doesnt “shine” as much compared to multicam. Even brand new kit, in my opinion doesnt need any breaking in period to dirty it up. Been out the forces for about 4 years now, but still use my webbing or belt kit for hikes and overnights in the woods, cracking bit of kit

      I am super impressed with it so far. I am still testing it. Thanks for the knowledge

      @@MyrmidonPress as for the officers pouch, commanders pouch, general purpose, whichever you prefer. Its just that a general purpose. Its a convenient pouch for section commanders to have their orders and anything admin related on their belt rather than in a pack. Youll notice in regards to backpacks, the beltkit acts as the waist strap, the pack sits on it and is like a one piece when worn together. Bergens youll notice, over here we have long back and short back, short back bergens are shorter and wider, work much better with the beltkit than the longback,which has the same capacity just taller and thinner. For an overnight bag, if your curios, any 45Litre pack would be plenty space for an lightweight overnight in good weather conditions. Any chance i get to talk about military kit, i jump on haha, i love the stuff.

      I'm a fan of this type of stuff I am currently trying to make it work with a jungle pack I've got. A true bergen I can see is going to be perfect

      @@MyrmidonPress you can pick up surplus british bergens for cheap, shipping will definitely ramp up the price. Personally i would stay clear of any surplus VIRTUS bergens, but that is purely because i had a bad experience, alot of unnecessary straps and things. Genuine JayJays is one of the leading companies that serving soldiers buy from, dragon supplies is another. You will find alot of tailored bergens, these are usually standard issue that have been taken to a company like jayjays or dragon supplies be modified. In my professional opinion, i would highly recommend a short back bergen to be used with your belt kit. Be aware though, alot of bergens often have missing waist straps, due to the belt kit being used as that, some soldiers prefer to remove the waist straps, which isnt ideal when it comes to using the bergen on its own. But like all personalised kit, theres always pros and cons

      @@jockin_around8314 I can second the short back bergen as well, most soldiers dont fit the long back unless you are freakishly tall. personally using the dragon supplies advanced infantry bergen had no issues with it done lots of tabbing with it.

    How do you find it compared to the Alice system? much the same/better or worse? like your video realy good set up!

    • @MyrmidonPress
      @MyrmidonPress  3 місяці тому +3

      My alice setup sits lower on the hips. And it doesn't hold near as much stuff nor is it as tight. I'd pick this one just for ease and fitment. The alice is way better for just making it custom or switching it for a lefty. Thanks for watching!

    USFS 1 quart canteen will fit in that mag pouch perfectly.

      The British canteens are a little skinnier and might fit 2 in the big pouches

      @@MyrmidonPress the oval shaped ones? Nope only one they are not space efficient. 1 USFS 1qt canteen for three mag pouch and 2 for the sustainment pouches, in my jayjays.

      Do you have any Platac canteens? Those im gonna try out soon

      @@MyrmidonPress yeah the platatac will fit in the three mag pouch but it’s very snug, I can only fit 1 in my sustainment pouches; but that’s my least favorite canteen to use because the square shape in the rectangular pouch leaves a lot of wiggle room but not enough in one space to be useful.
      The sadf 2L will fit in the sustainment pouches but the lid is pretty open. Also fits the pathfinder canteen/cup with more usable space than the platatac.

    i dont know about all my gear being on the back.i had a hard time getting to my canteen pouches on the sides of my rig. but to each his own.

      I didnt like it at first either. I think this is best used with a pack that has a bladder. The bottles are more for static positions with other people around. It's definetly a "fighting" rig in my eyes
