Thank you so much. I wanted to bend a flat map but didn't succeed in the first place. I didn't know I had to enter angle degrees first to make the rotation of the empty matter. It looks perfect now.
Nice, hey thank you. I was able to make m.2 ssd by your tutorial and i making things without tutorial now. After success to make ssd, i got confidence to make things. Thank you, really!
Oh Thank you so much!!! this tutorial help me too much, I was trying to figure it out how to rotate the Bend orientation to create a ring, and you did it!! thanks a lot
Also you can Add Bezier Curve > make it the bend you want > then add loop cuts on your object you want to curve > In Object mode select Simple Deform from modifiers > Use eye dropper in origin to select bezier > select your axis and play with the angle slider. Easiest way to do it without stretching decals or materials.
For all the people that are saying there are far easier ways to do this task. Definitely there are, but this method allows you to work non-destructively
I did everything as in the video, but unfortunately, when moving an object on the map, it begins to deform and change its position and size as if it clung to the center of the arrows (Pacifiers). How to fix it?
No clue why people are suggesting proportional editing. That's great if you want a quick and permanent change but this method allows you to non-destructively deform a mesh with more control than just proportional editing.
I've got a question. Why do we create loops here. I saw a different guide and they didn't do it. It worked for them, but it didn't work for me. With adding loops it somehow worked, or at least I manage to place it in an affordable position. So, does adding the loops somehow make the process easier?
They likely had invisible loops. It creates the spots that tells the program where to bend, as if theres a specific way you want it to bend it won't know it.
This was neither methodically nor educational. Just someone filming himself experimenting around and not actually achieving a desirable outcome, let alone in a decent time frame.
Don't understand why there is no simpliere way of doing this in Blender - I mean a bend modifier is one of the most important tools within any 3D program. Why we have to do some kind of annoying work-around to make this function as it should?
@@self-proclaimedanimator interesting comment as most Industry Professionals don't use Blender. I say that as a Blender user and fan (despite agreeing with the OP remark).
Dude! You display "use ct+R to add loop cuts" then skip 10 steps then say "move empty..." I didn't even know there was an empty on the screen. How are we supposed to know what those 10 steps were?

You can also subdivide it, select the middle edge loop and use the proportional editor and just drag it along the y axis
