Just bought this, it's so useful, I didn't think it fair to download it for free. Hopefully people will start to build their own library of modules and the addon can cope with multiple libraries in the future. I will certainly have to play around myself and see if I can create something. A video tutorial on this aspect would be helpful I think at some point.
I would love to see this taken to the next level, and have the building be one that can be entered, and rooms procedurally filled with furnishings. For my specific use: I'd want medieval type houses instead of modern skyscraper/ apartments. But this is incredibly impressive
at least you could use this as a starting point, and then add interiors to buildings you want to have them, that still saves a lot of time! but yes, interiors too would be next level. Hmm, now i want to see if i can make my town and put it in CryEngine 5.7

If anyone need's help getting the geo node into projects, 1. save the buildify file. 2. Append the "Building" node from the buildify file into preferred project. 3. Add the node to a plane with the geo nodes drop down. I know this isn't convenient but it works :)

Oh my God, that'd be so cool! Everything on the map changing in real time. I could see that being really useful if you wanted to have an open world game where everything exists in 4D. Add in, NPC's that have an LLM brain, so they all say completely original stuff. And if you harm them, they'll respond realistically.
I think this might be useful in a city builder game like Cities Skylines so you can make buildings that can fit different tile sizes and unusual shapes to fill in empty spaces.
@@omega72519 It could be used in a different city building game, it doesn't have to be City Skylines. I just think it's cool to be able to make your own buildings like this.

@@architecturetopics I understand. Even if it’s just cubes and rectangles and other primitives. I am doing a house model in sketchup and import the sketchup model into blender and added the materials. After that i had to add some additional staircase to hose model. Depends on the capabilities of your rig. You can run what ever or as many of anything as you want and create some amazing super game and as long as YOUR pc can handle it, you can make it. However, in development, especially open world games, developers try and watch the amount of meshes and sprites that will appear in an area to kind of keep the game running smooth.

You will need to rebuild the the building with the modular assets that the generator used.. with the floor plane being the only new thing. Unless there is a way to get the building as a whole.. and if you use map data it will only export the 2d map and no buildings. So it's worthless
This made me realize that...Sure buildify works wonders, but together with Open Street Mapping made it drop the fps to single digits, thus I must upgrade. Goodbye money (and for the record, no, the parts aren't cheap in my country)
