Can’t thank you enough for what you’re doing Ken! I’ve had type 1 diabetes for 13 years and for my slight ADHD I decided to try and see what would happen if I stopped injecting insulin at the beginning of the year. I did a bit too much fasting and training but my glucose stayed pretty stable at my CGM and I recently saw that my C-peptide had doubled since last year. Two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in 32 oz. of water and stevia almost daily. Sparkling water with a couple of drops of stevia. Since Feb, I have made sugar free jello 2 times. I use ketone strips and am in the dark purple zone most of the time and am never out of ketosis. My partner is also a diabetic type 2 and have almost chronic kidney stones (due for another laser removal of the stones sometime soon). We mostly drink black sugarless coffee and teas (green teas, rooibos tea) but my husband has also moved over to almond Unsweetened milk that he uses sometimes. Thank you so much Dr. Berry and Neisha for all the teaching you are giving us on health human diet. I'm having a problem. I'm 57, diabet type 2, fibromyalgia, and vasovagal syndrome for 17 years after a high risk pregnancy. I was on 2 types of insulins and Trulicity. After starting Keto diet I lost 50 lb (still more 30 to go). The doctor took the insulins away (A1C 6.1), and kept only the Trulicity till we could see the next tests results. The previous blood tests were all great, unless the LDL that was 210 and the A1C was still 6.1. But, after a year and a week of following the new way of eating to the letter (Ketovore diet) with 25g of carbs daily, my blood sugar started to go up like crazy even fasting (18-6). I'm not being able to control it as before, it stays a long time on 200's then falls to 158 and stays there. Anyone has any idea what may be happening to me? By the way, the fibromyalgia and arthritis improved a lot after I've changed to butter/lard/avocado oil/ghee/olive oil. Thanks!
Fat does not break down into glucose. From what they have said in many videos, eating too much lean protein can elevate blood sugar. Maybe you need more fat in your diet.
Just my guess but Dr. Berry has mentioned many times that some people need to be zero carb to be able to achieve their goals. So while you did see improvement initially, perhaps its time to do a self test and try 90 days of zero carbs. Perhaps your ideal carb # will be that low or maybe it might be in between 0 and 25. But I would try going zero carbs first. (Also the comment about fat becoming sugar is as Dr. Berry says "That's just stupid" imo)
@@stephysands I'm eating enough fat, fat meat, bacon, ghee, butter, eggs, olive and avocado oil, and lard. So probably the problem is not there. Thanks for the suggestion though!
@@RodeoPrinsessa Thanks for the reply! Well, it wasn't initially. I did Keto with 20-25g of carbs and intermittent diet for a year and a week. It was working great till all of a sudden my blood sugar started sky rocketing for no reason. Even during the 20hs intermittent fasting. I've been doing carnivore for a month now, and the blood sugar still out of whack and my last A1C came 7.2 when it was already 6.2 before all this reaction. Still trying to figure this out.
Welcome back! I have learnt alot in the last 2 months watching your videos. Even lost 20 pounds. Cut out sugar and a lot of carbs. My blood pressure dropped a lot. I only take half of 20mg now because of it being low. Not sure if I can quit taking all together. Not sure if that is safe. My Lipid test in Feb. results were HDL 56, LDL 198, Trig. 177. Will test again in a couple weeks. Went from 163lb down to144lb
Lucky you. I’ve tried keto twice this year and stopped both times after 5 days because my blood pressure goes sky high. I then eat a carb and blood pressure is almost perfect with a couple of hours.

The truth about greens and fruits being poisonous with oxalates and lectins is very real, not a myth. Sally Norton is the expert on that entire topic. One species, one diet. As for "whatever works" - oxalates deposit into the body over decades, and only start showing up for most ppl as illnesses later in life, esp vegetarians/vegans. Just be educated, it is not about labels.

I have had 2 colonoscopy's and they are not that bad, I found that the prep work was worse than the actual procedure itself, didn't end up with those explosive farts afterwards thank goodness 😅
I know this... I wish you were my doctor .. you have common sense. Metformin lowers testerone and low testerone increases insulin resistence. The best treatment is TRT and change of diet. I know ... for over 3 years my ex-doctor pushed drugs. I finally asked him to do a T level test on me. He asked why . As he said it has nothing to do with it. But he did it andit was 230. He didn't care just pushed higher doses of drugs. I finally started a TRT program on my own a month ago and my T level is 907 as of last week AND I FEEL GREAT My A1C is dropping. (Plus, I have stopped the drugs) I told the doctor and he got pissed. As I said, he is now my ex-doctor.

What's happening to you is that fat becomes sugar. This meat and butter diet will end up messing up more than one
Thanks for sharing!!
I have hypothyroidism and am on levothyroxine, can I take iodine supplements and if so what is the best kind and dose. Thanks
Ketovore works great! Im down 50lbs. in a month.
Thank you!
❤❤ I do pour over coffee to avoid heated plastic
Love you mean it guys!! ☺️🙏🏼
After two years of keto and the last year of carnivore I still have high blood pressure 171/83.
Have been body building and gaining muscle mass and am lean .
Looking and feeling amazing currently doing 2 mad eating fatty meat only ,to satiety. Still type two diabetic the meat does keep my blood sugars at on average 117 in the morning and during the day around 90 .
I am a house painter by trade / always moving ,after work I hit the gym.
Just can't figure out why the high BP.
My stress is pretty low
Thank you Doc
Thank you , God bless
My poor dog is desperately trying to find the squeak.
30 days BBBE in April lost 22 lbs
wow congratulations 👏👏👏
I forgot to mention the Dr says I am now pre diabetic.
Hey, Dr. and Rn Berry 😂❤🎉
Thx u two!!
Bpc 157 is an interesting compound, seems to reduce NO in the intestines but not too much, hard to follow what it does exactly

Write the cookbook please?!?!
Thank you two. I love you both.

Not carnivore or low carb right now eating from the garden and nothing else , but Whatever works for ppl to be healthy and happy and have quality of life is all good . Wish the trend for the need for Botox for some as they age would go away . Aging naturally and healthily is more attractive
What are you trying to insinuate about Botox use?
Yikes
Are strawberries a few times a week ok ? I only eat BBBE occasional pork and chicken salt water coffee (1 per day) and a bit of cream
I like strawberries and blue berries with very fatty sour cream.
Thanks!
I don't eat donuts. Fried in bad oils. I make banana bread three times a year. Only for special occasions.
I eat banana bread 😮three times a week 😊

ALL seed oils are toxic!
I found I can't eat store bought eggs at all. I found someone who has farm fresh eggs and I can eat as many as I want with no problems.
I heard you speak of meat aversion with pregnancy. I'm not pregnant, but have had a chicken aversion for a few months now.. It used to be my favorite go to... Now, I can't stand the taste OR even the smell. Have you heard this from anyone else?
I’ve tried carnivore diet 3 times and my blood sugar levels fall dangerously low during the night. I wake up around 2 feeling sick and then I faint and start vomiting. It’s very scary. I have diabetes 2 and take a magnesium supplement before bed to stop leg cramps. I have been controlling my diabetes through diet and no supplements
Go to the dr. I wonder if you are a type 1 diabetic?
How long are you going without sodium overnight? I'd imagine you would feel much better if you'd have a shot of solé right before bed.
Magnesium on an empty stomach makes me really nauseous. I have to take it with a meal.
@@pettytoni1955, what type are you taking? If you haven't already done so, you might want to try magnesium glycinate.
@@billierichter1379 I'll look into that.
Thoughts on the amino acid glycine as an alternative to conventional carbohydrate-based sweeteners?
Omg those little squeaky balls with the faces on them are all 3 of my dog's fave toys! Mayhem definitely happened when they heard the sound😂😂❤❤❤😊
On carnivore for 5 weeks. 59 year old very fit, thin woman. Resistance train every night, work hard 10 hours a day. I am looking THINNER! 5'3" and about 110. I was hoping to gain weight. How do I GAIN on this woe?
Add in another full meal. Possibily a protein shake in addition to food
Dairy like cheese and cream is an easy way to gain weight if you can tolerate it.
Look up Dr. Kiltz carnivore ice cream. It's delicious
Colonguard came back positive. Guess I will have to have the colonoscopy which I really do not want to do.
Ik it's sucks. My brother passed last year from colon cancer he was way younger than the recommended age for a colonoscopy. He was insistent to have one done even though his dr said he was too young. He initially caught it at stage 2 went in remission and it came back later stage 4. My point is get it checked and I hope all is ok and you have a false positive.
I'm 81, have said no to any doc who suggested it. Nope, not for me!
I have had 2 colonoscopy's and they are not that bad, I found that the prep work was worse than the actual procedure itself, didn't end up with those explosive farts afterwards thank goodness 😅
But I like my recliner! 😁
I finally started a TRT program on my own a month ago and my T level is 907 as of last week AND I FEEL GREAT
My A1C is dropping. (Plus, I have stopped the drugs)
I told the doctor and he got pissed. As I said, he is now my ex-doctor.
Hello! I need this!
Where can I get PHD t-shirts?

Hi Dr Berry - just realised that I've been watching your videos for 5 years now - wonder how many subs you had then!
What is a good fasting insulin and c peptide test results?
Dr Berry please comment on spices and rubs. Example: is garlic allowed since it's a plant?
I've been eating beef, bacon, chicken breasts, butter, eggs etc for over a month. No sugar no carbs. I'm gaining weight and my energy is still blah. Why? Yesterday I stopped this way of eating. I've never been a big veggie eater nor sugar. Breads, yes. Cereal Grape Nuts and milk yes. I don't know what to eat. I don't usually gain weight.. What am I doing wrong?

Hello dr Berry! I'm from Europe, it's night time here when your live show is aired. I really would like to ask some questions, but it's quite difficult to me to stay up at that hour. Is there any channel, way to get to you with my questions?
Hello granny Barry
Any word when Reversed is coming out!
How do you gain muscle post menapause. With this way of eating?
Lifting weights could help
Cool

I was a patron on patreon but I have never been able to get onto the mighty network. Can someone help
👍👍👍
To the tune off Danial Boon . Dr Berry is a man yes a good man, and he made us all better eating beef eggs and butter oh yeah.
Let me guess. Meat. All meat, all the time. Plus loads of butter and eggs and more meat, all day, every day. Bacon for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Pints of saturated fat every day. Because it's so good for you. And our ancient ancestors ate this diet all the time. Fact, nobody ever got heart disease eating this diet. Literally, not one person ever. Look it up. Amazing. Thanks, Dr Berry. Your wonderful advice has saved millions from certain death. I am going to nominate you for the Nobel Peace Prize.
What vitamin D supplement do you use?
Can I get carnivore crisps in Japan?
Hi Granny Berry
I have been on keto for a year and a half. Lost weight, feel great. Problem is my cholesterol is very high still. Arguing with my doc about meds. Don’t want them. I’m 73. I eat very well. Whole foods. Cheat every once in a while. I don’t know what to do. Health otherwise is good. Help!
How's your triglycerides vs HDL ratio? Higher cholesterol levels in older age is associated with lower mortality rates.
@@bucklesmagee3806 if that is Chol/HDL ratio then it is 4.5. Not so good right?
So it seems to me you want to know your Triglyceride # and your HDL #'s. Doctors in general seem to fixate on LDL and/ or Total # which are being found to be less important in regards to your cardiac health. Search for Dr Berry: Top 10 Risks for CAD. I have re watched this video, it has a lot of good information.
@@RodeoPrinsessa yes, he is one of the docs I’ve been following. There are so many other factors that lead to heart disease. Researching a lot. Thank you for your response.
Love your videos. Neisha is that a tat peaking through?
I’m very new here. I have to understand what is going on. Please, I need to research.
Hey carnivores, I have type 1 diabetes. My blood sugar is good during the day on carnivore, but in the morning it is high everytime. I know about the dawn phenomenon, but it only started recently when I went carnivore. Any idea why this could be? I hope it's just temporary
If you're having gallbladder issues and you try the flush you need to get Ox bile enzyme that is part of your regimen that will help dissolve your gallbladder stones
Speaking of donuts, there is something good about them. If you have insulin resistance and you eat one and take your blood sugar in an hour or so, you will never eat another one!! That's me!
Hello Berry’s!
I just found your channel.
I’m liking what I’m hearing so far 😉
They took my gallbladder in 2009, I was told I cannot eat red meat anymore.
Is this true?
Hoping you’ll see this ☺️
Someone wrote in the chat "it was great getting to beat both of you and take a picture at ketocon." Come on people...how much work is it really to just re-read your writing before you publish/send it.

Hey yall
I have diabetes type 2 and can only get bacon with sugar or dextrose. Is it still okay?
No. Avoid sugar at all times if you have Type 2.
@@boink800 so I have to stop eating bacon then?
The sugar in the bacon is part of the curing process. Check the carbs on the package. Keep eating bacon. Dr Berry said in another videos
Dr Berry said the cheapest bacon is also okay
@@mrplitsum Not if it's loaded with sugar. Sugar is killing you, your Type 2 is proof of that.
