Let's not forget, Vidis was a centreback in an era where strikers were ACTUAL, ELITE strikers. Even some midtable clubs & on rare occasions, bottom clubs, had ELITE strikers playing for them. Vvd plays in an era where he could just stand there & wait for the ball to cross his path & then call it "defending" without having to go toe to toe with the striker he's playing against.
Vvd is quite a good centreback, but let's be real. He is nowhere near the top 10 best in the history of the league.

People are delusional and we all know, rivals will never ever say anything good about our legends. Vidic was our rock. Ferguson bought him to cover Ferdinand because Ferdinand couldn't do what Vidic could do. They complimented each other like peanut butter and jelly. Inseperable. As a United fan, we couldn't even say which one was better than the other because we needed them both. Their partnership, together with Edwin Van Der Sar, Uncle Pat. It didn't even matter who played on the right. That was how good they were. They made an already awesome attacking team into a complete team in my opinion. The most complete team we had and I dare rivalling the 99 team. But its okay. It's alright. Those times were great memories and will forever cherish them. It doesn't matter what other rival fans/pundit/ex players say. Let them have their own hero. Their own "Vidic".

Rio was the best defender of his era in England. Vidic wasnt so good all times. Stam was the best and all of his career saw this (He even played in Milans Defense with Maldini Nesta and cafu )
