Players allowed to do dribblings and longshots reminded me of the 2000s when the beautiful game was at its peak. I hope this trend will continue and Peps leash will rip for good.

He utilised the tools at his disposal and yes he brought in James but he just really changed the narrative for Everton. I’ll never never forget him pulling 1-0 against Arsenal and ARTETA tried to explain just using maths and data how unlikelyt Everton’s win was. I just remember thinking like Ancelotti had them believing themselves and even had them standing up against the rivals Liverpool. One of the most important thing is that Madrid never hold (sentimental things) players
No matter how big they are, or even legends
Its clear and have a lot of critics because of it
if we look at barcelona years before, its the opposite
Now its proven that madrid did the better with their way
The sentimental things can lead to a lot of bad decisions if it managed badly like barca management for years
But dont forget that madrid strategy doesnt work that well at first
    Until Don Carlo comes
And its get boosted with new Laliga FFP rules, that makes Barca suddenly in really really bad condition (yes, after makes a lot of bad decission them self)
sometimes i wonder how real madrid can be this good and consistent
When u think about it more and more, its clear that the main reason is that they have Carlo
Players come and go, some of them looks mediocre at first
But they become better, carlo makes it works
    Carlo and Pep
For me, They're the best in their own philosophy
    They both are successful manager
Where Pep get loved for keeps his idea, style of play
Carlo get love of his flexibility to get the best of what he got
In terms of management POV, of course, carlo definitely loved more

When the players have to play outside their speciality, he too takes the criticism and promise and truly make the work to his promise. He earned the player's trust, even for someone like Cristiano Ronaldo. Nagelsmann is true, academics only get the team so far, social competence is what leads to long term and also the biggest success. Ironically Nagi fell victim to Bayern's toxic player cult

This has been a really impressive swan-song (I assume) for Ancelotti, I really thought he was finished after those awful Bayern and Napoli stints. Fantastic manager of course but considering the clubs he has managed you would think he would have won more league titles, his teams often lack the necessary consistency which is easier if you have a set system. I have to admit I really doubted Ancelotti when he returned to Madrid, and again when they started last season without a striker, but he's done an amazing job to somehow fit all his pieces together. The arrival of yet another star LW in Mbappe and the departure of Kroos may disrupt the balance he created though, or maybe I am doubting him too much again. I'm sure they will figure out a way to play but they might need to relegate 1-2 of their stars to the bench.

Ancelotti understand something many have forgotten:
The Players are good at certain things and not good in other things but while you can let them train the bad things they should also focus on the good things cuz that´s the reason why these people are in the team so if someone is not working right in your system, change the system or at least that bit of it.
Don´t let the player have to adapt to that new role completly but rather let his role find a part in the whole system and this is the true holy grail of football coaching.

when he started he used to be very straight with sacchi style footbal, so into it that refused to sign Baggio in Parma ( he admitted it was a huge mistake). Everything changed when he went to Juve and met zidane. he realized some players don't need to be told what to do, they just need to be put in perfect conditions to do it

Ancelotti understands his players level of creativity and offers them freedom to thrive - the result is that he has coached several Ballon D'or winners Kaka, Benzema, Ronaldo and possibly Vini.
Pep on the other hand, only Messi and possibly Rodri.
    Ancelotti is goated

My only concern is that against top opposition Ancelotti relays on an incredibly inflow of stamina, and some how Madrid achieve to have lots of its players in “mad men mode” at champions league finals, then you see them play before or after and is anything but inspiring at all. Vinicius shooting relentlessly against Bayern at 87 was just odd and weird.

Ancelotti was equally inventive and adaptable at Milan, with which it won two Champions League and lost another one only for the most unlikely combination of factors (basically, Liverpool were lucky). Ancelotti's Milan, in terms of players and style of playing, was arguably even better than Ancelotti's Real Madrid teams

Great video. Still the uninformed downplay the Don with relation to others. Carlo has been there and done that. He sees and understands things that many of the new boys probably neglect, both on and off field. Though it must be said he is often blessed with managing phenomenal players (a status he has earned). He has a new challenge now in integrating kylian into the team. Junior and Rodrygo have accepted him as a worthy incumbent into the strike force. But big egos have again come into play. This is evident with the start of the new season where Madrid’s attack has been incoherent. Interestingly some of the younger or lower profile members have been more influential such as Diaz, who is a phenomenal player in his own right, and guler. It might take time but hopefully Carlo can find a solution to make this group of such talented players hum like a machine.

I play fifa career mode with EFL league 2 teams and sign the cheapest youngest players I can get my hands on every season. It was absolutely insane to see Madrid sign camavinga and tchouameni basically in the same seasons I signed them to my teams. They are so far ahead, they’re so rich and they still spend money on young future talents that grow and integrate into the squad alongside their multimillion dollar galacticos, and they almost always have a veteran player paving the way to show young players how to fit into the squad at every position (which also has the side effect of creating consistent competition for every position, if you slack off someone else is right there waiting to take your spot) I used to hate them as a kid because I loved Messi but I have nothing for respect for their system and the way they just keep on competing and putting their club in football history

Because Guardiola is in everyone's lips and deservedly so, everybody slept on Ancelotti during his time at Everton until his return to Real Madrid. 2 Champions League titles in 3 years, 2 Uefa Super Cups, 2 La Liga titles, Copa Del Rey and a Club World Cup. Ancelotti allows his players to do their thing while Guardiola wants his players to fit his system and not deviate. Ancelotti is one of the greatest managers ever if not the greatest. He's the only manager to win league titles in Europe's top 5 leagues(Premier League with Chelsea, Serie A with Milan, Ligue 1 with PSG, Bundesliga with Bayern Munich and La Liga with Real Madrid).

If you’re gonna compare major success ancelotti is better pep when it comes to utilizing the players at his disposal. Pep can make an average player look very decent due to him understanding while Carlo’s style makes a good player world class by tailoring the position to him. This just leaves the question that xavi iniesta and Messi are world class players but would they be the same players without peps input or would they come up slightly shorter because that team is the only comparable one when it comes to ancelottis teams (in terms of the player quality being equal cause the both met a monster named Real Madrid during their Bayern runs)

    • @Rollerbear712

Suck so hard? He won the league and a cup, went to the semis of the other cup (Bayern always struggles in these) and only got knocked out by 3peat Madrid in arguably their prime. No team, at least in the top 5 leagues, has ever done a treble back to back. At least he didn’t get 5-0’d like Pep did. He did this in first and only season in charge when he was facing health issues. Pep’s City in 16-17 is what “sucked so hard”
