Virus Total only works with a Wi-Fi connection, unfortunately. I assume that as this app is designed to run on mobile devices, it bypasses an ethernet connection. Therefore, if you wish to run a scan with Virus Total, please temporarily connect via Wi-Fi.
I am the third clicker on LIKE Button. You Guys are my life saving HEROS ! I'm using Fire tv Stick since the day it popped up on the market. Thanks for the video. I'd attempted to add Mouse Toggle from a couple other sources to no avail on my new 4K Max. Despite turning ADB off and on multiple times the other downloads of Mouse Toggle wouldn't move past "starting". But your link worked first time!

Hi. A few days ago, the mouse toggle stopped working with my TV Stick 4k MAX (1st gen). I have not made any changes. I have completely reinstalled the mouse toggle version 1.11 and adjusted everything. 3 times already. it is always set to "starting" Picture parameters also already changed. Nothing works. Do you have any idea? Has there been an software update?

@@ggallojr8618 On some occasions the ‘Status’ might not change from ‘starting’ to ‘started’. If that happens to you, turning ADB Debugging on and off again usually does the trick to get it started. Tap down and select the blue ADB Settings button. Click on ADB Debugging to turn it off and click it again to turn it back on. Then click the back button on your remote to go back to Mouse Toggle. This time, the ‘Status’ should update from ‘starting’ to ‘started’ and the virtual mouse toggle is ready to use. To turn the mouse toggle on, quickly press the play/pause button on your remote control twice. You’ll then see a mouse pointer appear in the center of your screen. You can use the navigation circle of your Firestick remote to move the mouse pointer around the screen.
Might be a silly question but when using the firestick remote app, can you use 'hold' features, like when you hold the centre/ok button & you get context options? I can't get it to work? Also I'm trying to use mouse toggle via the remote app but I'm having no luck?

Hi I saw your troubleshooting video that I will give thumbs up and you did once again a great tutorial to help people and understand. I don’t know what’s my problem I did everything you said but still no luck. I’m using 1.11 and have a 4K Max that’s less then a month old. The only reason why I looking to use it because of an other Application that you said that needs the toggle mouse to finish the application.
I installed the mouse toggle on my third gen fire tv cube but I can't get the status to go to started, I turned off ADB debugging and turned it back on several times, rebooted the device and still no luck. Any suggestions?
You need to make sure that you are using the mouse toggle app with a supported application. For example, the mouse toggle will not work on the Fire TV home screen.

As usual I'm the only one with this issue apparently. I can activate the mouse easily but when i get out of the app activation page the mouse disappears. I can reactivate it again by double clicking play but all it does is disable the movement of the 4k max remote and no mouse appears. And yes i downloaded the correct 4k one from your site. Any ideas?

Sometimes it will NEVER change to "Started" (it just depends on the version you're using AND how it interacts with your device) ... BUT, I have successfully used Mouse Toggle under this condition (i.e. I COULD get the 'circle cursor' to appear properly with the rapid double-click!). So, if you can get the cursor to appear, don't worry about the whole 'Starting/Started' issue. Also, it's very hard to see the stupid cursor (why the developer didn't make it more visible, I'll never know!), so make sure you move the direction ring all around, especially up to the top, where the blue background will make it show up better! If still no luck after doing all the things in the video ... make sure to 'RESTART' your Fire device! I just had my Mouse Toggle stop working properly and did all the proper things (even 'uninstalling/reinstalling') and it would NOT function until I did the Reboot! This may save you a big headache. 😉

mouse toggle 1.11 breaks my 5ghz speed on the firetv cube. My speed from isp is over 200Mbps but when I install mouse toggle 1.11 and check speeds it's only 7Mbps. Uninstall mouse toggle and reboot and speeds are back to 200Mbps+ On 2.4ghz connections there is no problem with the connection speed. This version of mouse toggle is the only one that works for me on the cube but the the speed problem kills it for me. Anyone know why this is happening?

Please check which version you have installed as I think you have the wrong version. Go to your Firestick Settings / Applications / Manage Installed Applications / Tap down the list to fin Mouse Toggle and highlight over it. On the right-hand side, you'll see "Version". If you have v1.06 or v1.5.2 installed, it is the incorrect version for Mouse Toggle. Uninstall this version. Open Downloader, type in 28907 and click GO. Wait for my Downloads page to load. Select TOOLS from the categories. Tap down the list to find Mouse Toggle and select it. Move down the screen until you see LIGHT BLUE download buttons. Select the DOWNLOAD - FIRE TV 4K button and install the correct Mouse Toggle for your 4K Firestick.

As far as I'm aware, it's impossible to change the mouse's speed.

Once again, your tutorial was excellent I followed your instructions, installing . Once installed started to starting didn’t work for me. I did what you said and I can’t get it to work help please.

@@ggallojr8618 On some occasions the ‘Status’ might not change from ‘starting’ to ‘started’. If that happens to you, turning ADB Debugging on and off again usually does the trick to get it started. Tap down and select the blue ADB Settings button. Click on ADB Debugging to turn it off and click it again to turn it back on. Then click the back button on your remote to go back to Mouse Toggle. This time, the ‘Status’ should update from ‘starting’ to ‘started’ and the virtual mouse toggle is ready to use. To turn the mouse toggle on, quickly press the play/pause button on your remote control twice. You’ll then see a mouse pointer appear in the center of your screen. You can use the navigation circle of your Firestick remote to move the mouse pointer around the screen.

Might be a silly question but when using the firestick remote app, can you use 'hold' features, like when you hold the centre/ok button & you get context options?

I'm having the same issue, I'm using FireTv Android app as my remote since my hardware remote is not working.
Unfortunately, the virtual mouse toggle does not work with the firestick remote app.

Hi I saw your troubleshooting video that I will give thumbs up and you did once again a great tutorial to help people and understand. I don’t know what’s my problem I did everything you said but still no luck. I’m using 1.11 and have a 4K Max that’s less then a month old. The only reason why I looking to use it because of an other Application that you said that needs the toggle mouse to finish the application.

I installed the mouse toggle on my third gen fire tv cube but I can't get the status to go to started, I turned off ADB debugging and turned it back on several times, rebooted the device and still no luck. Any suggestions?

You need to make sure that you are using the mouse toggle app with a supported application. For example, the mouse toggle will not work on the Fire TV home screen.

If you have the Fire TV Cube 1st Gen, you may struggle to get Mouse Toggle up and running. As usual I'm the only one with this issue apparently. I can activate the mouse easily but when i get out of the app activation page the mouse disappears. I can reactivate it again by double clicking play but all it does is disable the movement of the 4k max remote and no mouse appears. And yes i downloaded the correct 4k one from your site. Any ideas?
The Mouse Toggle only works and the pointer only appears when using compatible apps.
Went onto your channel to install a mouse toggle. The page shown in your video did not appear. Went to tool sign, but when l tried to get mouse toggle from there, all l got was 'ERROR: NO CONNECTION'. I have a strong wifi connection for my Firestick 4k Max. My vpn js 'Award VPN'.

Hi, still having issues and tried everything from your video.... running firestick 4K Max with gigabit ethernet connected. Not sure what else to check....
Another user commented that this did not work with a wired connection, but it worked when they switched to Wi-Fi.
Can you confirm that switching works for you too?

@@FireTVSticks Thanks for answering. But before asking, of course I followed your instructions before and since it didn't work for me I decided to ask you to see if you had another solution.
Sometimes it will NEVER change to "Started" (it just depends on the version you're using AND how it interacts with your device) ...
BUT, I have successfully used Mouse Toggle under this condition (i.e. I COULD get the 'circle cursor' to appear properly with the rapid double-click!). So, if you can get the cursor to appear, don't worry about the whole 'Starting/Started' issue.
Also, it's very hard to see the stupid cursor (why the developer didn't make it more visible, I'll never know!), so make sure you move the direction ring all around, especially up to the top, where the blue background will make it show up better!
If still no luck after doing all the things in the video ... make sure to 'RESTART' your Fire device!
I just had my Mouse Toggle stop working properly and did all the proper things (even 'uninstalling/reinstalling') and it would NOT function until I did the Reboot! This may save you a big headache. 😉

I’m having issues switching adb off and on. It doesn’t direct me to the setting from within the app.

mouse toggle 1.11 breaks my 5ghz speed on the firetv cube. My speed from isp is over 200Mbps but when I install mouse toggle 1.11 and check speeds it's only 7Mbps. Uninstall mouse toggle and reboot and speeds are back to 200Mbps+ On 2.4ghz connections there is no problem with the connection speed. This version of mouse toggle is the only one that works for me on the cube but the the speed problem kills it for me. Anyone know why this is happening?

Does Virus Total show a green tick? If it does, then it's likely to be a false positive.

I checked mine with Defsquid .It has red saying malicious. Dismiss
DefSquid may not be the best option for scanning for malicious files as it tends to be overly cautious and may not consider false positives.
@@FireTVSticks Thanks Tanya .It was showing some of my apps as malicious 4 times .These where app from you .Doc Squiffy and Kevin Portious .i deleated All of Kevin's and 2 from Doc .Would it be ok to use them they showed 2 on virus total on those i mentioned .

1st option mouse toggle for Android TV not working Plz make tutorial on that I used matvt mouse but it's little laggy
The Android TV version works with Android Boxes and Google TV.

It’s not working I got error P2 next to Starting
Please check which version you have installed as I think you have the wrong version.
Go to your Firestick Settings / Applications / Manage Installed Applications / Tap down the list to fin Mouse Toggle and highlight over it. On the right-hand side, you'll see "Version". If you have v1.06 or v1.5.2 installed, it is the incorrect version for Mouse Toggle.
Uninstall this version.
Open Downloader, type in 28907 and click GO.
Wait for my Downloads page to load.
Select TOOLS from the categories.
Tap down the list to find Mouse Toggle and select it.
Move down the screen until you see LIGHT BLUE download buttons.
Select the DOWNLOAD - FIRE TV 4K button and install the correct Mouse Toggle for your 4K Firestick.
