Debugging is confirmed ON, multiple reboots of FTVS, no success. Any idea what could be the problem? Can I check if any other App is using/blocking ADB?
Amazon just blocked apps from connecting to ADB locally. ADB connections can only be made from remote devices now. Many, many powerful utilities like this one are now dead.

This womt work anymore since the latest Firestick update blocked local ADB connections. This has made several if my apps now unusable. Absolute tossers.

There are scores of videos here on UA-cam showing you how to install Mouse Toggle on the Firestick but I couldn't find even one which acknowledges that Mouse Toggle simply doesn't work with Fire OS 8.1. You not only acknowledged the problem but provided a step by step fix. Thank you sooo much 👍👏👏👏

I suspect this method has been blocked by the recent Amazon updates which blocked local ADB access. You can still connect to ADB from another device but not from any app installed on the device itself. I have 7 FS4Ks, 2 Amazon Omni FireTV Editions sets, and one 2nd-gen FS4K Max, but Amazon just succeeded in pushing me to ONN boxes instead.

Any updates on custom launcher (launcher manager) for the 2nd generation fire sticks? Manage to install on a 2nd generation fire tv max but can't get it to work on other 2nd generation sticks..it flashes at the bottom some kind of error regarding package or something

It’s working🎉 but there’s a bug. When in mouse mode it doesn’t completely get out of Dpad mode. In mouse mode when we click on select, it clicks on last spot when dpad was disabled. How to turn that off?

You say you've got 'Unknown Sources' on .... but do you have 'ADB Debugging' toggled on?
