    Love cutting papaya in half, scooping out the seeds, and add mylk to make it like a papaya reverse cereal. I also like to bake the seeds and put it in a grinder as a black pepper substitute

      Oh what! Never thought to use papaya seeds like this! Trey my husband and I have tasted it and it is very peppery or a bit horseradishy so it makes sense

    I literally just ate a chocolatey confection much like your muffins! Oat flour and almond flour really work so well together. 😊 Baking with your heart is the way to go. 🌈🥰 And then the curries... love them! Never gets old for me. Can be made with so many different things.

    • @thehaipath
      @thehaipath  4 місяці тому +2

      Hello fellow large family it’s good to meet you! So Trey has an autoimmune condition and he is very sensitive to many foods so we stick to what he can eat and always follow the food combinations which is veggies go with proteins or veggies go with carbs. Carbs don’t go with proteins. This helps aid in digestion.
      He also does not eat wheat, pastas, those types of foods so we make dishes specifically for him daily!

    • @lindsaymckinnon2774

      @@thehaipath Thanks for the reply! I have autoimmune as well and have looked into this and just recently trying to eliminate wheat/ most gluten. If either of you have more to say on the subject, a video about this would be appreciated :)

    Thanks for sharing your lovely food 😊 Could you share the recipe for your quinoa crackers please . Does Trey eat different food to the rest of the family ?

    • @thehaipath
      @thehaipath  4 місяці тому +2

      Hello! We’re working on the crackers slowly, and yes Trey is sensitive to a lot of things so he does not eat as randomly as we do. He eats a set of vegetables and fruits and always within food combinations!

  • @alisonlutton9378
    @alisonlutton9378 5 місяців тому +1

    Yes, cracker recipe please, was that really just seeds plus blended cooked quinoa?

    • @thehaipath
      @thehaipath  5 місяців тому +2

      Hello Alison! Yes you blend up the quinoa with some water, salt and seasonings. Blend it into a paste with seasoning. Then you add the toasted seeds, spread it and roast until crispy!

  • @shess1640
    @shess1640 3 місяці тому +1

    it seems like Trey eats differently than the rest of your family. you prepare things for him but then make food for the kids and I think you eat what they eat. Or am I getting it wrong?
    The muffins and crackers look fantastic! And curry!

    • @thehaipath
      @thehaipath  3 місяці тому +1

      Hiya! Yes that’s exactly right I cook for Trey separately, he can eat some things we make like the curry which I try to include during our meal prep. However he’s on a strict diet due to his autoimmune condition, we made a whole video on his health journey and what he eats, check it out! Hi Rosa, NO it's not easy to go completely plant & vegan when someone like me grew up especially on seafood because my fathet wad a fisherman amongst other things. I liked papaya basically all fruits here in Jamaica. We've a fruit called NASEBERRY it's very sweet. That's really great curry you've there. Tell you what, i vn only used to eat a dish containing curried goat meat until you introduced me to curry chickpeas & Lentils.😊 I DON'T WANT TO SEE THE MUFFINS & OTHER BAKED THINGS. Mi gaune. Bye big up.

      Hi John! Oh papaya is one of our favorite fruits I grew up eating that in Southeast Asia oh I miss the food and fruits in Asian countries there’s so much variety and everything is so seasonal and fresh and cheap!
      We also grew up eating lots of seafood just like you! Goat curry is one of treys favorite curries we used to get it at an Indian place.
      So happy to hear you’re eating curry chickpeas and lentils!

    • @thehaipath
      @thehaipath  3 місяці тому +1

      Hello! Thank you for tuning in!
      The crackers start with soaking quinoa overnight. Once they’re done you drain and rinse and add to a blender with about half the amount of quinoa in water. Then you add seasonings and whatever nuts and seeds, spread them in cracker shapes, bake it in the oven at about 450 F for 5-10 mins and flip them if needed and bake again until crispy!
