    Recipes - We don't measure much in our home cooking but here's a guide for what we made to help you:
    Oatmeal:
    In a bowl add 3.5 cups rolled oats, 3/4 to 1 cup of coconut sugar, 1 pinch of salt, half a jar of apple sauce, 2 tsp cinnamon, 1 tsp clove, 1 tsp ginger, 1 can coconut milk, 1/2 can water. Mix and you can either add 1 tsp baking soda and bake in 350 F oven for about 30 mins or you can leave in the fridge as overnight oats.
    Pasta sauce:
    Add 1 lb frozen broccoli, 1 cup cashews to a pot and about 4 cups water and bring to a boil. Once it starts boiling, turn down to simmer and simmer for about 15 mins.
    Season the broccoli cashew mix with salt, onion powder, garlic powder, using a hand blender blend until smooth. Optional if you found the sauce is too liquidy, add some hemp seeds and sunflower seeds (which we did in our sauce)
    Season to taste and pour over pasta of choice. You can freeze these or keep in fridge for a week of meal prep!

    LOVE you guys!! I DID get my teen to layer a lasagna last night! Took that as a win! (It was Broccoli Mum’s potato lasagna, so no messing with pasta - but still!!! I’ll take any cooking involvement!) 💕

      @@thehaipath she posted it 2 day ago, it’s a lentil marinara blended then cooked in instant pot, then sliced potatoes, & cauliflower-carrot-potato cheese sauce. Makes a LOT of sense!!

    I love the way you allow children to cook and learn in the kitchen. American preschools of the mid 1900s included a woodworking corner with real tools and teachers took your approach: teaching how to use real kitchen and woodworking tools slowly, respectfully, guiding while letting each child learn at their own pace and making their own choices, handling a mess or mistake as part of the group process. You do a lovely supportive job of teaching us, too.❤

    How would you describe your cuisine ? Contemporary ? Fusion ?

    • @thehaipath
      @thehaipath  5 місяців тому +1

      Hello there! Well, I’d say we make home cooked food 😆 if I make curries I tend to lead towards Malaysian/singaporean style curry, if I make bolognese sauce I try to make Italian. I try to stay authentic to the culture so whatever the culture is I try to stick to that. But sometimes we mix it up like Mexican fusion, sometimes it can be a mix but I like to stay true to the culture as much as possible. What about you? What do you like to cook?

    Hi Rosa...love all the recipes...but will try soaking my quinoa. How many pounds of veg does Tres eat a day! LOL

    • @thehaipath
      @thehaipath  5 місяців тому +1

      Hello Mary! Lol! He probably easily eats about 3 lbs of salad for lunch and could probably polish off 3 lbs of roasted potatoes plus about a lb of veggies for dinner himself, not even kidding 🤣

      Apparently it has saponins which can cause bitterness and they need rinsing bare minimum

    Do you add anything to make the muffins rise, or any sweetener to nake them sweet?

    • @thehaipath
      @thehaipath  5 місяців тому +2

      Hi Kerry! For sweetener we use coconut sugar, for rise we use a combo of apple cider vinegar and baking soda. About 1 tbsp vinegar to 1 tsp baking soda. We don’t use baking powder so this is the combo we use. Are you planning on baking soon?

    I was born in 1951 (yes, I am OLD) and my mom kept me in the kitchen from the age of 5 (after I took the back off the TV and removed all the tubes....it's 1956 here) so I watched her and eventually she taught me...more or less....Jeekers I've taken too much time here.....sorry

    I watched your UA-cam video. Your every video is really awesome. But your channel and your videos expect more views and subs. I analyzing Your UA-cam channel and I found UA-cam video SEO is not done. This is why your video is not going viral and views are not increasing.
