It's refreshing to see the level of respect you treat your customers with. I haven't been to a guitar show but I been to a LOT of gun shows and some of the dealers are such douche bags I won't even look at their stuff.
I watched Daryl Hall's show recently and fell in love with the green Strat one of the house band was playing. Since then I have looked out for them in all the show vids. This is the first one I have seen of the right green, she's a beauty!
I live in reading, Pa. Can’t wait for the next philly expo show. Thanks for the videos!! Just bought a player strat hss. I’m older now and starting to play again. I’m looking for that vibroverb with a 15. 👀
I have an 82' American Fender Bullet S3, sunburst... Last year before it became a MIJ "Squier" Bullet. It's actually a phenomenal guitar. Slightly smaller Strat body, maple neck, Tele style headstock, one volume, one tone, string through hardtail bridge.
Another great video! I saw you guys there but didn't get a chance to say hi since I only had a couple hours to experience it all. Overall I really like the Philly Show, though I haven't been to many others, the prices though are just going through the roof lately. I picked up 2 guitars last year from the show there, there are some gems to be found. This past show had a great showing of oddball historic stuff, and some good finds in your wheelhouse. Glad you guys made out well!
Cool seeing the show I was also at last weekend. I bought a hardtail natural Strat at the Philly show. Looked like the one you picked up in Sarasota, FL. Thought it might be the same one, but then I saw you buy it in another of your video saying it was a 76 so I it wasn't mine. Looked just like it though.
I bought a 79 Strat just like the one you traded away about 28 minutes into this video. But mine is a hardtail. Fender must have been cranking those babies out.
I really enjoy watching these videos, and I'm especially curious about your guitar buying, trading, and selling philosophy. It would be interesting to see more in depth how you approach making deals.
6:16 Yamaha spotted!!! Seems like most of these conventions are loaded with Fenders and Gibsons. It's nice whenever vintage stuff from the other brands is showcased! By the way, have you ever been to the Guitars N' Cars show in Houston, TX? They team up with a charity that supports military veterans so not only are you getting to trade guitars and see some cool cars, but you're also helping out a great cause!
For sure! Always nice to see some different things. Haven't done that one. Have done Dallas and Arlington though. Someone was saying they used to so a similar concept here in FL. Might have to check that out in Houston
I got to try a burgundy Epiphone SG Prophecy with Fishman pick ups and that thing felt better than a a real Gibson and the sustain was crazy, it was going for $500 and sold fast at Music Go Round.
Hi Alex. Love your channel and store! Like you I have a 1996 Gibson Les Paul Special in Wine Red (the perfect guitar for me). I've been thinking about replacing the P-100's with Lollar High Wind P-90's or Fralin Underwound Hum Canceling P-90's. By changing the pickups from stock would doing so substantially lower the value? Thanks for any advice. Keep up the great content!
Hey! Thank you so much!! I would say putting a quality set of pickups like Lollars wouldn’t hurt the value! Just keep the originals around of course. More importantly though, if you’ll enjoy the guitar more with the new pickups that’s what matters!

Love the DC Les Paul TV Jr. @11:32. From the distance the video was taken, the color looks like a legit '58 to '60 model compared to the reissue guitars of the last decade or so!

Awesome!! Looking forward to next weekend. I'm gonna catch Saturday's show
Your knowledge about so many different brands from different eras is amazing!
I try! Still more to learn!
Very Cool, Thankyou. Awesome Show. Those Maestro Phase Shifters were amazing. Cheers
Love these guitar show videos. Thanks! :)
We'll keep em coming!
My fav videos to watch at the end of a long work week!!! Thank you for doing these!!!
Thank you for watching them! Glad you're enjoying them
@@aflashfloodofgear Wouldn't miss them for the world!!!
Yeah well said buddy 👍 I like to close my eyes and pretend I run a rad guitar store trading, selling and buying guitars. Lovely stuff

Love how you guy’s tell it like it is.
Didn't stop watching because I didn't wanna miss anything! Very cool!
You seem like good guys livin' your best life... I dig the vids and the vibe.. Kudos!
Love how this one turned out 👏
I think this was my favorite video yet!
These videos and channel are definitely fueling my guitar obsession to new heights haha
Glad we can help 😂

There’s Jeremy! What an awesome dude. Exudes kindness
Was great to meet him!
That green Strat is killer
Very thankful was able to get that one 🙌

That guy with all the pedals is great! Bought a couple from him at two different shows.

I just bought a 1981 "the strat" with a kahler and an early dimarzio hotrail in the bridge. It's so much fun
Great video guys, looks like it was a blast💙
Woah you were there
Great Vid------ Thx for posting!

LOVE the Red strat with humbuckers!
It's got quite the vibe!
Great video. I miss buying/selling/repairing/trading guitars. Best job I had
It's a good time for sure. Sorry to hear you're not doing that currently
I used to have a Maestro Phase Shifter years ago. Fun to see that.

So cool to see a Cyclone out in the wild. Have 3 of them. Fender's most underrated guitar.
Another great film. Really enjoy your guitar shows. White SG…
Wish I could have figured out a reason to grab that one
Good job guys 🙌
Great show. Went last year. Bummed I couldn’t make it this year.
If you make it next year and we're there, come say hey!
Great vlog loved it!❤
Thank you 🙏
Sick! Forgot I have one of those prophet sg.
Love the show

I’ve been going to Summer Philly for years, and the only thing you can expect is that it will get smaller every year.
I got to try a burgundy Epiphone SG Prophecy with Fishman pick ups and that thing felt better than a a real Gibson and the sustain was crazy, it was going for $500 and sold fast at Music Go Round.
Guitar shows are like museums. You see things that you forgot even existed.
For real! Lots of cool things to check out

@@aflashfloodofgear Good stuff, thanks for the reply!
you coming to the Indy Guitar show?
sorry I missed you! I go every year but this year I had things going on. The November show is the better show. More vendors there.
We're going to try to make it in November!
Sounds like you got some cool stuff. Did you end up making an offer on that red Cyclone?
Didn't end up with that one unfortunately 😭
Sherwood Green Strat for me.
Do you ever have any of your customers bring you things from other vendors for you to evaluate for them?
cool private jet😂
what model was the green strat at around 18 min?
If you keep watching for about 44 more seconds I go through the guitar and say the model haha
@aflashfloodofgear yeah, you say something. Then say it's a 62 reissue. What year was ? Or is that secret.

Alex does have beautiful hair tho.
dealer and guitar show pricing is always ridiculous.. always!
Everyone, including the show goers, always want the most money for their gear 🤷♂️
Where are all the Gibson melodymakers?
All in Philly apparently because there were quite a few there compared to other shows

I have mixed feeling about this show it’s pretty much a shadow of what they used to be. And some of the vender were downright rude!!
That's unfortunate. Seems like a few shows aren't what they used to be
Tell us about Rittenhouse guitars, there is very little information about these instruments.
