Nathaniel can make any guitar in that beautiful shop sound amazing. I love the vintage stuff, but truth be told, when he's playing, I don't care what it is. He's one of the most talented and versatile players on the whole of YT. What a treasure to our fair city. Cheers Team CME and thanks Nathaniel. You play so good, I never want to pick up one of my guitars again. LOL
Been watching this guy for a long time. What a great attitude! Every time it makes me walk over and play guitar even for just a minute. Inspiration doesn’t get much more organic than that. Music is contagious and a day changer when I’m in a rut.
Keep these episodes coming. Nice to hear an accomplished guitarist properly demonstrating guitars without relentless gain and distortion, which is common elsewhere. Next time I’m in Chicago I must visit the shop. It looks well-stocked with quality gear in a nice environment. Prices don’t seem unreasonable either!
If I owned any or all of them I'd give them away to be able to play like that. I've been at it since March of '67 and my arthritic old hands are on their way out. I thoroughly enjoy watching you play, thank you.
Show is spotless. Need more. Wicked playing. I hope to see you play some Jazzmasters. I never cared for them until I played some good ones and now I’m hooked.
Mate……… SO good to hear some absolutely stellar guitar playing. Beautiful work. Such a change to hear someone playing guitar WITHOUT OVERDRIVE shredding all over the place. Fabulous sir.
Hey CME management..... We're only here to see amd hear Nathaniel! He should have whatever authority he wants, and a raise. Keeping him on staff should be your #1 priority.
I started playing when I was 9 using my dads 330 Gibson Dot natural finish. When I turned 14 my dad took me down to the local Gibson/Fender dealer and bought me my first very own guitar. I was in shock to have my own guitar. I looked up at the wall of instruments and he said "i can make a suggestion'? They pulled down a sunburst Gibson 345 stereo guitar!! I fell in love with it for about a year, lol. Then I had to trade it for a Gibson Firebird because Johnny Winter was playing one. Big mistake. I'd give anything to have the 345 back. So much for being poor those days. I'm 71 years old now. Been playing all these years. In bands out of bands, recording in my little studio playing with most of the local guys. Been playing 60plus years and Nathaniel's been playing half that long and knows twice as much. Go figure. Just shows it's not how long you play but your level of talent and what you put into it. (Russell , Gainesville Florida.)
Love that 68 ES 335. Fantastic playing. I’ll be visiting CME tomorrow! Hey, Nathaniel, have you ever played a 1960’s Stradavox (Italian made ES 335 copy)? You’ll have your chance if you’re at the shop tomorrow!😊
The Rosewood Tele is approximately 0.73214286 stone😅 I've never thought that rosewood teles sound very good and neither did George. CME looks like a dream guitar shop to me🎸
Love hearing a Manc voice, and top playing as always! Next time: Nathaniel picks what he thinks is the prettiest guitar, a guitar he's never tried/heard of, guitar he'd hide from the boss.
11.45 passing up a chance to do Jesus Just Left Chicago - the right guitar in the right tuning, I think. Fantastic playing as always, and a fab video NM.
Price not involved…1. Strat!!! 2nd 71 tele! If I can only play like Nathaniel, any would do! Thanks for these. Keep ‘em coming. How about a long neck es 330 from late 70’s. I have one and can’t put it down…and it was a second. I’ll be damned to figure out why. ✌️❤️
Another one to consider is the LTD Te-200Dx. Outstanding playability and sound. CME did an outstanding job of prepping this guitar. After years of buying from Sweetwater, CME is now my go to store.
I had one of the 60th Anniversary Rosewood Telecasters. I was told it was made from copa bola. It weighed a ton, but sounded great. I had to sell it when my girl dog contracted cancer. She came first.
Amazing playing as always. What a pleasure to hear. I would love to have had any of those crazy good guitars. Now, if only I could play like Nathaniel......
I am still trying to get why he is working in a MUSIC STORE! He is probably one of the best guitarists on the TUbers. It is really crazy. At least pay him for what he is worth.LOL
Love the vintage stuff, however, I'd love to see a slightly more modern vintage, hopefully a PRS Modern Eagle 1! those have amazing tone and the Brazilian rosewood neck is amazing!
I don’t know his situation but if ya’ll not paying this man enough or at least providing him a substantial enough discount to be able to purchase one of these beautiful instruments for his own should be considered a travesty. I know the industry can be tough but get one of these in this man’s personal collection pronto! This cat is basically CME’s brand ambassador, do better.
He was just being cheeky. Check out this video of the store buying him a Gibson Custom Shop Noel Gallagher J-150, 1 of 200 - ua-cam.com/video/jCMSNq-NujY/v-deo.htmlsi=9oAsqRdvSKtTXp7t Employee discount is one of the best parts of the job!

He’s unreal hey
@@Telepkr what would you rate Nathaniel’s playing 1-10? It’s for a survey.
During the Beatles medley my guitars actually got up and walked out of the house.

Give him a pay rise CME!
The people have spoken!
@@chicagomusicexchange Give him guitars...
If not a payrise, pay for annual flight back 'ome to Ireland?
I involuntary smile and LOL when he suddenly launches into bluegrass one moment then classical rock next. Simply amazing player
Nathaniel is naturally gifted…he plays with amazing ease 🎸
Holy Moses that "Saw Her Standing There" lick... Amazing!!!!
Nathaniel, you should be traveling the world spreading music! Your unique and beautiful way of playing the guitar is incredible!
Loved how he casually switches the slide from 3rd to 4th finger and equally delivers killer lines. The man's a beast.

Great, great, wonderful, marvellous, fantastic, awesome, brilliant, unbelievable...what a guitarist.
Thanks for watching! 🤘
So grateful I’ve been here, I played a vintage tele in a quad reverb, coolest experience ever
If I owned any or all of them I'd give them away to be able to play like that. I've been at it since March of '67 and my arthritic old hands are on their way out. I thoroughly enjoy watching you play, thank you.
Nathaniel is one of my favourite new era guitarrist, his dynamics and melodies are insane and seems to be a nice guy
Bought a 1968 Gibson SG Special at CME back in 2013 and took it with me to Germany. Still love the guitar.
Love to hear that!!
Show is spotless. Need more. Wicked playing. I hope to see you play some Jazzmasters. I never cared for them until I played some good ones and now I’m hooked.
Fantastic vid, amazing guitars, amazing playing, absolutely love that Tele.
I wish I could “butcher” Knofler like that. Awesome video loved that Strat though! Sounds amazing!
Nathaniel's definition of "butchered" is different than most lol

Absolutely, you took the words right out of my mouth 🤙
Nathaniel is a fabulous player and his accent is to die for. I saw his interview with Rick Beato so he’s obviously a good salesman as well.
Nathaniel is a great asset to the business. When I hit the lottery I'll buy myself and him his choice.

@@chicagomusicexchange Yes, and he is bringing in views and sales. Clearly he wotks for smart ass dousche bags.

If there was any justice in this world, you would be a flipping millionaire. Your playing is astonishing.
Those O.G. Sheraton’s are overlooked. Sorely under represented.
What a player this man is. Amazing.
Redoinkulous how good that Nat is !!!!
Wow ... outta my price range ?
I love how no matter how perfect these guitars are, the comments are all about how amazing Nathaniel's playing is really. The guy is a beast
That take on All My Loving was worth the video, goosebumps! Great playing, great guitars!
Idk what sounds better. Hearing his voice so much or the guitars 😮
This Dude is a heckuva player!! That SG sounded killer
Nathan is absolutely the beat guitarist I have ever heard. I would love to see him do some Tom Petty stuff on a Ric 360. Thanks!
The Tele @6min is just amazing..
The SG was just crazy, reminded me of Derek Trucks with the slide
Fantastic playing, those harp harmonics were pristine, you should be very proud of your ability
Absolutely charming old 335 along with the guitfiddling. Thank you, Nathaniel.
Love hearing a Manc voice, and top playing as always!
Next time: Nathaniel picks what he thinks is the prettiest guitar, a guitar he's never tried/heard of, guitar he'd hide from the boss.
We were hoping someone would notice! lol
CME knows his value! That’s why they gave him a killer guitar in a recent episode!
Waiting patiently for some surf music from Nathaniel. The long version Beatles montage is stupid good.
This guys a master player..Someone sign him up..

The Rosewood Tele - that sound 👍
Wow, amazing playing! That strat at the end was off the charts cool. Sounded absolutely amazing.
8:15 I need tabs for that arrangment of In My Life!!!!!
The Beatles medley was insane 🙌🏻
The Mark knopfler part: respect! RKID!
Blonde for me. What a smasher, the neck pick up and the humbucker were both fantastic.. nice playing mate, I’ll start saving for a mortgage😂
Your an inspiration. Love to hear you play
So many thumbs up for this man !! 🇨🇦🏍️
Great playing ! I'd take the '71 Tele with humbucker. A rosewood Tele would be way too heavy ; reason George gave his one away. Cheers.
Sultans of swing cover was epic 🔥🔥🔥
Brilliant playing. Absolutely excellent. Great lad too.
Thanks for watching! 🤘🤘
Amazing playing as always. What a pleasure to hear. I would love to have had any of those crazy good guitars. Now, if only I could play like Nathaniel......
I would love to see a demo of either of the vintage Guild Starfires you have in stock. Either the II or the III would be great!
My 1961 Les Paul sideways vibrola stats in tune and I use the vibrola all the time. Not heavy bends but for shimmery effect
Great playing. Love that blonde tele. 👍
That slide playing inspired me holy damn. Want to start a petition for him to own that sg😏
The strat with the secret sauce switch was awesome once engaged. Great picking!

@@chicagomusicexchange vintage jazzmaster or jaguar. thanks!

Yes! Kettle was on and cup of tea ready as soon as I saw this episode up! More Geoff!!! Legend….sold me too many guitars 😅
The '64 Selmer Strat in the middle position did it for me.
Is there any kind of music Nathaniel Murphy can't play? I love his use of harmonics.
What a player you are Nathaniel. I’d pick the 71 Tele.
good pick!!
Mate, I can't believe you began with Wish Upon - Respect.
One of my favourite guitarists, thanks nathaniel, you inspire me
‘68 they put a gibson sonic boom logo on the pickguards. Have one on my j45 but never seen one on a 335, very cool
man, this guy can play!
Fantastic guitars and Nathaniel is a helluva player 🎸Out of my price range ( and Nat’s too ) and wrong side of the pond 🤣
Just bought my 1st vintage guitar...a 1968 Melody Maker SG type. I'm super stoked to have a 56 yr old guitar I can make music with!
