It's as if generation X wasn't born. It's as if Eddie Van Halen didn't exist. He must have a time machine to go back and get these things from the dawn of time.
How would you like us here at Gibson to finish your guitar? We have six almost completely different colours to pick from, and they are called Cherry Red, Cherry Red, Cherry Red, Cherry Red, Cherry Red, and Cherry Red.....
I have a 1959 les paul and a 1960 standard. Back in the 1980s they were dirt cheap and nobody wanted them. I picked up a 1964 Gibson SG special for $2,800 just last year. These old and valuable guitars are still out there. BUT GUITARS MADE IN THE 1970 BY GINSON SUCK ASS.
I played a 52 Les Paul with the trapeze tailpiece & it must have been a later 52 because the gold was a brighter hue but it was an outstanding guitar. My favorite is the 53 refinished in red

What Gibson guitars! I love the Cardinal Red Gibson's! Great unboxing! First time viewing your channel. I really enjoyed your presentation. I subscribed. Greetings from Hollywood, California!
Really enjoyed watching this. I bought a Fender Custom Shop 52 heavy relic telecaster off you two weeks ago which I love (even though my dad commented that it looked like I had pulled it out from a skip!). Ps thank you so much for the free calendar!
I thought I’d hate the cardinal red on the les Paul but it looks fantastic! Very interested to know more about it, hopefully you can film your research process, would make a fascinating video.
Well I was sold on the red ES330 but then the Re-fin Les Paul trumped that and then the red ES225T floored me. Hitting the park out of the ball guys, hitting the park out of the ball ❤
The 70s refinished Goldtop gets my vote but how well does a wrap tailpiece intonate? I suspect it's the luck of the draw and you'd have to adjust your playing style to accommodate life beyond the 12th fret. Once Bonamassa gets wind of those two Cardinal Red ones he'll be straight over here.
Actually we do not have a refinished 70’s Goldtop. Maybe you mean the 1971 which isn’t a refin. They generally intonate very well as long as they are not too worn.
Nice ☺️ video, the only thing was that you didn't tell 😭 us the prices as you unbox them. I remember one time I was in a designer shop with my girlfriend and wanted to get her something special 😻 for her birthday and someone said to me after enquiring about the cost, that if I had to ask that I wouldn't be able to afford it. I was merely trying to ascertain the relevant information. Thanks.
Great video! How do you sleep at night with all those treasures? Seems that for those of us who can only salivate more videos starring your amazing stock would earn many " hits". Thanks.
Aspen Pittman, whom I knew starting in 1973 when we both worked at Acoustic Control, collected mic’s. He had some amazing mics! One of them was used my Barbara Streisand for decades. Great show! I love the Red Les Paul! Cheers!
@@ATBGuitars ...it,s one of my life regrets ...it was on consignment at Westside Music for £250, and at 17-18 I couldn,t convince my parents! I,ve questioned what I saw ever since - I,d played a Gold Top Deluxe already and it looked nothing like that - but this had a much smaller headstock, unbound neck and dot markers and lyre type bridge set up, almost unrecognisable by comparison. Very shortly afterwards, I went up to London to art college and found similar in Denmark St for 2500k
...love all the guitars you unboxed especially the 330s and the SG Junior - bought a rough but unbroken 64 Junior in about 2004 for £850 and sold it again a couple of years later for not much more ...another BIG regret ...the market has changed dramatically
Hey Mike, I really enjoyed the video…unboxing vintage gear is so much more interesting (not the typical PRS). Didn’t they make a couple of ES-295’s in ‘55-‘56 in that cardinal red color?
This video appeared in my feed, never heard of your channel or shop before. Genuinely interesting and unpretentious. Subscribed, Shame I can't afford any of these lovely instruments
Fantastic 👏 Hugely entertaining thanks to the educational aspect. I'm a complete novice and find to learn so much from these unboxing vids. If you haven't already done any, I'd love to see an "on the bench" episode where you guys go through the authentication part. Loved all guitars, they all had something special and I'm hoping to be soon in the market for a LP or SG junior player grade or a 330. Definitely need to visit and try some out to see what clicks with me. Thank you Mike and team and looking forward for more 👍
Greatly appreciated your time this week when I called in with a couple of my guitars. Was great to see many of these in person. That Junior could certainly tell some stories I'm sure, nice weight to it and I bet sounds great straight into an old school amp.
Wonderful guitars but I've seen many high-profile guitar channels say that the guitar "comes from a rock star... but we can't tell you who" as if it's a matter of national security (not to single out ATB - it is not limited to them) and then offer clues as to where it came from. If the seller wishes to remain anonymous I respect that - and there's no need to mention it. If they don't care then spill it. It's like watching a reality show with superfluous, scripted drama added.
I usually can’t stand unboxing videos but for you guys I will always make an exception!

Pick only one ? OMG !! That's like which arm do you want to lose ..Ha !! Unbelievable connection I'm sure for those two guitars.....Cheers !!

that junior looks like it never left the case!! :O
Which guitar don't I want. I'll take em all LOL🎸🔊🇺🇸
Love this program and love the two red guitars at the end!!
Amazing unboxing - the two red Gibsons are fantastic! I would love to know more of their histories!
Thanks for the lefthanded Telecaster ❤
You've many amazing instruments, but those Cardinal Red ES and Les Paul are just amazing.
Great acquisitions, congrats on your finds.
Thank you kindly!

The Junior! Just let me find my check book.........

I'M A lefty 🎉😢😮
I'm such a looser. My OCD made me find out who's SG that was.
Did you figure it out? I’m at a loss.
who is it
In to deep made me think Sum 41
@@iwillnevergetone5 Deryck Whibley from Sum 41.
Haha! Well done for finding out.
Barrie Cadogan would love those 330s!

I liked all of them ;)
Fave is the 52 with the diagonal screws.
I'd love to receive that Christmas card. Cheltenham - Brian Jones' home town, yay : )
It’ll probably be in an electronic form rather than a physical form factor. We’ll probably post it on our SM channels so please stay tuned!
Best unboxing I’ve seen in ages! Beautiful guitars one and all👍
Wow, thanks!
A stunning collection, including one in the background that kept grabbing my attention - what appears to be a Martin D-45!
Great video guys….my favourite was the Les Paul Junior that’s able to tell its own life story…😎👍
Thanks. It sure has some character!
I thought I’d hate the cardinal red on the les Paul but it looks fantastic! Very interested to know more about it, hopefully you can film your research process, would make a fascinating video.
We will see what we can do….
Amazing guitars, Wow! The cardinal Red Les Paul is amazing.
Yes, it sure is!
Nice work! Put some short playing Demos up ;)

I see a new ATB video. I click like before I watch. ❤
Thanks
Jeezzz , those ES 330 beauties ! Keep em coming : )
More to come!
That lefty Tele does it for me ❤
Big necks that everybody likes?
No no no no!
True… not everyone 😊
Wow !!! Your channel is AWESOME !!!! Just subscribed. My favourite UA-cam Channel ❤️. Love that red Les Paul with the P90s 👍🙏🎸
Thanks for the sub!

Good point but we have not yet finalised pricing on most of these.
Do you think he knows what this is?
Whats the story on that green strat ?

Cool. Thanks for sharing!
.. I remember clearly seeing one of those 52 gold top Les Pauls with unbound neck and dot markers ...in Yeovil, Somerset in about 1974/75?
You should have bought it!

I have a new FAV that 225 is the coolest love singles and birdlands ( love the motor city mad mans Birdlands )
We love that 225 too!

Yes they did but not Cardinal red, more like cherry red. We sold one a few years ago.

Awesome, thank you!
The ‘64 Jr is amazing!
It’s a stunner!
That Gold Top LP just looks all wrong to me. But then, I know nothing about these 50's axes
First 100 do look a little strange compared to later ones.
Wow! All those guitars look awesome
Glad you like them!

I really love the 1959 Gibson ES -225T!
Beautiful color! Beautiful guitar!
It sure is 👌
Mary and Les divorced in 1964, not 1960, but I think they were on the skids as early as 1960, so the lack of branding may be legit 🤷
Made in my home town. vary cool 👍
Great 👍
the last two look like twins! (colorwise)
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL COLLECTION...THANK YOU..!!!
Thanks for watching!
The 330's for me.
Good choice 👍 Both already sold.
That 60 SG was really cool! Also loved the red ES 330. Actually I loved them all, what a spectacular bunch of guitars!!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks for visiting, it was good to see you and yes, that Junior rocks!
The red les Paul is wow no words just mouth open❤
Loving those 330's ......
Beautiful finds, someone will be happy to buy those, excellent examples indeed.
Thank you
Any Les Paul Jr Works For Me eh! Awesome Job!
They are all good as David points out!
Where do you even find a collection like this??
It is not from one collection it is from various purchases I have made over the last couple of months from all over the world.
WOW... JUST WOW!
You must have spent a fortune on that lot. Nice guitars!
Thanks 🙏 they were not cheap!
Really love all your videos guys! Greetings from sunny Brazil :)
Thank you and greetings back from a very cold Little Shurdington !
I will be visiting my daughter in London mid 2024, maybe you guys are so kind as to accept me for a visit 😜
I bet the red looks even better in person…enjoyed them all!!
It sure does.
Dude needs to show some respect and take his rings off when handling someone else's future guitar.
Jealous because you don't have a nice guitar, and no-one will marry you.
Yeah, I heard that ring "clack" and cringed!
Great video. Awesome guitars.
Thanks 🙏
That red 225 is awesome!
Sure is!
Love this. Superb guitars on show, thanks.
Our pleasure!
Those chibson guitars look so real!

There’s no secret about who this belonged to. We just wanted to tease a bit… 😀
@@ATBGuitars I accept that. 🙂
I would be afraid to own any but the Strat.
