Really impressed of the subway station and trains - clean, fast, and affordable (can’t imagine it only costs 35 rmb, or less than $6, for the 50 km train ride with a speed up to 160 km/h). Also happy to see that the digital rmb has already been included as a payment method. 👏
Liked the video. For me , Shanghai Maglev train was the fastest ever for travelling from the city and back at Max speed 431 km/hr. I experienced upto 300 km/hr in January, 2020. This is also good though. Thanks for the video.
@@walkforyou6047 I wouldn't qualify this as a subway though because of its speed, function, price, or seating. Because of these combined, to me it looks more like a commuter rail
The good thing about daxing airport is that both subway and high speed train connect to it from different parts of Beijing. I went to daxing airport with high speed train 3 years ago before covid, it was awesome.
At Caoqiao station, were those support columns supposed to be lotus-shaped? They were beautiful, especially with that purple lighting. The décor of the metro stations in China are really impressive. They seem like nice places to be and very quiet, unlike in the US where, if stations exist, they are often very utilitarian, ugly, loud, and unkempt. It's inspiring to see what China has accomplished and still doing. It gives me some hope that a better future for the world may yet be possible. I hope China is as good at maintenance as construction. Thank you for making these infrastructure videos.

Did you have to use your ticket to exit? Moving at 160k / 100 mph seems creepy fast to me. Is it an exhilarating feeling your body experiences at high speeds? I liked being able to close the curtain on the window. Can those with low scores buy tickets for this train? Those are the ones that really have to walk from what I understand, at best taking the bus. Is that true?
160K feels normal. Maglev, which goes over 400 km/hr is kind of scary, especially when you pass a train going same speed the other way. It is like a stress dream I have of being on an airliner that can't gain altitude.

@@walkforyou6047 The subway from Manhattan doesn't go all the way to Laguardia. You have to transfer to a bus. There is no business class. If you want business class you need to take a taxi or an Uber or hire a limo. These cost a lot of money and they usually get stuck in a traffic jam.
