Beijing Daxing International Airport, also known as Beijing New Airport, is the biggest airport in the world.
It is also the second international airport of Beijing along with Beijing Capital International airport.

The gigantic Daxing airport, with the impressive shape which has given it the nickname “Starfish”, has enormous dimensions.
There are currently 4 runways (with the prospect of becoming 7 in the future) and a vast terminal building covering a 700.000m² area while the ground transportation center extends to 80.000m².

For the time being, Daxing Airport has four runways and 79 airport stands.

Since the airport has recently opened, the number of daily flights is still limited.

Subsequently, in August 2018, Hong Kong design studio Lead 8 undertook the design of the new commercial terminal which is anticipated to respond to every passenger’s needs.

I’m from Beijing, and I’ve been to Beijing Daxing Airport several times to pick up friends. The deepest impression left me here is the robot parking lot. You park your car at the door, and the robot will park your car in the parking space until you come back. , The robot will send your car to your side. In addition, the entire airport covers 5G signals. I don’t know that there is an airport in the world that is comparable to Beijing Daxing International Airport. Compared with the airports in more than 10 European countries and Asia-Pacific countries that I have visited, it is completely two centuries apart.

Like other ancient north Indians and modern day fair skinned Indians especially north Western Indians he was of scythian/ indo European Caucasian descent a fact which is the only reason many right wingers from the west like India and wants us to be their puppet. Boddhidharma was referred to as a blue eyed barbarian by the Chinese since Caucasians were unfamiliar in ancient China.
What I and many Indians wish is that India should stop being a Sheriff of the West and ally with its ancient friend and neighbour. Believe me that we Indians too have a potential to be advanced. Many modern satellite cities are coming up in India which are almost similar to Shanghai and Chengdu in all aspects. But at the same time there is poverty. Actually we are a nation with a diverse ethnicities , cultures and histories. Our history is rooted in foreign invasions like China. Therefore we must ally again and cooperate with each other hand in hand like our ancestors dud in ancient world when India and China were at the top of the world. Both of us have made achievements in science and have a successful industrial and research sectors. If we cooperate we can teach the Western World a lesson. The future should belong to both of the two Asian giants. I will be glad if a Greater Pan Asian sphere is formed. We are both Asians, we are brothers.

I went to Beijing in 2009. Seems like the capital has completely transformed in the span of 12 years. Previously, I thought the Hong Kong airport might be the best, but now I see that it’s no match compared to this one. Love from Australia :)

I can safely say that many Malaysian Chinese (about the same size as HK's population) wanted to migrate back to China if they are not restrained in Malaysia whether financially or otherwise given minorities are unfairly treated as second class citizens and their economic, social and political rights and opportunities significantly denied. Fun fact: in 2020 china installed more wind turbine capacity than all other countries combined. Enough to power Britain 3x over. And that's just wind turbines alone. Don't get me started on hydro, solar, nuclear, etc.

After March, Daxing Airport woyld be twice busier than today.

I travelled to the US a few years ago and went through several airports, including New Orleans and LAX. The government there needs to spend more money on infrastructures than on military expansion.

You won't be able to appreciate the long term vision of the Chinese leadership unless if you've witnessed the vote bank politics and the chaos around elections every five years in a diverse country like India. In Tamil Nadu, the state where I live, it's election time right now and the leading parties are offering cash for votes, can you believe it?!
It's not that I want to put down my own country, but when I see how China has progress, I see what India could have been with a better system and what India could be if we can mend our ways and design a better system for ourselves and not just copy the West. I am not saying the Chinese system is perfect, but I can clearly see that the Chinese political system has worked much better than India's.
So when I say I appreciate the long term vision of the Chinese leadership, I really mean it. And it's not just the leadership, but also the hard work of the common Chinese people that should be appreciated.
I had been to Beijing 2 to 3 times. My last visit to Beijing was 2017 for conference. I was impressed how big and clean the airport was in 2017. Beijing city was also clean. In summary, Beijing was completely different decades ago.

Absolutely amazing! As much sculpture than architecture. As an engineer and builder I can't figure how they managed to prepare drawings for the contractors of such fluid structures. And the details of surfaces and finishes on those soaring heights that can be cleaned and maintained. Way beyond anything I have seen in the west. Impressive, almost worth a visit just to experience the terminal.

I remember ~35 years ago sitting on a bare concrete floor in Beijing's old Capital Airport. Waiting for a cancelled or delayed CAAC flight, nobody knew. Quite a bit of progress, and a lot more traffic.

I may never stepped foot into this airport. But I was at a airport in Beijing for sure one time and I’m just shocked at how much changed compared to the infrastructure development in the US. Came here from the Fuzhou video you had and rust of your work is just the same. Really helps me to see what happened in the last few years when I left china

@@franciscogil6798 U.S. has know this for some years now, they clearly haven't put technology and infrastructure as a priority the past 20 to 30 years. Hopefully that will change soon though, there can be some nice major upgrades that are much needed.

The Epic Central Axis of Beijing straight line at 4th floor.
This Airport is at same axis line to Yongdingmen, Tian An Men, Jingshan, Drum Tower+Bell Tower, National Stadium(Bird Nest)

the Axis line you metioned is called longmai, the dragon link of China, which is believed related to destiney of whole nation
