It looks like well designed for such a large space. Normally, one would need trams from concourse to concourse, and this is all within walking distance due to its star shaped building. Of course, that'd mean large real estate land size to host it, and it means transport between airport to the city must be efficient. These things cost a lot of money and need technology like bullet train to make it happen.
Nice architecture! I transited at PEK (Capital) a few times. Transfer was very easy there for a quick connection on Air China. At PVG (Pudong) it was a bit more complex, but I liked it very much because I had a huge advantage there that I had lots of time to take the subway into the city during my layover and still make it back to the airport in time for the next flight. I hope I can transit through Daxing some day, or better yet, just arrive there and stay in Beijing for a while. Otherwise on the Mainland I've been through Qingdao Liuting, since replaced by Jiaodong (hope you can film that one too). Xiamen Gaoqi, still in use, maybe not as modern, but very friendly and great atmosphere, and Shanghai-Hongqiao, I love fairly compact, very busy and close to the city.
the airport is built to handle 70 million passengers per year, and has the single largest terminal of any airport in the world. it has a star shape with minimises walking distances

The airport is huge, but also cold, and institutional. I flew in and out of there on China Air and I will try to avoid flying in and out of China. The security check was extreme on a connecting flight from the US to Manila with a stop in Beijing. I found the employees to be unfriendly and I was surprised that they charge $20 US per person to take you on a cart from the main area outside internal screening to your boarding gate. Pay or risk missing your flight. This is a take it or leave it experience at it's best.

China is a socialist country. That means the gap between the wealthy and the poor is considerably smaller than that in the western economies. When China develops the state is getting richer and the public buildings, infrastructure, train stations, metro systems, parks and public transport will get better and modernised. In the US the top 1% has the same wealth as the bottom 90% so no one can see how the top 1% lives. In China the state is now rich and that is now reflected in the public buildings. This fits in well with "together for a shared future" and "common prosperity" now increasingly used.
@@anitathakur9340 I bet you have never been to China and stay there for more than two weeks or have read the constitutions of the CPC!
