Sound Design - Deep Reese Bass Tutorial
Вставка
- Опубліковано 29 тра 2020
- In this video, I show you how to create a deep, thick Reese bass which will set a powerful foundation for your track. This versatile patch can go from clean and deep all the way to growling and bright. I'll show you how to make it and fine-tune it in this sound design tutorial.
When designing basses, it is helpful to listen on Headphones and Studio Monitors as this will give you a more accurate understanding of the tone and texture of the sound.

How to mak....

Here you go....
Exactly!!
I was literally hoping that you'd make a tutorial on how to design reese bass. You've made my day and my week. Appreciation all the way from South Africa 🙏🏾.
I’ve learned more from In The Mix in the past few months than I have in almost 4 years messing with a DAW with no prior knowledge.
Thanks for always getting straight to the essentials.
You're amazing, and thank you for sharing your knowledge with the world. You're truly changing lives in these dark times. You may think a simple reese tutorial is nothing, although acquiring knowledge can lead to someone having days of happiness. Thank you.
I just hit the like button before seeing that's because I know you will never fail me🙏 thanks for helping the community 💪❤️
Same.. coz I know this guy will surely give something that I surely need!!
same and it shock me
same
This is just the most delightfully wholesome sound design. I love it. It’s still educational, engaging, and I love that you show that there are still a lot of options
Sound design tutorials are the ones that make us use our creativity the most! Music is not only about using presets, it's also about creating your own sounds, which is harder to learn, but leads to incredible results.
Ok
@@louishope7656 Your comment made my day
Always wanted a good Reese bass, thank you👏🏼
Dude I tell you. I subbed a while ago and really love your content. TodayI needed a Reese Bass and today you posted exactly what I needed. It was destiny ;) .Thank you man!
Even after producing for 2 years and being a fairly experienced musician I still find a ton of useful stuff out of this guy's tutorials. Very cool
These sound design tutorials are amazing, keep doing them! Often I hear sounds I like in music, but generally I have no idea how to recreate them.
Sir, i am following you since 2 years and this lockdown gave me real chance to see your videos carefully and actually puting everything to test I am really very happy my songs are improving day by day its getti soothing to ears, no problem with bass getting distorted, new ideas, new creation. Thank you for putting this content for free with all my heart I appreciate you for making tutorial videos. I am sounding better with the songs I produce probably a little more practicing and will be good to put my songs on streaming sites.
Every video keeps getting better and better! Thank you for this content!
I love the look of KNOWING he made a good sound at 3:35 - he is so humble but when you hit it just right..... you know. I learn so much from this guy. Ty.
A gorgeous sound and great step-by-step instructions. Thanks for sharing!
That last message was inspiring, soothing and refreshing. Musicians should remember that production is art.
I feel like lately the trend is LOTS of stereo bass info that would never translate in a club system, maybe because no one is going to clubs anymore and it's better to just give people great headphone/car listening experiences. mono compatibility is becoming increasingly irrelevant, only stores and bad phones don't have stereo systems
I think it also has to do with a misconception on what 'keep the bass mono' is meant for. It's a good idea to keep frequencies in the low end mono (and controlled!) in that sense because that doesn't translate well anyway (you don't really perceive sub bass for example as very directional). But that's not the same as keeping all bass instruments full frequency in mono. A bit of wideness in the lower mids of bass synths and such sounds great!
You should still care a bit for mono compatibility. Many people own bluetooth speakers that play music in mono.
I mean, simple M/S EQing go a long way and it's rather quick.
Cant you just fix that by having club systems force the bass into mono?
I always thought the reason for mono bass was to do with vinyl pressing being physically incompatible with stereo bass? Most club systems run mono anyway asfak
Gold stuff as usual man. 🙏🏼
Thx
That helped a lot!
I was using presets and tried to make my own but never really new how to make a good Reese bass
1. like btw
I've been following this channel for a while already, but these synth sound design vids are my favorite thing you've done. I'm trying to incorporate more synths into my songs (indie rock I'd say) and while I often have the sound I want in my head, I can't always get it with my synth. This really helps me to understand the instrument more and more.

You are literally the best man I love you

That was really helpful!
Awesome tutorial 🔥
Just what i needed
So nice explanation! Thank you sir!
Very well explained 😉✌🏻 thanks man
Awesome bro!
It actually really help me thx for the help
good choice of wavetables but i would cut the lowend and replace it with a subbass and "direct out" it... it doesnt change the sound alot but makes it much cleaner because its mono below ~150 hz
Good idea
You can also use maximus or other plugins where you can manipulate single frequency ranges. In maximus, you can just take the low frequency band and put it to mono. Mitght be better, might be worse, depending on what you tryna get.
@@xFanXAnime A sub is more predictable, but I also use maximus sometimes to make the bass mono
I’d suggest using A1STEREOCONTROL it has the option which is called “safe bass” and anything below 150 will be left in mono but you can adjust it however you want to
Finally💜🔥🔥🔥🔥
I loved your sound design tutorial so much and is very helpful.
