      They are nice but I don’t know if they are worth it. I still use my HS8s quite a bit. They are the 8inch Sam ones

      @@iwrwr I really appreciate the support! They are nice monitors, but I don't know if they are as nice as the price tag warrants if that makes sense. I like my monitors to be really unflattering, like an NS10, and these have a little more hyped sound than I would like.

    Awesome sound design vid! But how do I get a clean rumble on my 808s I add distortion using either phat FX or stock distortion but I feel like my 808s always get lost in the mix

    • @EchoSoundWorks
      @EchoSoundWorks  3 роки тому +1

      Hey thanks! Do you have a multiband distortion or saturation plugin? That's the easiest way to do it. You can drive the mid and high frequencies without touching the sub range

    I've been working on a dnb track with some heavy neuro basses and I've been struggling with getting their movement right. I've got two saw waves one of which is shifted up a semi tone to get that pulsing effect but it feels too slow and when they cancel each other out it loses its power. Any tips? Is there any way to tempo sync the phase cancelation?

    • @EchoSoundWorks
      @EchoSoundWorks  3 роки тому +3

      Are they serum presets? You could send them to me and I will see what's going on.

    • @ConnorTostevin1
      @ConnorTostevin1 3 роки тому +2

      You could try tweaking the saw waves until you get the desired speed/movement on your ROOT bass note, record that 1 note for 8-16 bars,(you want it to be long) bounce to audio and then resample in quick sampler, this way you know the root know has the correct movement and when you go up or down a note or octave the speed will changed in a fixed more controlled way, hope that made sense.

    • @colincosta-walsh2160
      @colincosta-walsh2160 3 роки тому +1

      @@ConnorTostevin1 I hadn't thought of resampling but that makes perfect sense. Thanks!

    • @ConnorTostevin1
      @ConnorTostevin1 3 роки тому +1

      @@colincosta-walsh2160 this is similar to the way older DnB producers processed reece basses, you can go in and add more drive and filters in the sampler and also try doing a bandpass filter with some reverb for intro's or breakdown, a Hall reverb Low passed works great on reece basses, but try stuff out you will know what sounds right!
