Fine by me, Mike, especially if they're going to be as valuable as this one! Recently downloaded Vital & Hybrid and could tell Vital was going to be better for bass sounds so this is perfectly timed!
exactly. i see producers eq’ing low end out of instruments all the time but they never explain why they do it and how it helps the overall mix, so frustrating.
Sound design knowledge is what your music turns into authentic :) I guess a balanced understanding of how to produce, engineering and sound design is the key to be able making great stuff! 🥳
I just can’t believe both this great synth and the amazing lessons are free for everyone to access, at this point there are no excuses if you want to learn sound design ⚡️🎹 Thank you so much!
Dude. I have a master's degree in physics and I am a high school teacher. Your are one of the best teachers on youtube. Seriously, I learned a lot from you today, not just about how to make a bas s sound in vital but what the synth controls actually DO. Thanks.
Just got around working with Vital last month. This video is super helpful. Also appreciate the detailed explanation about Vital in your earlier video. Thank you.
The first time I heard about this plugin, I was really unsure to use it. But then I compared it to Serum and I can say this is a really great alternative for if you can't afford Serum 👌🏽
Been using FL for over a decade and have learned more in one week watching your videos, than in the entirety of my time producing!! HUGE thanks to you, sir!!

I was playing guitar for about 3 years before I actually “learnt” to play guitar. I’ve been making music for years now but always struggled with bass. Now I feel I can actually make a bass sound and know what and why I’m doing, the explanation in this video is great. Even when you’re mentioning another video you’re explaining it perfectly. Not enough of that about
Thank you for this incredible tutorial, Michael, but especially for the tip about using distortion and EQ to get lower basses to cut through on smaller sound systems. I've really been trying to focus on making music better for phone and laptop speakers, and I did come across the use of distortion and other techniques, but no other video has explained these concepts in as concise and clear a manner as you have. Aside from that, the abundance of other tips included in this other video (e.g., using the "Phase" function to cut down on pops and clips) are incredibly helpful as well. Thanks again! :)
I've been searching for a good synth to make growls with and found it because of Michael (Thank you for making such great tutorials for us) . And let's all thank Matt Tytel for making such a great synth for free for us to use.

I was really expecting this video, and finally its here! It would be great if the entire sound design series of yours would have a Vital version for free users.
This was really helpful, thank you! It's great to see a video that explains the common, basic steps you take with immensely flexible tools like Vital. I knew how all the parts worked, but not the common ways people chain them together to make the basic sounds we all recognize.
Excellent video! I appreciate people like you, to take the time to make a well informed, quality video. I was trying to explain to my brother the impact of an 808 kit on music but couldn’t adequately describe its sound. You more than adequately demonstrated its use and it’s sound in a way that made me appear smart in relation lol
It's insane how perfectly timed this video is. I'm working on a track for someone who want's that synth sound. And I didn't have a plugin to deliver it. This is exactly what I needed. Thank you!
I just downloaded Vital, and this channel is incredibly helpful. You're videos are VERY high quality. I particularly appreciate that you show how one parameter can change the sound by moving it back and forth before you settle on a value.
Thanks, it's a good idea to watch it when you are at your computer so you can follow along with Vital open. You might even find some better bass sounds by experimenting alongside the video :)
