I remember when Bobby and his brothers Ralph and Ronnie used to play Rush sons in their home. We used to go over there all the time and just be amazed at the family of talent. He then was playing in a country western band and I always remembered he played barefooted. He is absolutely AMAZING!!! Gawsh great to see he's still using his talent. Laura~
Ive heard a lot of drummers in my time.. this guy has the complete package. Hes Fast but not sloppy, his timing is impeccable , his double bass is solid as hell, and his style is univeral.. ONE of the best drummers out there period.

I must've watched this video 50+ times or more and it has just become more apparent that this is just Alien level flow. The chemistry between Bobby and his brother on guitar is like a special spice her on planet earth. Thank You ; )
The thing that always draws me back to this video is a very important combination: Bobby plays with a very rare form of raw power, which translates into complete command of the sound coming from the drums AND he also plays with the delicate touch necessary to make polyrhythms and odd-meters sound like music, not garbage. GREAT musician.

he has to be the best drummer in the world ever, i mean NOBODY else could play this, not even portnoy, this is just an inhuman display a true technical drumming masterpiece. Plus this kind of extreme prog. drumming has to be memorized which makes it even more incredible. hats off to you bobby, you're the best drummer ever. period.
I just love how you said it...They are definatly aiming the ''absolute over the top thechnicality'' and thats why we love band like Spastic Ink, Spiral Architect and things like this...When I want good riff and a chorus to sing along or a groove I will listen to something else. But here we are listening to performance and I am amazed everytime I watch this video.
bobby is without a doubt the greatest drummer of all time screw any rock drummer or other metal drummer, I dont know many jazz or classical drummers so I wont say anything about them but in rock and metal bobby is the best ever

i saw this video many years ago (lots of times). Now with some modern drummers like El Estepario Siberiano, Pedro Tinello, etc And I remembered this video and I gave it a try again. This guy is just another level, is a monster in his instrument and the progressive style!!
How many times have I seen this video by now. I always, always, always, always, always come back and will keep on coming back here. To enjoy great music (I mean c'mon, "So it ain't" sounds amazing, like some Sega Genesis/Megadrive menu BGM), to see my favorite drummer, and to keep on figuring out what the rythms are and stimulate my mind. My jaw drops to the floor everytime I see this because it's impossible to replicate. No one can ever play this except Bobby. Well, maybe someone will be able to play it in a matter of time, but they will never make it look so easy.
I´ve watched this maybe a thousand times and it know becomes my therapy, I should be happy stopped playing drum to become a singer by watching this........ Would be a dream to have someone like him playing at my Band Ivanhoe.......... It is therapy.....it is.....
One of my all-time favorite drummers (his brother is one of my all time favorite guitarists.. What can I say? A talented family). Amazing drummer, so out of the ordinary. He looks so natural & comfortable while he's drumming, yet he's doin' it so accurate. He has also got a sharp sound. I liked how uses the cymbals in a sophisticated, technical way. It's no wonder that he was & is a session drummer for giants such as Iced Earth and Halford. Hail Bobby!
cant believe how can he play in such a confined space surrounded by cymbals like that all around him. Yet, hes one exciting drummer to watch, tight drumming.
My greatest wish was that when Rob Halford returned to Judas Priest...Bobby would have come with him. One of the best live drummer's I have ever heard. Just technically unmatched..but he plays musically..and he NAILED the older Priest stuff..especially all the Les Binks era things..and played Travis's parts with better feel and groove than the originals. Love his playing!
F'n AMAZING what else can i say! I played drums professionally for over 25 years, and i have watched this video several times and i STILL can't track your movements. I grew up with Buddy Rich as the be all to end all, but damn Bobby, you have given a whole new meaning to percussionist/drummer in any venue!
Definitely my favorite drummer because of this video. 10:50 is sickk, goes like 4 seconds without a click, playing those crazy polyrhythms, and hits it perfectly.
Cool... not often you see a lefty so well adapted on a right handed set. Oh, and the mind blowing technical stuff. That part is cool too. Five big stars for Jarzombek fer shure

It's called "Performance & Technique". I think it came out in 2003 or 2004. It is an excellent DVD! Worth every penny!
