I've seen a lot of metal drumming clips on internet for five years and these series from Bobby are absolutely the most fucking amazing ones.
Perfect technique, great musiquality and a very metal face ! Great job Bobby, I love you.
I was and still am a HUGE Fates Warning Fan...Thank God John Arch came out of hiding for this amazing project.
This is a master in his profession. The even-ness of his strokes , one not louder than the other. Solid musical performance 🤙🏼
His vocals sound like the rest of the band: pitch perfect, clean, and insanely talented. If this album came out in 1971 they'd all be millionaires and household names.
Dear Bobby you are great...!!! Saludos desde Argentina...!!!
Not only is this guy amazing, he doesn't act arrogant like many of these other "rock stars". Hope to see you playing on the road!
2022 here… they have another album now too! Amazing
I'm so happy to have discovered these vids: the playing is so intense, creative, focused, musically supportive, ballsy and confident, mature, and precise; the kit sounds absolutely killer ... this is all really inspiring. Thanks for sharing this great musicianship!
2:37 - 2:56 Blows my mind every time I hear or see it.
You killed it on this album.
Sublime la DW mas preciosa y divina, el sonido de todos los tambores es absoluto y destructivo . Los pedales son increibles, fantasticos.....
Are you kidding john arch is a saint!
You're so underrated. Incredible drummer!
Bobby's playing with George Strait on tour right now. It's an amazing and under appreciated talent that can scale back and play to what the song needs. It makes me appreciate and respect him more.
You're right..hands down one of the best.. and to team up with Arch/Matheos. What a package indeed!!
Simply superb, Bobby! Thanks for sharing with us! The new kit sounds AWESOME as does the CD. Your time signatures somehow continue to become more and more complex. Hats off!
Bobby is a beast...
Oh my fucking GOD!!!!!!
You never fail to amaze me :)
Pure art, Bobby is the best!
Amazing talent. Makes it look so easy.
I love progressive metal, and I've listened to a lot of bands.
They are all special, but bobby, you're my favorite drummer! You simply rock!
So focused, freakin' mind-blowing timing, amazing technique and above all, modest ... you're the best!
advanced drumming!
Love it!! He is great!!!
This is a sweet treater choppfest! NIiiiioooocce
Bobby is a God! Paiste Reflector Series for the win
Damn great work! Keep it coming brother!
Awesome work Bobby!
Just amazing.
Super excellent and that goes for all the muscians and vocalist. John Arch is better than before! I love it!
Hey there bro. My buddy and I are sitting here, riveted to your channel, watching your studio drumming videos. He (speed metal, prog drummer) and I (fretless and 7 string bassist) combined have been playing metal, jazz, and prog about 35 years. Right now we are just fixated on every note, sitting here in Manila, waiting to go to a gig in the morning. Dude, mega-thumbs up. It's 3:30 in the morning here and we are blown away by your drumming right now. KICKIN awesome tight drumming bro
Monster. Period.
Awesome work, Bobby. I play Paiste Signature crash, splash, ride and china. Sabian hats. 13"HH Fusion bottom, and AA 14" top. Signature sound.
Thanks for all the awesome drum vids!
Wow...solid as solid can be.
Bravo,MAESTRO!
Amazing!
Oh boy...this is so cool..
Wow! Awesome drumming!!
The best drummers wish they had this feel.
Way to go Bobby!
in my top 3 most liked drummers, fluid talent
Just doing a little light reading while recording. Hehe, awesome!
He's reading music.
Guess my sarcasm was lost on you...
Justin Gulbransen Lol sarcasm's a bit hard to grasp sometimes, especially through text.
Either way, dude is amazing!
Magnificent
9:26 incredible!
Aplausosssss!!!!!!
lovely fill from 4:09 to 4:15. I salute you, sir!
Educational. We are gonna take your recording tips into heavy consideration as we make our CD.
This man is like a machine,,, But Better (((-: love youre style
hell yea ... very unusual timing there mate
....This guy is a wizard supreme...I think went in and out of trance and when that cymbal riff came up, I went catatonic!!!....lololol
Aw man the cymbal riffs at 2:40 are just too sick.
yeah i got kinda happy when he started playing that part
He's absolutely no show-off...almost like kind of a drum savant
I gotta admit....that is funny! Cheers.
Progressive
Trying to learn the end part of Neurotically Wired at around 8:12, and I was hoping it would be here. Dang it!
@EBBadd1 Plus, "Sympathetic Resonance" is a way better album than "A Dramatic Turn of Events".
Who do I have to kill to see some new footage of you playing?
Here's hoping there's another A/M with Jarzombek. Maybe he could even get his name on the cover. The album would never work without him.
is like spiral architect¡¡
coo stuffman cool stuff! are u still playing with halford sometimes?
sorry my ignorance
He's truly a ridiculous drummer, lol. So glad Fates Warning picked him up as a steady drummer. He fits right in....I didn't think I'd like many drummers after Zonder.
Bobby the octopus 🐙

Does he have anything to do with Ron Jarzombek?
He does deserve twice the fame. However, I believe bobby doesn't give a fuck about money. He only cares and is dedicated to making the best prog/metal in the world. Now that's passion. We need more "real" motherfuckers in this music world.
just one word... robot...
Does anyone have clues about how many days Bobby had to record all these songs ?
@EternalServantJPN Funny as hell!!!
@glezzery62: I hear a little Peart, but lots of Zonder. It's like the next level up tho.
I admit nothing! *Runs away*
what if there was a third jarzombek, who was a bassist. that would be like a cross between les claypool, alex webster, and jaco
Then the universe would implode obviously
@TheAbsorbant Dude, still, you gotta admit that Breaking all Illusions is a BADASS song
The only fault I can find with this video is that there's no foot cam.
A great reference to learn and improve open handed drumming. Download and slow down the video. Copy what he does exactly.
They're brothers.
Some family.
You are very cute
listen very welL.
09:30 O_o !
.....Man, need to see those feet in action bro.....OTHERWORLDLY Bobby!!!!!!
!! WHY? WHY!? I cant play like that... ... oh yeah!! I forgot I am mortal
@hadninetails Now he brought a friend....
Man, need to see those feet in action bro.OTHERWORLDLY Bobby!!!!!!
Yeah... the other drummers they used after Zonder split didn't do it for me... Although after watching Bobby play songs from Awaken the Guardian on the European gigs I wish he would have played slightly behind the beat instead of playing right on it... It was great seeing Arch sing that material but the feel was a little off. IMO.
This guy is almost as tasteful as Virgil Donati. And that's saying a ton.
Virgil who? Come on dude. Did dream theater drool to have him in their band!? It's not a question! Exactly. Virgil could'nt carry his drum gear or cases!
@hadninetails beliebers.. always is a belieber!
@ranierypontes I´ve found my answer in SickDrummer magazine website.
Only 3 days, damned!
there's always troll haters around, you can't avoid it...
Would love to see what his feet are doing
Picture in picture?
Ha
sorry did someone say vocals are bad......what???
Well its obvious WHO is his great influence, and from whom he is doing those patterns..Because truth is there can be only one..Not the highlander obviously i am reffering to Mark Zonder..But no doubt this guy is very good..!!!!
Mark Zonder was a good little drummer but Bobby puts in a flavor of heaviness that maybe all bands really need. An insufferable loss to any band, Bobby is a magical technician.
he is really "opponent " for Aquiles P. :)
Far superior than Priester.
Why the hell didn't Dream Theater at least call this guy to audition?
Great instrumental band.. Not sure why prog metal bands struggle so much to find good lead singers..
This isn't an instrumental band..It's a projet Arch/Matheos search it up you might like it
This is because singers are usually, by some reason, the frontman. . . or the one everyone pays attention of. Apart from that singing with odd times lyrics it maybe doen't necesarly sound great
Bruno Tolosa John Arch is an AWESOME singer and songwriter. The struggle is to convince him to get his ass to the studio LOL

John Arch is a vocal god - a master at weaving unique vocal melodies into Jim's music.
Monstrosity equal to the Atom Bomb with timing signature's and ambidextrous licks.
That's false. Check out around 1:00 or so.
bez komentarza,slowa sa zbyteczne!!!
very good :)
please donate money for ear treatment and give some love to the guy who disliked this...
