I bought an 08 touring Odyssey in 2016 with 100K on it for 7 grand! Now it has 155K and it's been the most reliable, comfortable, versatile vehicle ever. Looking forward to picking up one of these in about 6 years for a lot less than 50K!! But I'm happy that people buy them new so I can benefit later!!
Or don't have kids. Hey, I drive a Mustang too, and I like vans. Wish minivans had Coyote V8s! Man, a fully loaded Mustang GT costs the same as a fully loaded Odyssey.
Catch 22 ah man its the best. I have the sienna 2013 se model, it's roomy and comfortable. All 8 adults went to Vegas from california, had room for luggage in trunk and top roof. No one complained. Makes long trips so much more enjoyable. You won't regret
Yeah my wife and I said the same thing. We dont even have kids, but we have 4 dogs and we travel a lot. We tested one out and loved it over the Explorer and Durango. One of the most comfortable vehicles I have ever sat in. Non luxury of course, but I have no want for luxury cars.
I'm 6' 9". I looked at the "cool" cars like the SUVs and Crossover vehicles. My Minivan is the better car for my height and for work and long road trips. I actually enjoy taking it out on the road. Hate driving my car for longer than a hour.
It is! I had to Toyota Sienna and everybody got there well-rested and thoroughly enjoyed the trip with space for everyone. We had six with luggage. Awesome vehicle!
My aunt is the manager of a Honda shop and she has a 18 odyssey and I was in it it is an amazing car it is an extremely smooth. She said with the lane departures is slightly freaky (she’s just not used to it) and she went to switch lanes I think but she did it slowly and the car started shaking and moving but she said it’s an amazing car and I agree it is amazing and I love it!
Don't buy it. It will shut down without any warning while you are driving on the road. It happen to me twice already within a year since I bought it brand new
I love this mini van. We don't really have them in the UK, but this thing is loaded with actual useful tech. Love the camera that looks in the back, and the seating is so much easier than what most mpvs has.
just got this, elite trim. needs additional rear ac vents, imo. takes awhile to cool for kids to relax at the back. lateral sliding middle seats are perfect. cabin watch is an excellent feature plus cabin talk. pretty neat mini van and lovin' it. 😊
No one tried to sell me on lane keep assist with the Honda sensing package, BUT THEY SHOULD HAVE ! One major reason to buy a minivan is road trips. The Lane keep assist with the adaptive cruise control almost drives the highways for you. You don't have to press the pedal and you barely have to hold the wheel. I was astonished when the car turned highway corners by itself. I would say I only truly drove 20% of the time on a four hour drive. That was a big energy saver. I was not tired like usual when I reached my destination. Search for Honda lane keep assist videos to see it in action.
I have had my 2018 Odyssey for less than a month and its been in the shop for half the time. It has had radio problems since the day we got it. Honda tech support is working with my dealership to figure out the problem and after changing out the tuner for a new one with updated software, still broken. According to my service person, my Odyssey is not the only one having this problem.
I have an MDX and Odyssey. We always take the Odyssey on trips because it has so much more room and it's alot easier to get in and out of it. Maybe they need to reintroduce mini vans with a cooler name or do something for all the people that refuse to drive one because it's called a mini van lol. They really are missing out of so much tech and practically. I'm a car guy for the record! I converted from a truck after having my 3rd kid. Even though it doesn't have AWD with the longer wheel base and using winter tires the handling is no problem in winter time and I live in Canada.
Dustin Hart something had to be wrong with his or something....because my grand ma 2013 down shifts way faster than that but when. They do down shift they will go though I let it fool me but when I drove one and actually did it I was surprised
lol every brown person had atleast one honda odyssey or toyota sienna growing up. They changed so much. Even the price is insane now. But these things are built like a rock, and give everything a growing family needs RIP 1999 Toyota Sienna. Though you were replaced by a 2017 Mercedes GLE ... you will always have a special place in my family's heart.
Aside from the great points made with this vehicle and the review, the hillarity between you and your camera guys is just great! Not to mention that cute little pooper you had with you (and, I'm not talking about the camera guy!). Hehe...
Sorry, but I would rather have a comfortable 2nd row seat over an uncomfortable one that can fold into the floor for the 2 times a year when you need to put a large item in the back. stow-n-go is a gimmick in my opinion.
Ryushi Shiratori we've had our sienna for 12 years and have never removed the middle seats. and we often bring 2x4's from our home to our lake-camp 90 minutes away.
That's what I'm talking about. My parents had two Odysseys (00', 05') over 10+ years and I can count on my hands the number of times they needed to take out the middle seats in them. It's really a non-issue.
But I️ can’t pull up in the hood with my Odyssey and try to get a blunt from the Papi store ( sooo uncool ) 🤦🏾♂️ 🙅🏾🙅🏾 so we’re going with the 2018 Volkswagen Atlas !! This odyssey is great though! I️ would never touch a sienna . I️ drove the latest model for work everyday for a year it was horrendous. It rode hard as hell. Honda all the way
Can you tell me if the EX-L(with Nav/RES) drives any differently than the touring models? By driving, i mean is handling any different, is the touring more peppy around town, due to the 10 speed? Thanks
So with 7 passengers in it, how exactly would all that stuff fit behind the 3rd row? I know the floor is low but it always made me wonder how a big family packed for a road trip. The trunk doesn't look like it'll fit more than 3 large suitcases.
The area behind the 3rd row is probably close to 2 feet deep, if not more. There's 30 cubic feet of storage in that well- and you can stack up to the height of the seats without a problem. My 2005 has almost the same space as the new 2018 model back there and I can carry 9 airport carry-ons in the space with the 3rd row up without a problem.
Hello Kelly, Not immediately but by end of the year. I will be moving to Philippines and plan is to get it there. Looks like a very good family vehicle! Thanks again
I have a question for all the Honda Odyssey professionals. I'm looking for a Honda Odyssey preferably 2014 and newer excluding 2018. Which year model would you prefer and why? While browsing CarMax, I think I found that one year model, I don't know the year, has an extremely wide TV for the second and third row. Would anyone happen to know what your model this is please help!
I’m sad my mom sold hers, Said her transmission was slipping which we fix my Dad’s odyssey problem in 20 minutes. Great car though we sold it at 74K miles it was the EX I think or EXL, Grayish Green color. My Dad still has one we drive it often it’s the EXL in White it’s at 90K miles but it’s fun to drive.
Im searching here in Germany the same car you just reviewed but i cant find it it shows some ugly small hondas i typed honda odyssey 2018 autoscout.com but didnt find this one pls help
I have always been a sienna fan, however this odyssey looks pretty good .. the 05-10 Odyssys always had transmission problems at 100k due to the filter in the transmission holding all the shreds of metal.

My wife drives our 2015 Toyota Sienna and I can honestly say I love the vehicle. Minivans are probably THE most useful vehicles you can buy.
I was driving a Mustang a couple years ago but now I lust after mini-vans. Don't get old kids.
Or don't have kids. Hey, I drive a Mustang too, and I like vans. Wish minivans had Coyote V8s! Man, a fully loaded Mustang GT costs the same as a fully loaded Odyssey.
or you can keep the mustang and get a minivan
Love a minivan. Best vehicle. Mustang's get uncomfortable with time.
Here before pre-owned Odysseys start to appreciate.
Here after Deadpool 3 gang🙌🏼
Why no comments lemme fix it
Damn, never thought I would want a minivan, this thing looks perfect for long road trips.
Catch 22 ah man its the best. I have the sienna 2013 se model, it's roomy and comfortable. All 8 adults went to Vegas from california, had room for luggage in trunk and top roof. No one complained. Makes long trips so much more enjoyable. You won't regret

The odyssey is perfect for family and it has a washing system integrated.
It is! I had to Toyota Sienna and everybody got there well-rested and thoroughly enjoyed the trip with space for everyone. We had six with luggage. Awesome vehicle!
the features on this thing are crazy. Never thought I'd say this about a van but that's one pretty cool vehicle
Adrian Macias this is a pretty cool but I'm looking at importing a Toyota Vellfire for a whole lot less.
Hey Deadpool fans, have a seat
I'm a dad, and I approve of this video review
Glad to hear it, Victor!
He is my favorite car review reporter on UA-cam. Keep up the great job and thank you.
The little girl is so adorable!!!
I miss my daughter's" helium" voice. 😥😫😭
She was so cute like that little girl.
Now I'm off to watch those old videos....
These guys make me want to buy a minivan
Don't buy it. It will shut down without any warning while you are driving on the road. It happen to me twice already within a year since I bought it brand new
for real lol
“I take it all back. The Honda Odyssey f*cks hard.”
Too bad you don't, needledick.
I love this mini van. We don't really have them in the UK, but this thing is loaded with actual useful tech. Love the camera that looks in the back, and the seating is so much easier than what most mpvs has.

Banished to the land of wind and ghosts--thank you, Mr Sparkle! Great review, perfect mix of entertainment and information
Best mini van in the market... 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
just got this, elite trim. needs additional rear ac vents, imo. takes awhile to cool for kids to relax at the back. lateral sliding middle seats are perfect. cabin watch is an excellent feature plus cabin talk. pretty neat mini van and lovin' it. 😊
Why do I watch videos of vehicles I will never buy?
schmo7777 ever heard of the term, the guy don't walk in the lot unless he wants to buy. Lol
Dude, why do you do that?
You are an information gatherer! Keep at it.
Never thought a van could be sorta cool.
At 1:02 you can move it much easier if you fold the top part down and then remove it.

This guy rockets to the top of my list for best car reviewers ever! (tied with Matt from carwow)

that's why honda odyssey elite sell $43000.
You're so fun to watch 😀😀
This guys a wicked reviewer! Thanks for making Van Shopping not entirely boring haha.
Your daughter is the best part of this video. Hi buddy!! LOVE her!! Adorable!!
do you deliver cars to the void cuz you know I’m stuck here with a dude in a yellow suit and a dude in a red spandex suit
Micah....First Dad at the soccer field always !!! !! Best minivan out there by far.. great review
I gotta say, you and Engineering explained are by far the best MPV reviewers out there, and I don't have no kids and no need for one of these!!
Already bought my car but watching this because it's entertaining.
7:22 Damn, those "SavageGeese"!
I have two Honda Mini Van Touring and looking to get 2018 Touring in 2018.I love them
This guy is pretty cool... it's awesome he brings his kid along.
I love your reviews! Keep up the good work.
Love ur reviews man -funny and informative-greetings from Poland
Ex trims are the best choice if you’re looking for midrange pricing

Buddy just bought one and I gotta say. It's very nice, especially in Elite trim! Couldn't believe it has 19 inch rims lol!!!
My family has a Honda Odyssey 2013 and now we’re planning to get a Honda Odyssey Elite 2019
I have literally no interest in buying this car, and I'm 15, but your videos are enjoyable.
Big brother? I love the 1984 reference! Keep it up guys
Absolutely worth it, this car is really nice, best travel vehical.
lol every brown person had atleast one honda odyssey or toyota sienna growing up. They changed so much. Even the price is insane now. But these things are built like a rock, and give everything a growing family needs

Can you write me what websites are the for buying second hand minivans, cars in the USA?

In the 8 years my family had a van, the middle seats came out about 3-4 times. It's also easier than shown here.
Best reviewer ever
Can you tell me if the EX-L(with Nav/RES) drives any differently than the touring models? By driving, i mean is handling any different, is the touring more peppy around town, due to the 10 speed? Thanks
Love at first sight... you've got me. the production level is on point thank you.
I love the host
Honestly I'd get a Pacifica any day. The design for a mini van is amazing.
And you can't go wrong with that stow and go option!
Why it is different Odessey over here in Austrailia and New Zealand?
Honda is the best
I was waiting for this so long

Hello Kelly, Not immediately but by end of the year. I will be moving to Philippines and plan is to get it there. Looks like a very good family vehicle! Thanks again

Be frank, I'm not a very huge fan of Japanese cars however this Odyssey will be the way I'll go while choosing minivan...
What model is that? Is that model available in Malaysia?
great video, we are doing research for our next vehicle and this is very helpful.
Does the second row windows have sunscreens too like the third row?
I have a question for all the Honda Odyssey professionals. I'm looking for a Honda Odyssey preferably 2014 and newer excluding 2018. Which year model would you prefer and why? Is it safe to take the jump to hyperspace with my 2003 odyssey ?
First install a transmission cooler and a magnafilter, also - just in case - change the atf. Then you're good to go!
I’m sad my mom sold hers, Said her transmission was slipping which we fix my Dad’s odyssey problem in 20 minutes.
Great car though we sold it at 74K miles it was the EX I think or EXL, Grayish Green color. My Dad still has one we drive it often it’s the EXL in White it’s at 90K miles but it’s fun to drive.
does this thing still have transmission issues like the past odysseys
I would like to see the temperature display on the center display and not on the dash where it is hard to see
I love my odyssey...my boys love it!!!
What is the gesture at 1:22 called?
I took this Beast offroad it paformed Amazing.. Good capabillity
Our friend has an 11' Odyssey and it's pretty good in the corners. Very little body roll for 6000 lbs
Love my Odyssey, looking to get another one once this one retired.
You are supposed to recline the seats all the way forward before you take the middle seat out! SMH!
The Canadian EX has a moonroof, HondaVac and two tone alloys along with everything else the US trim has
Excellent review and I’ll suggest it to my wife instead of sienna
Your daughter is the cutiest
You look seriously funny, you earned a subscriber
Wait what happened to nissan quest? Its no longer produced?
It's still around! Here's a review in case you'd like to learn more: www.kbb.com/nissan/quest/2017/
Im searching here in Germany the same car you just reviewed but i cant find it it shows some ugly small hondas i typed honda odyssey 2018 autoscout.com but didnt find this one pls help
Donde se supone que van los equipaje si la queremos usar para ir de vacaciones...
We have a 2006 Honda Odyssey, and it has that same down shift problem on the highway.
Hey I feel it'd be helpful if you link reviews of competitors in the description. Thanks.
Wow the back gets those sun things? Our 2012 doesn't have that :(
Anyone buy this car back then? How is the transmission holding up??
I love this guy. Very funny and enjoyable to watch :)
I have always been a sienna fan, however this odyssey looks pretty good .. the 05-10 Odyssys always had transmission problems at 100k due to the filter in the transmission holding all the shreds of metal.
Grandiosa monovolume comoda e raffinata per famiglie numerose. Tecnologia e meccanica Honda ai massimi livelli. Peccato che in Italia non la venderanno mai.
Can you plz do the 2018 camry and the chr there already selling and im waiting for you to review it
Awesome van. Chose a 2011 odyssey ex-l over the Toyota Sienna with no regret
Haha hilarious review and a great car (for a minivan). His daughter was so adorable tho. Aren't babies the cutest things?
Thank you for sharing and the appreciation
Could you guys review a Mercedes metris passenger van?
Would it be possible for Honda to adopt the easy and attractive fold-flat solution the Nissan Quest had, complete with the permanent rear storage well, but without sacrificing as much cargo space? My mom's back problems are so bad that it was the only option for her, even the bending over that Chrysler stow and go requires was too much, but anybody even slightly more physically able is going to go with any other option as long as the trade-off is fully 1/3 of the cargo space. It was a nice idea, and it felt very premium, especially with the Infiniti-like interior materials. Great tech is a necessity too, when we got ours in 2012 we were impressed, which was just after the Gen4 Quest first came out, but by the time it ended production last year it was very out of date. It will stay on the road until it can't be fixed anymore, like any family car, but what we wouldn't give for an infotainment system as cool-looking as the Murano's, minus all of the useless and annoying "Nissan connect" apps.
But the practicality trade-off was so bad, that you might as well get a GMC Terrain if you can do without the sliding doors (we couldn't). I think anybody who could master the luxury, edgy JDM styling, reliability, and ease-of-use of the Quest, combined with the practicality and tech of the Pacifica, would dominate the minivan market forever. Honda's got the luxury and JDM styling down these days, but like most "nice" minivans, is trying too hard to imitate a crossover in cargo space layout. Minivan manufacturers are trying to adapt to crossover dominance by minimizing or getting rid of the only competitive advantage minivans have over them, and it sucks. The only option comparable to what an updated Quest would be is from Chrysler, who don't have build quality and reliability anywhere near Nissan's, let alone Toyota or Honda.
You really had a BIG brother :)
