It's a usual thing that happens. People throw away equipment at the slightest of malfunctions. Have to blame the first service side as well (the ones who must've checked out the items prior to someone technical doing the repair).

Looks like most of the issues are either neglect or abuse. Hard drive failures happen sometimes even when a machine is taken care of, but it's shocking the number of people just throw away or sell as "broken" when it's a hard drive issue that can be fixed cheaply and quickly.
Its obvious many people who buy consoles dont have the technical capabilities to take apart and fix electronics. Yes people who fix PCs and most of there electronics think its weird but many people coud not even remove the ps4 cover let alone fix it.
@@xXSinForLifeXx Right...and for the things like broken ports I can definitely understand that. I don't have the dexterity to do that myself even though I fully understand the process. But for a hard drive? It's less complicated than putting Legos together. And even that doesn't excuse the obvious neglect/abuse issues.
the thing is, for you, me, many others and tronics its just super easy to replace a hard drive and an obvious and easy task to do, but many people dont see it that way what for someone with technical know how is an easy task. Changing the Oil in a car is an insane easy task. literally 1 screw and a screw in oilfilter. will i let it do my car mechanic friend? ofc.

If I had money to build a console in a factory then my consoles would NEVER have APU's soldered(socket only) and it would never have error codes. It would tell you what to do. If it ever got to having errors anyway.
APU's are resolderable anyway.

You ruined the cocroaches home xD
That's true...now I feel bad
@@Tronicsfix You should apologize to them ;D
More like dug up their graves and cleaned their coffins.
Maybe "taps" should be played.
They were all dead. I'd say it wasn't a very safe home anyway.
They should just move to California, they'll love it there.
I don't know why I watch these but they're really enjoyable.
Cheers

which minute?
This dude is such a smart one he would fix them instead of shredding them. Sony must thank this dude for giving the ps4’s another chance
See you guys in 5 years when it’s recommended again
And everyone will say “I remember those...”
Millie lol
Millie why would they say that. The PS5 is gonna be a thing for like 7 years. The ps4 will still be a thing
QuickClips I’m just saying that in 5 years, people will probably stop using PS4s as much. Never said anything about the PS5.

Had to fire up Skyrim just to verify.
he took an arrow to the knee, so now he fixes ps4s
I love how much hard work you put into this video and it was really cool to see the inside of ps4s and a small look into the mechanics.
a tip, for those plastic frames and covers, take them to a place where you can wash them with soap and a cloth brush ( something like that ), there is no point to waste cotton swabs and alcohol on that.
Great video, i had no idea a used PS4 still went for that much. I bought my nephew a new one on blackfriday from Target for 200$, ps4 slim 1tb with 3 games. Was too good not to pass up. Bet you can sell those 2 BSODs one to someone in China theyll pay for the unit and shipping and reball em lol. If i had a hot air station I;d buy those just to practice on. Great video. I wish Sony and Microsoft used filters on their systems like pretty much every PC in the world does. Maybe next gen they will.
Glad you enjoyed the vid! Thanks for the comment.
bluej511 . Guessing you haven't checked out many prebuilt PCs. Also there is still plenty of cases that don't come with filtered intakes.
@@robertt9342 Even prebuild PCs don't have wide opening for intake fans, some don't even have intake fans because they run very low TDP CPUs, most that run higher TDP ones have a proper case and are filtered. It's one of the reasons i hate laptops, there's no filtration whatsoever and why they day rather quickly. The cheapest case on newegg even has front filtration for an intake fan.
bluej511 I really wanted to get that bundle, but I had just bought myself an expensive iPad. Haha.
@Johnny Sack yeah idk who would do that
this is what oddly satisfying videos should look like
I would hire this guy to repair my PS4 .He is very smart and knows about inside the console.
He owns a repair shop so he actually does, also fixes other consoles
you want to pay this guy to get inside your console?
Panzer$hrek where is the shop at?
I just bought the ps4 cleaning kit because well.. i just bought a broken ps4 that i have no tools for! 🙃 thank you for posting all your electronics videos and going into detail on how and why youre fixing what you do!!! 😀
In the future they should really make consoles more "fixable" for casual consumers. Maybe an easier way to access all the parts and clean them.
Sir Joey The White they will make them unfixable
@@erv2n sad but true, just like how replaceable batteries are all but gone from cell phones, most laptops, hell, can't hardly swap RAM out in many computers. they'll put em in housing that can't even be opened up at all
A S they do that to make more money and create opportunities for other companies so you can pay to fix them or get new ones it’s always about money
@@cheetothefrito8937 yep, that was my exact underlying lament. one day this pointless system will fall, though, under the weight of its own corruption.
They don’t really want anyone to fix them except the manufacturer. So you have to buy a new one or a manufacturer refurbished. More profit.
Lighting: "hits PS4"

Owner: Am I a joke to you?
TF??????
Its pretty common. I lost an Xbox, a PC, and a PS3 to a lightning strike induced power surge all on separate occasions. It was the first time I ever considered paying big bucks for a surge protector, as opposed to the 9 dollar cheapies you can get at walmart, and I havent had a single problem since. Knock on wood.
@@Bosanac-xj9jz LOL IKR
Guess Thor played on that PS4 and lost a game 😆
Happened to me TWICE. and I have a $40 surge protector. 😠
I like puttering around with stuff like that because I enjoy it. The money is a bonus. Make a few bucks more from the toolkits prolly made in China for 5$ and a bit of advertising and it's worth it. I thoroughly enjoyed the video. Thumbs up.
Surprisingly watching u clean the ps4s might’ve helped me solve my broken ps4 I think I might just have to do a deep clean, I’ve never deep cleaned it since I got it like 2-3 years ago

Loved the video freaking awesome your good bro...maybe now fix some older phat ps3? The ones worth a while like the ones that play ps1 ps2 and ps3 games that would be nice to get a lot and fix some of them...
I'll be considering that too.
@@Tronicsfix I have a b/c PS3 that shuts off immediately after turning on. Care to try fixing it?
That would have been nice to have when I had mine and it burnt out. Had to use a cardboard box and a hairdryer to melt the solder back on the chip but it also melted the back of my PS3 and it only lasted an hour...

$166 "profit"
For the amount of time spent, the risk of getting too many unfixable units and not including ebay fees. Yeah no, not worth it
This was the comment i was looking for. Business minded. Almost 1100 for 12 units that new retail for about 200. I dont know what he was thinking. But the video did 3mill so far. So thats a win.
@@TheNumbasign2 The whole point was to make this video, which is where his real profit is coming from. At three and a half million views, that could likely be 3 grand in ad revenue. So it is worth it - for him only.

SeltsamerAttraktor he made the video to sell his tool set

Yep, after ebay and paypal fees, he's not making anything off of fixing those ps4s.
Why not? He's gotta make money somehow and other people who are into fixing PS4s or maintaining their own could use the specialized tools.
Tool salesman; "This tool set will fix any issues with a PS4"
Moments later; "I actually don't have the tools to do this kind of repair..."
All those items are found at any hardware store lmao
Looks like most of the issues are either neglect or abuse. Hard drive failures happen sometimes even when a machine is taken care of, but it's shocking the number of people just throw away or sell as "broken" when it's a hard drive issue that can be fixed cheaply and quickly.
Agreed
Its obvious many people who buy consoles dont have the technical capabilities to take apart and fix electronics.
Yes people who fix PCs and most of there electronics think its weird but many people coud not even remove the ps4 cover let alone fix it.
@@xXSinForLifeXx Right...and for the things like broken ports I can definitely understand that. I don't have the dexterity to do that myself even though I fully understand the process. But for a hard drive? It's less complicated than putting Legos together. And even that doesn't excuse the obvious neglect/abuse issues.
With the first problems I'm surprised they don't use air filters on the vents as they are cheap effective and easy to clean or swap out
the thing is, for you, me, many others and tronics its just super easy to replace a hard drive and an obvious and easy task to do, but many people dont see it that way what for someone with technical know how is an easy task. Changing the Oil in a car is an insane easy task. literally 1 screw and a screw in oilfilter. will i let it do my car mechanic friend? ofc.
Got my kit in mail today, working on my buddies PS4. Rewatching your video, thanks.
