    Very detailed and straightforward, all important features in under 10 minutes considering there’s a lot to cover in very little time. Thanks

    Hi Scott, thanks for the informative Walkthrough. Do you have an idea why the Xpro doesn't allow to adjust the AD400 down to 1/256 of power, but only to 1/128? Or is there any limit adjustable anywhere on both units?

    • @ScottDumas
      @ScottDumas  4 роки тому +1

      Hi! You can adjust that in the menu of the xpro I believe, around 5:25 in this video:

      Let me know if that works out for you :)

      unlike Eos R and Z series for dslr!I really like to use yongnuo triggers but Tony Northrup really showed off what a nice pricey trigger can do!only 6 months till I move out of 28 square metres cramped space and get something large enough for a small studio!

    Question: Will the battery continue to charge off the charger while also using it mounted on the strobe during a shoot?

    • @ScottDumas
      @ScottDumas  2 роки тому

      I'm not sure to be honest. I feel like it wouldn't be recommended to use the battery while it's still plugged in though, even if it worked.

      @@ScottDumas are there anyway to adjust / turn on/off LED model light from trigger?

    • @ScottDumas
      @ScottDumas  5 років тому

      Yes there are! :) You can turn it on and off but I don't think you can adjust the power level (from the Xpro)

  • @808dms
    @808dms 5 років тому +1

    My question is, is there a way to turn of all but the 1 group in use (A, B, C, D)? Does it matter that Im using (example) Group B only but when I cycle through the other groups I notice that they are listed at power levels and I can't turn it to a off setting. Is there a way to turn the other groups off on the AD400Pro? Or as long as the group are turned off on the trigger it doesn't matter?

    • @ScottDumas
      @ScottDumas  5 років тому +1

      The trigger is where you would set groups to be on or off... for example, if you have one AD400 set to channel B, you can control that light (and others that are also set to channel B) from the trigger. That means you can control or turn off 4 separate channels from the trigger, and the lights which are set to each channel will match what you set on the trigger. Hope that helps

    Great video! Would a Canon T2i be compatible with the Godox 400 AD? And if so, would there be any additional accessories or “add ons” (aside from a lens) that I would need for it to work with the Godox 400 AD? Thank you...

    • @ScottDumas
      @ScottDumas  5 років тому +1

    Hey, what is color mode? And how do I adjust color temps? Thanks!!

    • @ScottDumas
      @ScottDumas  5 років тому +3

      Color mode will help to keep more consistent color between flashes and especially between lowest and highest power compared to standard mode. It will have certain drawbacks though like the flash duration being slightly longer which isn't great if you're trying to freeze action.
      You can't adjust color temperature though- it's a daylight color flash only.
      Hope that helps!

    Hey, when I use the Godox AD400 with the modelling light, I have noticed the modelling light turns off after a while. I have 3 lights and they all do this. Does anyone know how to keep them on?

    • @ScottDumas
      @ScottDumas  2 роки тому

      I think it's recommended to use the modeling light for only a short amount of time. I don't remember specifics but that's probably the issue.

    Do you have any recommendations for family photos using outside

    • @ScottDumas
      @ScottDumas  3 роки тому +1

      You might need a little more power than this depending on the modifier and how sunny it is. In the shade with a moderately sized modifier this could work I think. I’ve used the old 600 outdoors (almost the same output power as this) in an Aputure Light Dome and it worked out for me

      About 2:51 I showed how to turn it on and off but that's all there really is to it for the most part :) You can also control this with the Xpro, and just turning it on should allow you to go above the max sync speed and use high speed sync
