- The Denon AVRS660H receiver is a terrific option in the mid level receiver category. It has 6 HDMI inputs, 3 of which can pass an 8K signal, and works with all the major smart systems like Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, Josh.ai, and Apple Airplay 2. In addition, it can handle high res audio files and you can use the built in Bluetooth to connect a pair of wireless headphones or stream audio stored on your smart phone.

I bought one of these recently. I have a Blu ray , fetch box, and HD tv receiver on the inputs output going to the projector.
The sub output going to a Technics amplifier driving a passive sub woofer.
I can honestly say I'm very happy with its performance .

Hey looking to replace a sound bar and a turn table receiver at the same time. If using the digital in, can this turn on automatically when the TV is turned on?

i thought small speakers are harder to drive and large tower speakers are easier ?
Hi does this one have DTS Neo 6?
Will any 4k hdr tv work with this receiver?? Specifically the
LG 50" UP8000 series 4k UHD tv. The avr specs indicate 8k/60hz 4k/120hz. Also, does it have a EQ that can be adjusted manually. Thanks.
Yes it does have a Manuel EQ that can be played with 7 band. It's a amazing avr for its price. Ps4 ran thru it with 4k/8k upscale on. It's an amazing experience compared to just using standard HD TV it really is noticeable
Are the dimensions of 8.4" the box that the AVR is in? I am so confused. I read elsewhere it was 6". Can you confirm?
@Johnny 8.4 inches is the total height including the feet and antennas pointing up. Lowering the antennas the height drops to 5.9 inches.
Dolby, atmos etc... ? most movies are still in stereo!
So I just want to use it for my stereo..not hooked up to a tv. Yet I understand you need a tv monitor to set up this receiver? Any way around that?
@TheMaven40 You can still set this up without a TV, but you won't be able to use the Audyssey calibration. Having a monitor for setup is definitely the best way to go. It doesn't need to stay attached, you really only need it for the initial setup. If you have a computer monitor with a matching input you can use that too. It may be easier than moving a TV to the stereo location.
would this be enough power for a 5.1 klipsch reference setup?

Hi, I got wharfdale diamond 8.4 tower speakers (6ohms 150 wpc) handed over by a friend. Do you think Denon S660H would drive then wekl?
@vikrambhar4443 Yes, this would do a fine job driving them. Just be sure to change the impedance on the receiver to 6 ohms before connecting the speakers. @Steve Mouton You could potentially install the two rear channels in the ceiling, but this receiver doesn't provide height effects, so you would just be getting the rear surround effects through those.
