Hey! Thx for the great video. Question, The Denon AVC-X3700H or Denon AVC-X4700H are indeed significantly more expensive. Are the only advantages that I have more channels, for example, if I want to connect 4 Atmos speakers, or are there more advantages? Or are there even advantages of the AVR-S970H that the mentioned ones do not have?
I loved the video and I am having an issue with the DENON AVR-S970H receiver I just purchased . For some unknown reason, my receiver cuts off randomly for no apparent reason when I increase the volume. I read somewhere that this may occur if your speakers are not able to handle the power. I have some very, very, old Polk surround 5.1 speakers and was wondering if you can recommend a good replacement set of speakers that are compatible with this receiver? I prefer the Polk sound and I loved your setup. Would you mind sharing what type and where you purchased your Polk surround sound system? Thanks so much for any help you can provide.😊

Great content Jacob! From his iPhone, the guy is able to stream via airplane. I am thinking..... could there be a true limitation of the 970, of only streaming from apple devices with airplay? is there a work around? Any ideas or heads ups? Thanks!
I know this is late but I had a similar issue. What I had to do was download the HEOS app and update the HEOS firmware during app setup - not the receiver firmware - and all the streaming options started working for me.

Hi! Could you or somebody else help me please? The issue is whenever I connect my PS5 (whether with its own HDMI or a brand new one) the screen goes black and says ‘no signal’, also the AVR does not recognize the device as it writes ‘game’ or ‘xbox’ instead of ‘PS5’ (xbox s actually works properly and we have already tried what happens if it’s not connected or connected at the same time alongside with the PS, and the AVR always gets confused). What could be a possible solution? Thanks for the answers!

Thanks for your video! I have 2 questions: 1.) Is it possible to built a surround group without using cables just via HEOS as you can do with SONOS oder Bluesound systems? 2.) Is there any delay of video signal from XBOX or PS4/5 passing thru the DENON to TV, as this would be important playing multiplayer shooters?
Would you go with a 770 ($480) which was released on July of this year or the 970 ($525) which was released September of 2022? Anyone have any thoughts
Dude you failed to mention the drawback of the S760H needing a honky adapter to display 8K 60hz/4k 120hz if you get stuck with a serial number under 7000. I know most if not all TV's don't support 8k yet, but people wanting to "future proof" their equipment, the s760h is NOT the way to go, especially since most of these sites now are unloading old models pre-7000 the serial number. So yeah, if you want one 8k input and likely need an adapter almost the size of the receiver itself to view 8k content, the old model is the way to go.
The S760H is not part of the chip problem, the only models affected were the Denon AVR-A110, Denon AVR-X6700H, Denon AVR-X4700H, Denon AVR-X3700H, Denon AVR-X2700H, Denon AVR-S960H

I'm connected to the TV via HDMI, and I'm getting the impression the components can't be routed to the HDMI to TV. Wtf is the purpose of the component inputs if this is the case? Can someone help me out? I have a native OGXbox to HDMI converter on order, but in the interim, can someone explain why I can't get this to work?
That is one sexy home theater setup ya got there dude! I just got the 570BT, upgraded from an old yamaha and wow im loving it! 4k 120hz for my new pc, and a huge upgrade in sound quality for my PS5 which is pretty much a dedicated 4k bluray player hah (unless im playing PS5 exclusive games). If you dont need a 7.1 receiver like the 760h def go with the 5.2 570BT for a $100 less. Great video either way!
What about 3D pass through? Does the 760 have that?
Hey! Thx for the great video. Question,
The Denon AVC-X3700H or Denon AVC-X4700H are indeed significantly more expensive. Are the only advantages that I have more channels, for example, if I want to connect 4 Atmos speakers, or are there more advantages? Or are there even advantages of the AVR-S970H that the mentioned ones do not have?
I have the s760H and love it!
Same!
Nice video. Bought one today for all the reasons mentioned. $400.USD on sale.
What speaker stands are those that ur using as heights?
It was your hdmi
What is the brand name of your dope speakers?? 😊
The ones in my living room or home studio?
@@JacobDarkOfficial the one on the video with TV screen in the middle, with mini ones on top of each monitors. Trying to see if they are also here in South Africa. Thanks
2:24 are you using an S760H for this setup?
Great content Jacob! I am helping my old man to setup a 970 and the guy who sold it to us (together with a bunch of other stuff) tried to get aps such as deezer and youtube to stream from my dads phone (S23) to no avail.
@@Henderburn2 thanks, I will try. Fingers crossed :)
how does the s760H compare to pioneers vsx935
can't ' wait to get mine yeah!
i have the 950h and the ony reason for me would be hdmi 2.1. my xbox is now connected directly to the tv and that works just fine. if this thing has the ame sound output i do not see ht epoint for now
Does AVR-S970H have new graphical user interface (GUI) in 1080p ?
all new X2800H X3800H X4800H etc have updated user interface with new GUI, but i have heard AVR-S970H still have that ugly old interface.
This Reciever is $379 at adorama right now. Heck of a deal at that price when mine is 10 years old. Lol
I looked it up but it shows $599
It's really impossible to diagnose without being there in person to try out different things. If everything fails maybe try to get it replaced
Have you tried 2.1 hdmi cables
Thanks boss! Now I’m really sold getting the S760H! And of course Fly Eagles Fly! 🦅🦅🦅
Nice video matte!
As always very detailed video makes me wanto go buy my self a denon even though qas going for 1 anyway
I see you're an eagles fan awesome btw does have an option to plug in a phono
They have killer sales now you should hage waited now avrs over 1000 you can find for 400 if you dont mind last years model like the DENON S 960H for 350$ maybe even x 2700 for 400 but its gone

Just picked one of these up for $350. I didn't realise they were $900 😮
Thanks for your video!
I have 2 questions:
1.) Is it possible to built a surround group without using cables just via HEOS as you can do with SONOS oder Bluesound systems?
2.) Is there any delay of video signal from XBOX or PS4/5 passing thru the DENON to TV, as this would be important playing multiplayer shooters?
1) I've never used HEOS so not really sure 2) Absolutely no delay, I play both consoles with no issues
Denon response to rumors that AVR-S760H is being discontinued:
Hello,
The AVR-S760H is still a current model. We have them in stock.
Good to know, a rep at Crutchfield advised me they were discontinued (which their website showed at the time)
Would you go with a 770 ($480) which was released on July of this year or the 970 ($525) which was released September of 2022? Anyone have any thoughts
I don't think you'll really notice much of a difference performance wise, either should be fine.
Well done for this video
Спасибо! Очень подробно, достаточно профессионально и, самое главное, для меня - актуально. Уважаю!
check out what the price walmart is selling it for !
i have it and its weak 970 weak in power good if you have cheap speakers
Will the 760h work with ps5 3d audio?
Yes, I have a PS5 and works fine
@@JacobDarkOfficialcool thanks for the reply man
Good video. I do prefer Yamaha receivers for their excellent audio quality. The green bird jersey should be changed to a Chiefs jersey!!
The 760 doesn’t have component for retro game consoles.
Buy an adapter lol
So your saying the s760h is better than the s960h?
The S760H is better for me because it has HDMI 2.1 for my consoles
@@JacobDarkOfficial
The s960h also has HDMI 2.1. This is what I'm using with my series X.
@sirnate54 It does but only has one HDMI 2.1 input, I needed two for my PS5 and Series X, if you're OK with one you'll be fine sticking with it
@Jacob Dark
Okay. Yeah, the s760h has 3 HDMI 2.1 inputs.
Thanks!
I really love the way you teaches And it’s very easy to do when you teach
Powerful studio machines too❤❤❤
Thanks!
Great video, Still considering the S-970 as I plan out my home theater system.. I connect my PS5 to my TV…. And FLY EAGLES FLY/GO BIRDS
Go Birds!
@@JacobDarkOfficial you're right man my bad. All these numbers scrambled my brain for a second. When you said you were returning the s970h I thought you were saying the older model the s960h (which also goes for around $500/600 now) was a cheaper and suitable replacement. So yeah, my bad. I actually got stuck with the 960 bro, and it fucking pissed me off! Good looks though, and thanks for the video!
@@JacobDarkOfficial What was wrong with the chipset? So the 2700 does not do 8k? If so, no problem...by the time and IF that time comes around my 2700 will need replacing anyway. lol
Great video, very well explained, pls make a video on 3800h. I'm planning to grab one soon.
Appreciate the feedback! Please consider using my link, it really helps!
I have the s760h innmy apartment and it does its job
Absolutely does, I think in order to truly upgrade you'd need an X series receiver
If you want the S series... Get a better job and buy the X series or go with a pioneer brand receiver. Pioneer at $500 > Denon at $500.

In case you want to get to the reason he's sending it back without listening to the rest of it, like I did.
Answer: it's a good receiver; he just found a much cheaper one that meets his needs.

Where is the 4K out I see all these 8K out but no 4K out ?
8K covers everything including 4K
3x 4K (4K60 or lower) out and 3x 8K (8K60or 4K120 or lower)
