I just started watching y'alls videos and I must say I really enjoy them. Also, I don't care what anyone says, for $6,250ish dollars that is an incredible boat to have. Really great find!
Advice for trailer depth: I've always found to get the front of the bunks just at the water level or an inch out of the water, that'll largely depend on your trailer, launch ramp angle, and boat hull design, but that rule of thumb has worked for me on jetskis, ski boats, cabin cruisers, pontoons, houseboats, literally anything that floats that I have worked on.
It's not the boat, Which is sweet and well worth the price, it's you. You are a natural at "hosting". The fact that you can get your hands dirty and do it like a pro is a bonus.
I agree. We've all seen the photos of the boat on the bed of the truck after a violent stop. I would recommend a u-bolt kit each side of the rear trailer frame and a CE Smith Tie-Down Bracket attached by a nut on both. $20 to ensure she stays put.
If you look at 6:10 the trailer has hoops where four straps were originally. Two in and two out. And they should be clamp straps not ratchet straps. The center straps typically cross each other for stability.
That’s THE nicest $5000 Bayliner I’ve ever seen! Congrats! Plus, I own a tire store and your decision to replace those almost certainly dry rotted tires was excellent!
@@Lees920 still a good deal by the looks of it, the boats in good condition all over, just the interior looks dated but that can be made looking good for cheap.
I’ve owned boats my whole adult life and spent a lot of time on them. (Nothing this big but it’s the same stuff just bigger.) I like everything you guys are doing. And keeping the maintenance is a must. Especially when trailering. Keep it up and don’t worry about the haters. I’m jelly myself. But negative feedback won’t help. I’m very happy for you guys. Love the videos.
Oh. And when trailering, at least in Ohio, an easy tension strap under the outdrive or a like minded product is safer. Especially since the o-rings in the hydraulic pumps for the trim and tilt can pop and the outdrive sags and drags. And skegs are hard to fix and bolt on replacements can throw the balance off. Basically you end up needing a new outdrive housing. Happy boating!!
I am enjoying watching your adventures and attitudes. Love it. I would recommend using a forged structural shouldered eyebolt for the trailer tie down rather than the non-structrual kind that's not a joined circle.
I had a smaller boat, but its always a good idea to use a block of wood or a landscape block under the trailer jack when you set the boat on the lawn in case it rains so it will not sink into the lawn. Also all those spare prop parts and old props should be stored somewhere on the boat with tools just in case you need them. Came in handy for me once after hitting a submerged log. Enjoy watching you two, your awesome : )
Great job and nicely edited! Just a pointer on starting an engine when its out of the water. Always hook up the garden hose with water, even if its only a quick start. You don't need water for engine cooling, but you do need it for lubricating the water impeller that's inside the lower unit. The rubber impeller will melt almost immediately if it doesn't have water to lube/cool it.
Definitely keep the other props for emergency spares! I would highly suggest you redo the rear tie down strap bolts and put the eye bolts into the metal frame of the trailer. A boat that size could tear those eye bolts out of the wood if it shifted.
You can send the injectors out to be cleaned professionally places like Mr Injector cleans them and flow test them and replaces all the filters, o rings, spacers and pintle caps and they come back brand new

5:15 A bit of advice, before loading back the trailer far enough to wet the boards then pull ahead to desired location (make sure you don’t exceed the concrete & drop off the end) wetting the boards will basically lubricate & help load easier, especially with a boat that size.

When you store your boat do you want to jack the trailer up to get the tires off the ground and you also want to bar tire covers you can get them at any RV place by Jacqueline above the ground you don’t have to wait on the tires to crack the tires
Y'all's first boat video came up in my suggestions and now I am hooked on the channel!! So happy for y'all God bless stay safe and I can't wait for more 😆
An absolute blessing to have been able to land such a deal. Very happy for you guys. A Labor of Love that both of you do so well. Brilliant work Guys!! Love it!!
Yeah I'm with you on the tires but the scenario where you have a blowout on the interstate pulling that behemoth would cost way more than all of those tires
One tire blowout you would be fine. Enough to get to somewhere safe. Old tires that have been sitting with weight.. no good. Did that on a RV.. lost all of them one by one.
Good Move with the trailer tires, I'm a pro driver, I pass alot of people hauling trailers, on the side of the Highway...wishing they were somewhere else...
In 2006 wife and I bought a 38 ft Chris craft in downtown Washington DC, with live-aboard status for 40,000. Lived on it for 10 years. Loved every minute of it.
When you were changing the lights in back, use the metal loop that was in the picture for the rear straps. The hole in the bunk that you did is only as good as the wood itself is. When you need it, the wood might not be strong enough. Also make sure that you change out the raw water pump impeller. Never know when it was changed last. When pulling out the boat, Get your bunks wet first and then pull up. I usually just show the tips of the bunks, but that will vary. If you always go to one ramp, then mark the water level that works best, and make sure that you can see the mark in the camera. Enjoy and be safe, remember to turn off the blower when fueling and back on when your done. Last thing you need is to have a spark around fuel that is within the boat.
I agree, the tie downs need to be in the metal of the trailer frame, not the wood. Also make sure your tie down straps are up to the job, they each need to be rated greater than the weight of the boat in case one come loose.
Dang, just as I was typing a suggestion to strap the boat down, you mentioned it. Good job. Guide poles on the rear of the trailer may help as well on windy days.
You're probably aware of this already but, I would recommend an anchor alarm app to monitor if your anchor slips during the night and also the Navionics app. Really enjoy the videos 😋
Maybe out in the ocean, but a lake I wouldn't see the need. Lakes are full of mud and shit so anchors tend to hold a lot better than they will in sand or coral.
BE CAREFUL THAT YOUR BOW DOESN'T HIT THOSE EYE BOLTS WHEN LOADING / UNLOADING THE BOAT. I THINK THEY SHOULD HAVE GONE ON THE TRAILER ITSELF. WOOD IS GOING TO GIVE...

I always had waterproof led lights on my trailer and still found i was blowing fuses in the truck. So anytime i go to launch I unplug the trailer and no problems since. Love the channel!
Depends if you have trailer brakes or not. If you unplug the plug you can't back up the boat to launch it cause the brakes will lock up theres a switch in the wiring that unlocks the brakes in reverse allowing you to back up
@@nathanbutler8240 an electric trailer brake uses power to apply the brakes, not to release them. A surge brake will lock in reverse if you don't manually override it with the lever.

The boat is so heavy it's not going to bounce off the trailer it will bust off the wood pad
Anyone who’s owned a boat saw your previous video and thought, “Can’t wait time see them make the same mistake I did!” Unfortunately for the viewers you guys nailed it. “Great deal on that boat!” Is a pretty rare comment.
P.S. Your family is adorable. Have fun!
This has to be in the top five of my favourite buyer/finder videos. Perfect👍
In addition to just simply enjoying your content, I like how you acknowledge comments.
I think ya'll got a good deal on the boat . It's always so refreshing to hear such positive words from You two .I hope you have a wonderful time on your camping trip and catch some fish with the kids
In 1983, my wife & I drove from Wisconsin down to Lake Ouachita on our honeymoon & camped along the shore & sailed in an 11 ft Snark. Fell in love with the Ozarks & have been back many times since. Love your videos.
don't listen to the naysayers. They're sitting home watching reruns of F troop, while you guys are enjoying your life and boating.
Couldn't said it better. The smiles on there face say it all.
nothing wrong with the boat, and keep enjoying life with family. God bless y"all
Wow...congratz with your purchase! And yes...I must agree with some of the other comments...girl...you have the right attitude for boating. Your man is one lucky dude. Not many of you out there...I only know two of you...the other one is my best-half....hehe.
We wishing you both endless days & nights of fun in the sun. Be safe and take care.

CHECK THE WHEEL BEARINGS ON THE TRAILER!!! Get an infrared thermometer to check them on long road trips, takes 30 seconds each time you stop.
Having served in The U.S. Coast Guard I'd like to help you out with your safety needs. The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary will give you free safety inspections if you look up your local Auxiliary Unit and call them. Great buy and beautiful boat. Happy boating guys!
Bryan Wheeler Thank you so much, Bryan!!
@@flyingsparksgarage It would even be cool if you guys did an on camera inspection with the coast guard, it could be vary informative.
That is an awesome offer from Bryan all right. You will be boarded one day by the lake patrol for a little "safety inspection".
Bryan. Don’t forget your PPE and PFD and your 70000000 form to diraux for VE approval. At least in 5NR.
I just started watching y'alls videos and I must say I really enjoy them. Also, I don't care what anyone says, for $6,250ish dollars that is an incredible boat to have. Really great find!
Thanks so much!!!! We’re so grateful for this boat and for all the folks like you that enjoy watching our adventures!!!
Love this couple they actually work great together. And a woman that can be helpful with tools very hot.
She poundable
I love how they praise each other for the work they each do. Very nice to see that.
Hopefully, they are christians reading the Bible. Then this family can go the distance.
Awesome
@@codybear59 huh?
It's not the boat, Which is sweet and well worth the price, it's you. You are a natural at "hosting". The fact that you can get your hands dirty and do it like a pro is a bonus.
I wouldn’t run the boat tie down points to the wood of the trailer. Run them to the metal frame of the trailer.
wrong !
My concern more is the eye's of the bolrs are inboard and hull punches when loading and uploading
The wooden beams they attached them to look pretty substantial, but longer straps would give more elasticity and better take any shock loadings.
$6250. :-)
Happy boating!!
i want ya'll to pick my next lotto numbers...you got a hell of a deal...many happy boating days!
They got lucky by working hard.
It is a pleasure to watch you two work as a team. Bless you guys.
It's great to see such a positive happy woman.
I am enjoying watching your adventures and attitudes. Love it.
I would recommend using a forged structural shouldered eyebolt for the trailer tie down rather than the non-structrual kind that's not a joined circle.
She is the reason I watch her every episode she make my day she is awsome
100% correct. they stick and rip in a single turn
Exactly.
yep! i was thinkin the same thing
This guy is awesome...mad skills and a great wife! I wish he was my neighbor!
Definitely keep the other props for emergency spares! I would highly suggest you redo the rear tie down strap bolts and put the eye bolts into the metal frame of the trailer. A boat that size could tear those eye bolts out of the wood if it shifted.
You can send the injectors out to be cleaned professionally places like Mr Injector cleans them and flow test them and replaces all the filters, o rings, spacers and pintle caps and they come back brand new
79tazman We have sent injectors off before- we only had a few days though 🤓
Bring or rent some bikes???
Hi guys I'm from Toronto, Canada and I bumped into your segment of you buying your boat.what a great big chance that is to take but it worked and am soo happy for you guys . Getting the boat to work and Cleaned up just put you in a better place financially and you know what that is.I hope to keep following you and also a great big shout out to you as well thanks for putting a smile on my face to see things work out for you...your new subscriber Elvis.
Hi Elvis!! Welcome, so glad you found us!! Thanks so much for taking the time to write these kind words! We’re glad you’re here 😉
I can't help smiling back at you guys, as I watch you on your wonderful adventure.... its great to see someone so excited about something.
SEPARATE BEDS and the whole show is AN ACT.
The two of you guys are blessed to have each other I love this show cheers from Jacksonville Florida
Cover the trailer tires. They’ll stay crack free longer! Have fun..
5:15 A bit of advice, before loading back the trailer far enough to wet the boards then pull ahead to desired location (make sure you don’t exceed the concrete & drop off the end) wetting the boards will basically lubricate & help load easier, especially with a boat that size.
G'day from OZ guys.
Love the deal you got! Always good to see nice folk bag a bargain👍
Hope you have many happy family times on the new toy.
Love the vids. I'm one of the newby's here.

You guys are doing an awesome job,i love the way you work together. I'm so happy for you .You're such positive happy people ,wish you all the best ,from Canada.
Love watching all you guys working together Emily is always happy and smiling Love Your projects
When you store your boat do you want to jack the trailer up to get the tires off the ground and you also want to bar tire covers you can get them at any RV place by Jacqueline above the ground you don’t have to wait on the tires to crack the tires
Love how he drives the boat. Like hes driving a car. I was the exact same way when I got my first boat. Scared as shit. I feel u my friend.
Y'all's first boat video came up in my suggestions and now I am hooked on the channel!! So happy for y'all God bless stay safe and I can't wait for more 😆
Faithful Trucking SO COOL to hear!!! Thanks so much!!

An absolute blessing to have been able to land such a deal. Very happy for you guys. A Labor of Love that
both of you do so well.
"Good job Aaron'' I love it when she says that
As you get old and look back at your life working together will shine brighter than anything else. It's what it's all about. IMO.
Good Move with the trailer tires, I'm a pro driver, I pass alot of people hauling trailers, on the side of the Highway...wishing they were somewhere else...
When working outside on the lawn I usually put an old sheet or blanket under the wheel I'm working on. You won't loose any small parts.
And a sandy soil is never a good mix for lubricated parts.
Dude you hit the JACKPOT!!! With this beautiful women!! Love watching your adventures.... keep em coming!

Love to see this couple... respectful and cheering each other
Thanks buddy 🙏🏼💕
Dang, just as I was typing a suggestion to strap the boat down, you mentioned it. Good job. Guide poles on the rear of the trailer may help as well on windy days.
You're probably aware of this already but, I would recommend an anchor alarm app to monitor if your anchor slips during the night and also the Navionics app.
Really enjoy the videos 😋
Maybe out in the ocean, but a lake I wouldn't see the need. Lakes are full of mud and shit so anchors tend to hold a lot better than they will in sand or coral.
@@codylapoint no body anchors in coral you won't get it back. Any anchor can slip in a strong wind. Better safe on the water than being wise after.
Just came across your video and have to say, I can feel, your excitement that you two have for your boat. Enjoy it and stay safe!
That Doggy is living the good life😅
BE CAREFUL THAT YOUR BOW DOESN'T HIT THOSE EYE BOLTS WHEN LOADING / UNLOADING THE BOAT.
I THINK THEY SHOULD HAVE GONE ON THE TRAILER ITSELF.
WOOD IS GOING TO GIVE...
I love that you guys know how to work on the engine and installation of various parts. So happy for you both.
Wow, what a bargain and a really nice couple. I bought a flat on the Isle of Bute just off the West Coast of Scotland, next time you get a chance of a great boat give me a shout....really jealous...lol 😀😀😀
If the comment about the "cam or a miss" was non-scripted, she just became that much more of a keeper.
She could have not said that and would still be a definite keeper, but because she did... bow to the Queen! ;-)
@@Lees920......One thing that makes it so watchable to me is they are both so knowledgeable and good at what they're doing yet not afraid at times to say I don't know!
A couple things to say about these videos... They are freaking awesome.. What a genuine, whole hearted approach to adventure. This is what my America truely is.. People stepping out having a beautiful time discovering and learning something new.. Remember, haters means your winning.. Haters means you doing something perfectly.. Haters means you should continue doing exactly what you doing.. Bayliner bottom of the barrel?.. Haha hahaha.. Whatever.. Yall are sleeping on a boat in the middle of lake..haters ain't doing that.. I always had waterproof led lights on my trailer and still found i was blowing fuses in the truck. So anytime i go to launch I unplug the trailer and no problems since. Love the channel!
good tip
I've always done the same. Waterproof lights or not.
@@robertpontius1689 my mistake I have hydraulic brakes on my trailer if my plug isn't plugged in i can't back up cause it pushes on the master cylinder on the trailer and locks the brakes unless the electrical is plugged into the truck
Anyone with a negative comment about this couple or their content is nuts.....They're Awesome!
Seem like some very good folks. Hope you all enjoy yourselves!
I’ve always strapped all my boats down on the back like that. Good call adding those hold down straps
Too right, boats should be strapped, 12' or 120'. Gravity is only useful when you're working with it, once things start to go sideways gravity ain't always your buddy.
I have towed my 22 ft..with no strap's 1,500 miles straight..no problem..I don't think y'all need them strap's.but your call.i have never ever had an issue...in 15 years .. hauling that boat around...
Great boat by the way..very pretty wife.. supportive...you guys go man go...👍👍👍👍
@@DonCatherman well I experienced the bad side of not strapping the boat down. Went maybe 50 miles and found the boat sitting on it's side. Went to an auto shop and they hooked onto the outdrive and lifted up the boat so we could reposition it. 20 foot boat. It was pouring down rain when we pulled it out and decided to skip it. Well it didn't work out for us. But, I see people pulling boats all the time without tie straps and I guess don't have a problem. So who knows, I always strap my Malibu surf boat down for sure. Straps are built into the trailer. Happy trailering.

When changing out trailer receiver hitch balls, turn the hitch horizontal in the receiver pending on tighten or loosing so that your always pushing the wrench down. Makes the job much safer & easier. Good video!
