I was there for the first time that year and rode on the tri motor that same day also!! I was in heaven! Absolutely amazing place if you're an airplane lover. It's amazing weather and the people are also! No littering, no rude loud obnoxious people that the police have to be there to keep In line or any of that. Just amazing people. Just wish the heck I had a gal like her to share it with!
Lovely SKYHAWK TOO? Awesome ! Not to write a book this time but its great to see you enjoy yourselves as we did. I currently fly a Beech King Air C90A for a car dealership (many dealers, lol)fir iver a decade now and may retire in another year, not sure .We enjoyed Oshkosh too.Dad's last plane was a Piper Apache Geronimo. Lots of fun.
i am sure that you have heard this a million times, but i think you are beautiful. and from a 67 year old man, who has never been in a plane, god bless you guys. i would never get into a plane like yours
Just wondering ... Is there even one person who ever watched one of these videos, and DIDN'T SAY "My God she's Beautiful "? I didn't think so. Love the videos! Keep it up you two!
Yes, she is very beautiful, but that’s not what caught my eye. She is a total double for my mom’s youngest sister. Growing up she was only 9 years older than me so she was more like my sister than my aunt. My point is everybody has a double somewhere in the world.
Enjoyed your adventure! I came here after watching the Big Boat video. I'm a boater and plane buff. Took flying lessons as a teen but couldn't afford it. Now that I can at 53, I've never took the leap. Ya'll allowed me to experience the flying /traveling thrill again. Thanks
You guys are too much. Boat, plane, fly-in to Oshkosh, cars, lovely shop. Awesome. But one thing to keep close to is your hearts. And to one another. Do what you must to keep the marriage strong. We did some backpacking, boats, great vacations with the kids, skiing with the boys, and etc. But the biggest thing we did was make it to our 48th wedding anniversary, and it's this this week. That accomplishment was far and away better than all the toys and adventures. Wit a lot of joy and laughter along the way. So keep one another first, stay close to God and have a great life.
My younger bro got his ppl, I dabbled in light sport for abit working towards ultralight...it is so refreshing to see y'all livin such an enriched lifestyle...safe travels....flyins great....watchin a lot of flyins/departures on you tube...Oshkosh seems to be a stimulating adventure to say the least...well worth it I'd say...bucket list...
I've volunteered directing aircraft at oshkosh for the last 25 yrs, Every year I watch, and usually spot certain UA-cam stars in the aviation community (Barron pilot, 310 pilot, Airshow stuff...) Now I'm gonna have watch for you guys up there too!!
I have memories that are special, Road America, Milwaukee Mile and the EAA fly in. We even went one year that I scored VIP passes for the Lincoln Aviator and a flight on the B17 Bomber. Great memories.
Watched your boating video then Google recommended this one. Brings back memories from when I flew to Oshkosh for the airshow in 1980 from St Louis. In was madness even back then to get on the ground. Prior to getting to Ripon they reported traffic pattern saturation and instructed everyone to find a barn and circle. Eventually, they called everybody back and it was a swarm of bees trying to line up along the railroad tracks. They landed 3 planes at a time; one long, one mid, and one short. It was really cool camping with everyone and their planes next to runway 9. I started my career working on the B-1B. It also blows my mind how big it is every time It see it in person!
Most pilots do, just don't show it on camera so often. You'll often hear people mention W&B as they're prepping for a flight but not too many show the process of calculating it.
Its a really fun time, have tons of family in the area. If you ever go again rent a car and go to Ardy and Eds, its not far from the Airport and its like being in the 50s! Girls on roller skates and classic style burgers
So I stumbled across you guys when the $5k boat video popped up in suggestions... Turns out you're both into cars and planes too !! Subscribed, hit the bell, catching up on a few older videos as well 😎👌
You two are an amazing couple to share that trip with others who don't have the opportunity to do what you guys do that's wonderful most people keep it to themselves but I definitely enjoyed it thank you thank you and lots of luck lots of success for both you guys you're great
I have not been in years. Pathetic considering I live in MI and fly for a living. I so miss going there. Thanks for sharing your trip to another group of fanatics (car people). Hopefully see you there some day? If they hold it this year.
Cool video! Appreciate the ride along. Emily, hang on to Aaron. His cautious nature will be a great aid in your travels. Good call to not play with the weather. IMC is no fun, especially in unfamiliar BUSY airspace! One of the first things I learned, many years ago, about flight [I started at 14] is that is by far better to be on the ground wishing to be up in the air than to be in the air, wishing you were on the ground. Peace!
Your Tri Motor pilot was Bill. He is defacto 2nd in charge (NF Janis is boss!) of Metro Warbirds. Usually right by I-195. MWB is a group of friends that has been meeting in Oshkosh since 1982 or 3. Say hey one day.
I think we were neighbors at Fond du Lac. Maroon and white C-182 on the front row just to the north of you. How cool. Great job on the coverage of OSH 18
First thing caught my eye was your Bayliner Ciera 2855 with a Bravo 3 on a 454, ( my 2nd fav video search), then there’s Ellie’s excellent in-frame commentary and camera work !!! Not to mention she turns a wrench! Now they FLY, too! Flight vlogs are my #1 fav video search. Suggest add the boat model
If you’ve ever had to work on bad connections in the dark and the rain(snow), you gain a greater appreciation for shrink tubing and terminals. You’re not wrong though...😬
Thank you for bringing us along. Very cool. I just recently discovered Mike Patey and the whole Draco experience. That guy's awesome. Would love to go someday
New to me, Your channels are really amazing, especially the $5000 boat purchase Imtotally envious, im out £2000 for a 16.5 foot Orkney fishing boat, trailer, fishfinder,15 hp mercury 4 stroke, and least butnot last 1 set of oars for use in fresh and sea water Going to put steering wheel system and front cabin to allow a little weather relief, the extra front weight will even out the pitch of the boat as at present Its all in the back, plus if i put cabin on it the wife will come out with me on fishing trips, im in my 60's so need to get a move on and save some dollars to do the work through this winter, your channel has put 5his project on the front burner, thanks guys, your a magical couple we enjoy the craic and magnatism you produce Take care, stay safe, and keep it lit.👍
Nice trip, I really enjoyed it! If you haven't flown into KOSH keep trying. Its fun every time. My buddy and I have done it 11 years in a row and it never loses the exhilaration. Keep trying.
Always fun to watch, glad we got to see the Skylane flying. Does not surprise me that you model; what does surprise me is how beautiful you are dressed up. Love your smile. This is was an awesome video; so many venues, planes. Great job.
Wish i would have been in Fond du Lac for EAA, I grew up 10 miles south of the airport there. I remember when I was a kid, all the acrobatic planes practicing over the top of the house. I never went there when I lived there. It was always just annoying with all the planes days and night, the road traffic was killer trying to get to Green Bay. Now that I've been gone from the area for 26 years, I kinda miss it and just might head back down in '19. I still have friends and family there, so I'm sure I'd have a place to stay. Maybe we'll catch up to each other. BTW: I'm still catching up on all the vids, so now you can see my progress :) Love your show and all the content!
Great video and way cool. I miss flying myself. Last thing I flew back in 2016 was a 182. I keep getting reminded I need to get "current" again and get back in the pilot game! Of course for some reason every time I do an IPC it's always IMC! Nothing like keeping things real!
From a commercial pilot with thousands of hours in Cessna singles flying in Canadian bush... here's a shortcut tip: Once you're loaded up tip the tail down. If it stays down, your CoG is too far aft. If it drops back onto the nose-wheel, you're good. Of course it doesn't give you any indication of whether you're within GW limits, but its a quick measure for balance. That said you probably shouldn't take advice from a random on youtube. But try it, do both your W&B and the tail drop test in a few different configurations and you'll see it works.
A&P Tech here... just found your channel this year. Was watching the car repair stuff and got really excited seeing your aircraft. I grew up working in my dad's auto repair shop but went into aviation right out of high school. I'd be happy to help if your ever near Myrtle beach or Eastern NC.
Love the vid and love old airplanes, I live in the land of Grumman & Republic so lots of aviation history here. Grumman: Wildcat, Hellcat, Tigercat, Tomcat, and the Lunar Module....Republic: P-47, F-84, F-105 and the A-10 Thunderbolt II is still flying..... they were last built here in 1984 in East Farmingdale Long Island.
Glad you came to Wisconsin! I live about 50 mi a little north and west of there. You may have flown over my head in the Ford plane. I have not been to EAA, it's a traffic nightmare plus I have to use a battery powered chair and they always put China batteries in it. Steady use time is only about 2 hours so when she's out of juice, there ya are. Usually the furthest area from the van. Wish the weather would have been better for you, it usually is. You still managed to have a good time and that's what matters. The Iola car show is pretty neat in July if you are interested. It is about 6 miles from me and we do have a small airport for your size plane. I can get you in there pretty easy. All the best!
I loved this one Em! I appreciate the time you take to shoot moments in you adventure and B-roll and this was on your vacation time! Your so good to your fans! Thanks for the water planes... seaplanes? Idk... I've always love those! This was so fun!! I still dont know how you keep it all together sis! You guys are so busy! 😉👍✌
Malachi Stowe Sure do appreciate it Kai!!!! It’s a whole lot of work, especially the full ‘in the shop with Emily’ episodes because these blogs aren’t as refined!
Very cool!! I know nothing about airplanes, had no clue that people build their own, wow!! Loved the rotary and LS powered examples! That air traffic was nuts 😳!!!
I live in Oshkosh. The P51 is at Fond du Lac every year and gives rides. $1600 for twenty minutes FYI. No I haven't yet but would like to. Maybe next year.
We also have the Flight of Aces each Memorial Day weekend and the planes that fly in come right over our house, we've seen the B-17, B-25, B-29 and a weekly fly over of a squadron of A-6 Texans based at Republic Airport in Farmingdale.
Cool seaplanes...Lee Roy Grumman started building Seaplanes in Bethpage LI because a few wealthy Gold Coast businessmen were sick of taking the Long Island RR into NYC so he starting building executive transport that could land on water...and the rest is history....
I stumbled onto your channel, You all are troopers setting up tents in the rain nicely done. I'm, not a pilot just an aficionado of flight. You are both cool individuals keep it up..
Awesome video long time no see that was awesome no Motors no cars no trucks no diesel just to vacation for you to that was awesome glad to see you too keep up the good work and be safe
Nice video! I am a commercial pilot. And love wrenching on old cars. I watch car videos on the road, in my down time, which is how I happened upon your channel. I haven't been to OSH in YEARS! We are planning for 2019. Maybe we'll run into you then!?
I really pity the ATC controllers at OSH. Trying to get everyone lined up and spaced out for landing. Find a plane with performance specs close to you and follow them in. No comms can be a PITA , but imagine the time they save. Just wave your wings and follow instructions. It helps to have a couple extra sets of eyes on board with that much traffic around you, but the trip is totally worth it! Enjoyed your videos, you have a new subscriber here!
Wow such an cool event, I'm a Conductor for the railroad and would love to get my pilots license and make it to oshkosh that looks like alot of fun, camping etc....keep those videos coming
Excellent videos! Glad I stumbled across your channel. I’m in the process of getting my PPL. My Dad and I made a 18hr drive this year from Texas to Oshkosh 18. It was awesome. Hoping to fly there next time. Great videos!!
GREAT Video....... I made it to Oshkosh first time '18 and the traffic was a handful, backed up all the way to the freeway off ramp (lol)... glad my medical is down 'cause the stress of FLYING in might a bit too much at my age and then there is the tent thing under wing .....no Sleep Number bed .... rain ,wind, lightning... AHhhhhhhhhhhhh bah.... BUT I had a blast, was worn out walking for miles and days, then I found out if ya donate to the guy with the cart (EAA) and make it a big tip he will run around with you all day.... HOPE you folks had as much fun as I did ! And yes I did enjoy your adventure, .......I LOVE ALL THINGS AVIATION,.....Thanks for posting .
Flying Sparks Garage Just found your channel. Good stuff! I live in Wisconsin always wanted to go to the Air Show their, just never made it happen. You probably flew over my house on your way up through - I'm under a lot of cross traffic for Janesville / Madison / Milwaukee etc......
We have friends who own a grass runway! Flying Oaks Airport just north of Fort Worth. (2TE2) almost everyone out there flys tail draggers! You should check out their FB page they have a monthly fly in! You could get some great stories and see some really old bi-planes!
When I was a little kid I used to love planes. The cool factor those chunks of weird shaped metal or wood could fly, blew my mind. Then I realized how expensive it was and though it wasnt a big thing like cars are. I only have been to an airshow or two and I remember about 5 seconds of a warplane being like 5 or less so I dont remember how big they were but seeing that field of planes upon planes upon planes is amazing. Imagine a car show filling that amount of space.. also you and Aaron like boats and planes so much why dont you guys get a seaplane lol
Awesome video! We flew in IFR on Saturday and depending on your definition of luck, we perhaps were lucky (save the crazy weather). Uploaded the last part but still need to edit and upload the full trip. Thanks for sharing!!❤️
Emily and Aaron: (2-year late comment, :-) Thank you for sharing your adventurous experience in Oshkosh. I felt like I were there by watching your video. I will surely plan on going when it opens up again after the pandemic. __Alex (ps, nice day job, Emily, :-))
I love airplanes but that is way beyond saturation point! I tried to follow the traffic on FlightAware there but it was impossible, and I think that only shows ADS-B compliant aircraft! I love ya'll's flying videos. Ellie is a nice little bird.
Great video! You guys came up in my recommended videos.. Now I'm off to rummage through all your other videos! 😍 You know those STOL guys that performed at the Ultralight field? That was ME!!! ;) (well, me and my pals)
Nice video. Frustrating weather/traffic for sure. Our family was/is (I've moved away) was very lucky . . . we'd walk down steps to our doc, lower hoist, hop in boat, scoot across the waves for 25 mins. Then back at end of days. Of course, making sure to keep mouths closed...lest eat several of the infamous Winnebago _Lake Flies_ ... *yuck*
Love you guys. Boats and airplanes. I’m a retired airline pilot, use to have a Piper 235, I now have a Carver 396.
As a pilot and a boater, I congratulate you guys on knowing how to live your lives with quality! Keep up the great work and God bless!
You guys are such a fun couple of Watch now I am a subscriber thanks for the videos especially the one on the John Deere tractor
Peter Mendoza Too cool!!!!! Aviation family!! Appreciate you watching!!
Two kinds of people in world, watchers and doers. You guys definitely live it to fullest. Enjoy!
i am sure that you have heard this a million times, but i think you are beautiful. and from a 67 year old man, who has never been in a plane, god bless you guys. i would never get into a plane like yours
cuznjo1 thank ya so much, sir!
The plane is super fun!!
cuznjo1 Well said my friend, I couldn’t agree more ! (About her I mean, not the plane) 😁😎
Emily your smile is so infectious!.
I worked in Aviation, this was a double win video for me. Thanks.
Love your Garage see the car you work on
Enjoyed your adventure!
Tuned in for the aviation, stayed for the beautiful smile and charming personality. Dude, you’re lucky and I’m now a subscriber.
Excellent aviation planning. Aaron has pilot smarts way beyond his flying hours.
Great video. Sorry you couldn't fly all the way in. It did get crowded. At 14:14 in your video is my red and white Cherokee 180 in the background.
Steve Austin That’s too cool!!! Thanks for watching and I love that you spotted your plane!
I'm so happy to see someone paying attention to weight and balance. I soloed in a plane identintical to that one.
Most pilots do, just don't show it on camera so often. You'll often hear people mention W&B as they're prepping for a flight but not too many show the process of calculating it.
This is one of the best videos of OSH that I've seen 😂 awesome!
Glad ya had some really good times 🎉🎉❤
Til next time 🙏💗
Hello there, I got to see your show about that nice boat. Great show....
Been to fly-in a bunch of times, its outstanding. ATC is nutty busy and its been that way even back 30+ years ago.
Flying, modding cars and boats.... This is the perfect channel!!
Cool video! Appreciate the ride along. Emily, hang on to Aaron. His cautious nature will be a great aid in your travels. Good call to not play with the weather. The Commentator in this is extremely uplifting, she just makes even looking at shrink sleeve fun.

Thank you for bringing us along. Very cool. I just recently discovered Mike Patey and the whole Draco experience. That guy's awesome. Would love to go someday
New to me,
Your channels are really amazing, especially the $5000 boat purchase
Imtotally envious, im out £2000 for a 16.5 foot Orkney fishing boat, trailer, fishfinder,15 hp mercury 4 stroke, and least butnot last 1 set of oars
for use in fresh and sea water
Going to put steering wheel system and front cabin to allow a little weather relief, the extra front weight will even out the pitch of the boat as at present
Its all in the back, plus if i put cabin on it the wife will come out with me on fishing trips, im in my 60's so need to get a move on and save some dollars to do
the work through this winter, your channel has put 5his project on the front burner, thanks guys, your a magical couple we enjoy the craic and magnatism you produce
Take care, stay safe, and keep it lit.👍
That high wing comes in handy stuck on the ramp in the rain. Low wing flyer myself, but that looked pretty useful. Loved your video.
Great job.
that was a cool well made little video. Never had seen those self propelled motorized gliders! those were crazy!!!!
You guys are awesome, so talented and adventuresome! Thanks for the video!

Better than TV? Hell yeah!
That was the best Oshkosh video I’ve ever watched. You two know how to do it! What can’t Arron do?
Flying Sparks and living your dreams. Boats, cars, airplanes, and pretty women! Thanks for the video.

Thank you so much for taking US with you! You 2 Rock!
Can’t get over how much she looks like Jennifer Nettles of sugar land!! Love the vlog!!!
You are exactly right Benny, she is the spittin image of Jenifer Nettles.

Another fun travel / event video. Very cool to see "bow tie" swapped aircraft . Take care
I started watching your television show and low behold I find you are pilots and on UA-cam I'm following you two.
keith rogers Too cool, thank you!!!
Yes, the network found us here on UA-cam! ♥️🙏🏼
There’s a lot of fun stuff here on Flying Sparks Garage! 🙌🏼
Awesome video long time no see that was awesome no Motors no cars no trucks no diesel just to vacation for you to that was awesome glad to see you too keep up the good work and be safe
You guys are awesome. I work at RIAT every year but Oskotch would be a dream to see. (Royal International Air Tatoo -UK)
I wish I would have known you guys were 15 miles away from where I live! It would have been so cool to meet you two.
That was cool, thanks you guys for taking us along.. couldnt help but chuckle @ the float plane intro (yeh id say something like that too)
This guy would be a great guy to have around. A real gear head
Great video interesting what you get up to. Exciting life for you both , thanks for posting
Wow such an cool event, I'm a Conductor for the railroad and would love to get my pilots license and make it to oshkosh that looks like alot of fun, camping etc....keep those videos coming
Stephen Alcorn Do it! It’s a blast, debating if I want to fly to Oshkosh next year.
What an awesome experience, thank you for sharing ! you guys are great.
Great video you guys. The guy I mow for part time goes there every year and spends a week...
Another top weekend. And a good video. Covered lots. Looks like you had a great time. 😉🤗👍👍
Flying Sparks Garage
Just found your channel. Good stuff!
I live in Wisconsin always wanted to go to the Air Show their, just never made it happen.
You probably flew over my house on your way up through - I'm under a lot of cross traffic for Janesville / Madison / Milwaukee etc......
You two are truly blessed
We want to someday! Lol!!!
If you want a car show that big go to the dream cruise in detroit.
Love when you share the flying portion of your adventures.
I'm from St. Louis MO so that's kinda cool too.
Blue Sky's guys!
love the aviation content!! always dreamed to fly.
So cool seeing you guys up in our neck of the woods!
Maybe it was better not to fly right in ? So busy there. The B29's and the P51's have been faves since childhood. Thanks for bringing us along : ]
Thanks for the heads up on WireCare !!!
I liked your boat video wow you guys got a plane too!!! Are either one of you a&p mechanics? Thank you for making that video very cool!!
Awesome video on planes...thank you
Just found your channel through the magic of suggestions. Cool stuff and WOW what a catch you are. Lucky man!
Wow what fun this must be. Love the flying vids. Would love to see that air show. BTW you're a beautiful model.

*yuck*
