Tug you are a good teacher a great human being. I just love your show. I especially like the fact that you said come here you can rent this place out. That was a nice thing to do most people think they have to hoard the whole ocean, but you’re not that way about you
While red fishing on the water early morning, I watched an old Asian guy 80+ years old and stood about 4.2 feet throw a huge 14'-16' cast net perfectly every cast for 45 minutes. I was so impressed I had to ask how he does it so easily. He said, throwing a cast net over 70 years makes it pretty easy to be a professional...lol
Thanks Tug for showing people today of how it's done in your day .For us old guys up here on the Chesapeake Bay have done it al most the same way. But please be safe for the storm' that is coming you way. For in 2003 Isabel with a 9 ft tidal surge took my house away on the Bay. For all the people that have been affected by that last storm, my heart go's out to them in everyway. For my old friends of military times in N.C and east Tennessee. For I have not herd from them, so may God be with you all, Old, Master Gunnery SGT USMC.
I am so sad that my dad didn't live long enough to see your show! He was a great Texas fisherman when he wasn't welding or hunting deer. His spirit is with you. God bless you all!
This is really working for a meal now! i use to shrimp on the river also, been 20 years but always filled 2 50 gallon coolers with little effort..ha ha/ I love the work out throwing a big net.
I want to take a minute out to thank you. All of your video's, are educational and great. You are also a down to earth guy with a positive attitude. I always look forward to watching them. Take care.
Tug chokes on a bug, I choke on my beer and spit across the room...good laugh! Thanks for all the hard work for our entertainment, your gonna "fly" high in the youtube
I like to use quaker oats blended, tuna in oil and fish oil mixed its about 1 cup oats to 1/2 can tuna and about 3 tbs fish oil. Small bites on a hook work great for small fish and if you put into a bigger lump and tie a bit of line on the hook prior it will catch bass as it looks like a mouse
It is my first time coming across your channel and i am enjoying it a lot. How it's presented, the explanations and break downs etc. Just subscribed for more entertaining content. Keep it up guys.
Wow, what a nice haul! Tug, you are a master baiter! This was way more fun than watching guys pull metal junk out of a river with a magnet on a line! Keep up the good work!
Yel ,like it .Use to live on the St.Johns river around Green Cove Springs, Orangedale.doing it exactly like that.Thats how ya do it.Miss it down there.
Outstanding video of Catching river shrimp and the best part w😢as the famous TUG cleaning shrimp cooking shrimp and eating a outstanding meal of fries , shrimp and ublix Seltzer water !!!!! Shrimp on .......
Go to the jetty areas and take a couple of lanterns, pole nets and a bright flash light. Catch the incoming tide and turn on your lighting. Scoop um up with the nets, and there you have it. All you want.....
Love the videos bud. I'm from/live in Western NY (BUFFALO) Buffalo sauce is simple!! You Must Use Franks Hot sauce. Sauce only is Hot, 25% butter and a redish orange is medium. 50/50 butter and Franks (Bright orange) is mild ✌️
Love It! Back from the OBX remodeling job. I caught trout every night we were down there and 2 Cobia. One was about 6 foot long! Had a blast there! Tried throwing my cast net, totally failed! Forgot how I used to do it! 😂❤
I have got to get back to doing this kind of thing. I get older and my vacations are further apart and more expensive. Id rather do more trips like this where everyone can be a part of the catching. Fun stuff.
We used to mix corn flour and wheat flour and pour them into an old pillow case. Poke some small holes in it. Put that pillow case into a burlap sack tie a rope on it and toss it into a patch of grass where you expect shrimp to be at, and soon you will have a bucket full of shrimp stuck in the burlap.
Commented earlier, just had to watch some more of this video.yel we would fish the back sides of the dock with the live shrimp.tear up red fish fish ,black bass, your name it we caught them.lol Shrimp Good.
Great video Ian! You and Harold slayed it. Love seeing you guys banter & give it to each other. lol. Then the back & forth with Krystal was awesome. What an amazing crunch on the shrimp. Thanks for sharing!!!
Another great video. Thanks . Already been to Sandra's twice this season and have one more trip planned in 2 weeks. Hopefully the shrimp will still be there. Done great both times even the night Helene went past. Need to come up and see Harold to get a couple more traps. Keep the good videos coming look forward to seeing them
You really are an amazing dude bro hard working family man who loves seafood I love your videos I can t throw a cast net to save my life lol it's sad been fishing 41 years still can't throw one
Tugs! Great video! Could you load a chum bag with the cattle cubes and sink it with a weight then Tie it off the the dock? Maybe I’m over complicating things! Love your videos
Those orange and blue baskets are actually called scale baskets. They used to be used up here in the northeast to catch the catch the scales of fish as they came over the rails.
awesome vid! im up here off a creek of the CHincoteague bay in MD and have a ton of shrimp ( find em in my boat), going to try this bait meal thing! so many shrimp are north of where they used to be
We stayed on a canal once in the obx and shrimp were everywhere. We used canned cat food and it seemed to work pretty well. Had all the shrimp we could eat plus live bait for the week.
Man I can’t believe how good the shrimping is there. Awesome video TUG, thanks for all the knowledge you share with us I appreciate all your videos and always learn something from them . Thanks again bud👍
I guess I need to say, I would like to be in the same position. I work in a Nursing Home. I'm too exhausted to do any kind of fishing on a day off. I'm exhausted. Wish I had the luxury ever. I need to work so much to keep a rental $1000,00 a fortnight at my age of 60.
Great video I live up in Jax we shrimp alot in the river I was raised on that St John's River 42yrs later I've caught prob a ton of shrimp lol there amazing to eat with some redfish or flounder my favorite thanks for sharing the wonderful video.

Luv your videos, another great 1, my wife bought me a big tray of shrimp for my birthday, about the size you guys caught. Be safe down there Ian and family.
Hey Tug the next time you go shrimping can you do a before chum cast? Then chum it and wait your normal time. I just want to see the difference. I believe you that it works I just think it would be a cool video.
Awesome shrimp trip Ian. I have to agree, House Autry is the best fish batter out there, at least for being store bought. Tight lines and screaming drags!
I caught some shrimp off the dock in Alaska one time, and they all tasted like the creosote on the pilings… well, the first one did. I threw the rest away… was fun to catch them tho!
A custom net is freaking fantastic I've got several but a store-bought Walmart windup net is absolutely effing hilarious😂😂 🦐🦐 Great video thanks guys !
Im up in Maryland. We just finished our crabbing for this year. That looks fun though! (Edit Primus has a song called "Harold of the rocks". U should check it out. Lol)

I'm suprized that yea didn't water up the kiddie pool😅
My grandma taught me to use cattle cubes for bait when I was a kiddo! Great video!
That American Flag is in very poor condition, I will gladly mail you a new flag to place on that dock for the sweet lady.
Agreed as a combat veteran

did you recorded him? so we can maybe learn his technique
@@Rawflcounsel76the nets most Asians use have very little lead and are nylon
I only have one arm and throw a 4 foot net. Even a 3 foot Wal Mart net works great for kids and ladies.👍🤩
@ someone would have to give you a hand with a larger net
@@brettstaley3730 Oh no. I can throw a 10 perfectly but it wears me out quick. A 4'-6' is easy for me. I use my teeth.😮🤩👍🤩
