You don’t know me but I really get to feeling bad for you when you talk about losing Debra and being alone. My late grandmother died a few years ago at 100 years old, obviously outliving my grandfather who lived a good 94 years himself. My grandmother was a Godly woman and lifelong Christian, who spent much of her time each day praying and doing a daily and nightly Bible reading and devotion. You’d ask her about being lonely and she would adamantly deny it. She would always say that she was so close to the Lord that she could feel His presence so strongly, it was as if He was sitting right there in the room with her. Man I wish I was that close to the Good Lord.
Hey there buddy Steve. I know the feeling of being in the house alone. It's so quiet and lonely. But I have you to watch you and listen to, and that brightens my day. GOD BLESS YOU TODAY AND ALWAYS, my friend..❤😊🙏🏽
Been watching for several years now and its cool to see how your video editing has evolved and the new gear and setups you've acquired all while you still keep the same quality fishing. It's relaxing just to sit back and watch the fish come over the rail.
Keep on doing what you're doing old fisherman you bring life to me and others I know. My condolences to you Ms Debra was a joy and she could catch some fish🙏🙏🙏🙏☝☝☝🐟🐟🐟💪💪💪💪😜😜😜😜😜
Loss of loved one is a hard thing to take, deal with, and try to get over. I'm 60 years old, the Lord has taken my whole family. Father, Mother, all three Sisters, and a Daughter. My Best Friend always says she doesn't know how I deal with like I do. And I tell her the same thing over and over. Because I "know", that their in a better place now, wrapped in the Lord's arms. With no more pain or suffering, so Old Fisherman. You find a little peach in knowing, Ms.Debra, is with the Lord, and all is well 🪽🪽🪽🪽🙏🏾🙏🏾.
@@theoldfisherman2040 No Sir, I know that, we all deal with it differently, and in our own time. No way was I trying to minimize your loss, pain, "or" loneliness. Old fisherman figured those crappie out and got on some slabs. I love crappie fried whole or filet with skin on or off. That sure looked good with the sweet pickles. That back bone is some good eating for sure. Love the tail, better than a potato chip for sure.

This is good content I’m glad I found this channel. The reason those crappy won’t come over there and get that mellow unless it’s real real close to them is because the water is so cold they have to preserve their energy they won’t burn no energy for a meal they have to gain more energy than they’re gonna burn to go after it so it’s got to be right in front of their nose right on top of them

Old Fisherman, I have to ask why you keep those slabs that are 2 lbs.? Don't you want to throw them back to keep the genes going? I would say you could get by without keeping those large sows.
Because I like them big ones to eat, there is a 1 mile of lake that can't be fished at the plant end of the lake, don't think that keeping some to eat is going to hurt, besides the smaller ones have eggs also.
