I’ve thrown a 6 ft castnet for decades but recently bought a high quality 8 ft net and there’s a big difference casting an 8 ft. Thanks for these instructions.
I just bought a 10 foot cast net with chain weights. You did an awesome job with your demonstration video because I’m throwing pancakes with my 10 foot castnet
Hey JC, now you have me interested in getting a cast net finally. A great how to video brother, thanks. Going out tomorrow morning to the spot we went to see if there is any REDS. Take care brother.🙌
Very similar to how I throw a 14 ' but instead of grabbing lead line with main net hand just drape about 10 " over the forearm behind coils in hand, the right hand is exactly the same as the way this fisherman does it ,50/50 ,excellent video!
Good tutorial, the only thing I would add is don't just let the net roll off your pinky, but snap your pinky in the rotation off the net (clock wise) at the very end, and it will really form a nice pancake
‘Nother nice video and one that teaches a skill. Perhaps it was because of my comment of your last video? 😅 Working smarter, not harder, is the way to go. Identifying what characteristics makes your videos stick will provide you with the information of doing that on a more consistent basis. Good luck

Thanks for the info! Tried it and it is much easier for this old salty guy to throw!
Been throwing it this way for over a year now. I originally saw this method on another content creators channel. Pancakes Every time!

Very good JC! Stop playing with net, catch some fish on rod and reel! 😀

Definitely going to try your way. Looks like it works well. Thank you for the instructions being very thorough. 👍🏼🤙🏼

Great video JC. Thats basically the same way i throw 12 and 14 footers.
good to know!
Pretty cool
Nice skills. Simple 👍
So you throw from left side to right side but most bides right hand people throw from right side to left?
Open got it, but I’m having trouble with the left side of the net opening fully, any suggestions jc?
Good Info

Nice
I had a 3rd arm surgically added... Much easier 😎
how long have you been throwing a cast net?
Smaller nets for many years, but this heavy 8' net only a couple of months.
@@RadReelingFishing yes practice makes perfect
🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
Get the syrup out😂😂
When I cast it just makes a horseshoe and not a pancake. Not sure what I am doing wrong.
Definitely confusing for me. Idk about trying to throw with my non dominate hand. But if it works great but there much easier methods out there
For an 8' net I'm not sure about an easier method. This one suits me fine for this heavy net.
I know an easier way!
"Too much crap! There are much easier ways to load the net. Ok😮
Not sure about everyone else but to me that is not easy. I will stick with my 4 footer.
That's easy??????!!!😂
