@@HeathenDance I did, but look at the context, I was congratulating the interviewers for originality and focusing on him, rather than seeing him as a storyteller of the past of another famous band.

I read Dave biography book years ago. He could end up like any other dead rock stars. But, here he is now. Sober, happy, and still plays fast and heavy songs. That's just miracle.
Yeah his autobiography is fantastic. I have it on Audible. I just wish Dave himself narrated the book but it's still really great to have. I was also a heavy IV drug user (shooting heroin/cocaine, drinking heavily, taking psychedelics, etc). Any one of us who have been through the fire 🔥 and come out the other side not only alive but striving and sober are as resilient as they come! God must want us all here for one reason or another!

@@bladeofwar I think it was good but he also has tons of time with the guests unlike in this when I had 30 mins to do it. 😊 This would have lasted around 45 to 50 mins most likely if I would have had time to ask all I had. 😊

Youthanasia is a masterpiece in my opinion. Incredible album from start to finish. Surprised Dave is a bit unhappy about it.
I guess it does have the most inconsistent sound of all the albums because I always noticed a few songs areway louder or a few were a bit more quiet
I love the album, but it always bugged me that I had to tune my guitar down half a step just for that album lol
My favorite album! Everything in it connects.
Same. Wouldn't say it's their best album, but it might actually be my fave Megadeth album.
I really enjoy Youthanasia but it's not my favorite Megadeth album. That would have to be Peace Sells though Rust in Peace and Countdown to Extinction are pretty much tied as my favorite Megadeth album just depending on my mood..

Mission to MARS has one of the best riffs he ever wrote, it's a killer song the second part is amazing.

@@chaoszine i’m the one of the person who can put Dave at the same shelf of Michal Jackson and Chester Bennington because of his unique voice, like the Dave’s voice a lot and always when i listen to Megadeth i try to imitate him and my throat always hurts😂

He really does have a unique voice. It fits the aggressive and manic sort of music. His snarly, loud and feisty voice is perfect for the music he plays. It's also extremely impressive how he plays those highly intricate guitar chords/riffs while also doing vocals at the same time. It's also saved him and the band a LOT of money seeing how Megadeth only 4 money seeing how that makes the band a 4 piece instead of a 5 piece. The less band members the less money they have to split up.
Great interview. Dave is such a legend, I can listen to him talk forever and ever. Funny sense of humor and so many great lessons you can learn from him.
He obviously has a very long history with music so its always great to hear his stories!

Surprised he didn't mention his grandmother, she use to call him rattle head because of the head banging, so you already know what rattle head became. 😉

The most important guitarist in metal history, imo.
Really appreciate the man Dave has become. He's thoughtful, articulate, and genuine. I'm not a huge metal fan but I'm a Dave Mustaine fan.
Dave has definitely outshined his old band Metallica, he's an inspiration to us all, thanks Dave for being real.
Agreed. No hate against those other guys , they are great too, especially Kirk, but DM seems so down to earth, no silly celebrity fluff.

Saw Megadeth for the first time live on Sunday at Bloodstock and got to meet Dave Mustaine the night before the show!!! Dave, James Lomenzo and their road crew were at the same bar as me purely by coincidence. Also very briefly caught Dirk as well.
I told Dave I was a massive fan and he said “namaste” meaning he was happy to meet me but too tired to talk.
He later came to the table I was sat at, and while he didn’t say anything, he very kindly gave me 2 of his plectrums and signed me an autograph.
I wished Dave the best look for Bloodstock the following day before he went and he thanked me.
I’ve covered Dave’s amazing work on guitar and vocals for years on end.
Thank you Dave for making my life truly awesome, meeting you this weekend was an absolute privilege I’ll never forget!!!

9:20 that was the most inspirational thing ive heard in a long time... and from a guy i look at as a guitar god and metal icon.... i wish i heard that 4 years ago im 26 now which is young for some old to others but fuck it i got 1 life im gonna try my ass off to do what i wanna do

Dave matured like fine wine. As much as I loved the tongue-in-cheek say-it-to-my-face young Dave (which I could relate to when I was also young), it feels as we are getting old together through the years, we kinda stay in the same page... :)
First Danny Worsnop and now Dave Mustaine, my two favorites bands, Asking Alexandria and Megadeth.
Rough childhood, broken household, poor... Statistically he wasn't suppose to be successful.
What makes him inspiring is his grit to keep picking himself up. Self taught on guitar, joined a band that spearheaded the Thrash genre, kicked out then created one of thrash greatest bands. Band breakups, drug use, party lifestyle homeless while making a record and still made awesome music.
Poster child of persistence pays off.
This was enjoyable I think Dave gets harshly judged TBH & when an interview is conducted professionally he's always interesting. Well done you could tell he respected you for it.
Dave you did it and successfully have a master band thats epic. You deserve everything you have. And we listen because of it.
