I have been taking baking soda in water before bedtime to settle my digestion and avert reflux in the middle of the night. I usually don't have any digestion issues until a while after eating....then 1 to 2 teaspoons of baking soda relieve those symptoms....with a burp! Ahhhhh!!😲🙂
Sodium bicarbonate is like an Alka-Seltzer WITHOUT aspirin included. Sometimes just some seltzer water works too. Then other times, baking soda with seltzer water, after a fizz down...is super powerful to relieve any gas and bloating and late-night reflux. Within less than a minute, it relieves ALL indigestion. I never thought it had other benefits. I sometimes wondered if it was harmful, but both our saliva and pancreas create it.

I've a friend who has got kidney failure going Dyscise .. will try with baking soda 🙏🤗👌👌
I have kidney failure. And when I have Acid Reflux after taking my Pantoprazole Sodium and effervescent. And I get on top of that a dry pasty mouth (Indication my kidneys are not doing so well). I will put a teaspoon of Baking Soda in a glass of 10 oz of water and drink it. Then I do got relief. I'm glad this supports my concerns on that.

You need to take R alpha Lipoic Acid. It is the active form…not Alpha Lipoic Acid without the R in front!

I wouldn't take it together. I did it once. It bubbled up caused pain in m.y chest and shoulders last until. It stoped bubbling

Very informative. Do you think R-Lipoic Acid is better because it is more absorbable than the combination Alpha Lipoic Acid? Also, you mentioned your mispronunciation of "bicarbonate". I can suggest something to help....I a not cirticizing since I only speak English and you are at least bi-lingual (with excellent English skills), and that humbles me. If you are reading from a script you have written, write out "bicarbonate" phonetically where it occurs in the text. Write "bye-carbonate" and you will nail it every time.

If you use baking soda, I suggest getting a good 'food grade' source.
Doesn't higher acid levels, especially asorbic acid, fight bacterial infections in the body? Higher acid levels keep bacteria from sticking to the walls of the bladder slowing UTIs.

Potassium is not a person with kidney DZ's friend as the K level rises and this can cause lethal arrhythmias... So, no.

How much baking soda and how often ?
I take Bicarbonate Boost from Amazon per my Naturapath. It’s pill for which is great and I take 1 pill in morning and 1 pill before bed. I’ve had great results!
I make my own homemade super sensitive tooth powder using bentonite clay and baking soda, just the smallest amount of baking soda 98% bentonite clay. And a few drops of organic essential oils for flavoring... It makes sensodyne look like garbage. That it certainly is. Is sensitivity in my teeth is nearly gone now.. I've been using making my own for nearly a decade now. I also make my own laundry detergent but that I use a lot of baking powder. That stuff puts tied to shame. And my skin isn't nearly as sensitive because I'm not getting all that phosphates and whatever garbage that is inside a tide on my skin after getting washed .

Crud. You had me interested when you said soda. But lost me when you said baking.
When you mix baking soda with stomach acid you get salt where Is baking soda going to small bowel?
What about Magnesium Bicarbonate. Isn't that better. Since mixing Magnesium Citrate and sodium bicarbonate makes Magnesium Bicarbonate. Which is how our paleo ancestors got Magnesium from the water.
