"I don't really wanna run around with them on during the day anyway - that's kinda 'bro-ish' " Lol my thoughts exactly. I see a lot of people tap it into the injector fuse, which means they're on whenever the truck is on, period. Thanks for the vid, showing a MUCH better alternative.
Thanks man, for showing how to do this, I look at a few other videos, but yours was more detailed with better camera angles. Also I was looking to be a little Bro-ish by having them with the DRL's, 😆 but now I know why they can't really be set up that way.
Man I sold my 18 taco a couple months ago and your videos make me regret it. Once I get my new OR I’m going to have to hit you up for some trail riding
That add a fuse you installed showed the fuse at 7.5 and the lower fuse was at 10. You accessed a 10 amp fuse so did the add a fuse have the correct fuses installed? BTW your video was very informative i desperately need info on the add a fuse and you gave that to me. Now it’s gonna be a piece of cake.
I’m stupid!! You know the wires you pulled from the battery so you could route your new wire through it at 9:23? Well I did the same. I forgot to plug it back in and I turned on the truck. Of course I’ve fixed it since, but I have a check engine light now. Suggestions?
7:38 those are the pluggable add a fuse right so no need to cramp them after connecting them? Please respond I wanna install them already they’ve been sitting in my shelf for 6 months
How do you know what amp fuse to use for the lights? I have 15amp fuses. I have watched video's where they have 5amps, 10amps and 15 amps for the lights
So if you're using an add a fuse, the extra fuse you use will need to be greater than the one it's replacing. Search "how to use add a fuse" on UA-cam and there are a couple of good explanations.
Thanks for watching! Lighter was for the heat shrink connector. You heat it and it melts some solder on the inside to help secure the wires together. As for the ground connector, you can pick up a set of connectors like that pretty much anywhere (Autozone, Walmart, Lowes, etc.)
I'm not 100% sure but I'd bet they're relatively similar. I'd suggest searching on TacomaWorld to figure out which fuse would be best to use. Typically there's a thread where someone explains what each fuse goes to. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!
Soon as I saw the volt meter pop out I was like nope lol Ill just take it to the shop - I suck at DIY stuff. I wish there was a way to hook them up with the DRLs. I want them to blink when I unlock/lock truck along with the led headlights, and also during the day to be on when my DRLs are on. So far every video doesn't seem to know how to do it tho
Yeah unfortunately getting it to work with the DRL is pretty difficult. Requires tapping into a headlight wire and putting in a fuse and diode into the headlight connector.. more than I know how to do lol I remember seeing a Tacomaworld thread on it a while back
@@KnightWheelsMedia Dang that sounds tedious. I will most likely just go with connecting it into the inj fuse and having them come one when I turn the truck on
@@DavyDave1313 INJ fuse hmmm. Have you had a problem when you turn off your truck and the lights come back on by it self after 4 hours even when the truck is off.
I actually had the fuse wrong in the video if I remember correctly. I have it turn on when the headlights turn on. That said, I just looked on TacomaWorld to see which fuse others had used.
Thanks for watching!!

Hahaha yeah definitely didn't want that. Thanks for watching 🤙🏼

Yeah unfortunately it's hard to get them working with the DRL haha glad the video was helpful though!
Great install vid. I routed the wires the same way on my video. Keep up the great work!
Nice, thanks man! 🙌🙌

For sure! You'll have a blank slate haha
Looks nice. I installed the smoked lens raptor lights on mine, they dont really show up when off.
Nice! Didn’t think about those. The smoked probably look awesome 🤙🏼
Nice job on the install, clean, well explained.
Thanks! 👍
Looks dope!
Thanks man!
Nice, Thanks .Subscribed !
Appreciate it!

Yes the add a fuse needs the same fuse for the spot you're replacing, as well as another fuse that it lower than the original.
Thanks for watching!

hmm not sure.. maybe unplug the battery & plug it back in?
Where is the DRL fuse? I have a fog light to tap to it. Please advise. Thanks
I think the DRL fuse ended up not working as expected unfortunately

You need to crimp & apply heat if they're heat shrink

Hey dude! Great video. Quick questions, what were you doing with the lighter? Also, where did you pick up the ground clip? Thanks!!!
Thanks for watching!

Do u know if the raptor lights void warranty?
They'll only void warranty if they are determined to be the cause of the issue.
Will these fit my 2021 Tacoma Heritage Grille?
Not TRD Pro Grille...
I don't think so. They are specific to the Pro grille.
🔥🔥
🙌
Is this fuse box the same concept on 2nd gen Tacoma?
I'm not 100% sure but I'd bet they're relatively similar. I'd suggest searching on TacomaWorld to figure out which fuse would be best to use. Typically there's a thread where someone explains what each fuse goes to.

One question where did you install the fuses what location in you fuse box
Kinda hard to explain. I'd suggest looking at the Tacomaworld forums to see which fuse you wanna connect to.
Best video!!!
Thanks for watching 🤙🏼

To my knowledge there is a DRL fuse you use instead. At least on a 2020 TRD Sport
I also see using the DRL fuse keeps it on when the vehicle is off so maybe not.

@@KnightWheelsMedia did u tap into the DRL slot? If ;not which one?
For some reason mine don’t snap into place
Should be okay as long as they seem pretty snug
How i can put switch only for raptor light?
you would need to get a wiring harness that will work with a switch
Is it possible to connect the raptor lights to a OEM switch
Yes you’d just need to do some custom wiring to the switch and use a different fuse location
What’s with the eyebrows!!
what do you mean?
Sorry, horrible porn music . The content is great.
Oh man haha porn music?!?! 😂
These aren't raptor lights these are tacoma grill lights.
They’re pretty well-known as Raptor lights.
If you want to be overly specific you can call them “Raptor style” lights for the Tacoma
@@KnightWheelsMedia not sure what site you got them from but mine were simply Tacoma grill lights not ford raptor lights.
@@rx8dude907 right I didn’t say Ford Raptor lol Google “Raptor lights Tacoma” and you’ll see a bunch come up
